Our villa was not bought as a holiday home but as a home for our family to live in. It was completed in 2008 and we have owned it from new. We lived in Nerja and now reside back in the UK. We have put a lot of TLC in the villa therefore you will find the detail to a higher standard than that of your usual holiday let, right from the floor and wall tiles, the furniture, soft furnishings and the electrical appliances. As regular visitors to Nerja we were looking for somewhere new to stay. After choosing the villa via Owners Direct, it exceeded all my expectations when I arrived there. Good location, just a few minutes drive from the centre of Nerja, loads of space and a lovely quiet spot for sitting out and relaxing by the pool or having a meal on the terrace. The family loved it and can't wait to return for another stay.
The villa listing is very accurate, in fact, exceeded our expectations. It was very clean & well maintained both inside & out. Lots of unexpected extras, including pool toys for our grandson & even a baby gate. We hadn't intended to spend so much time at the villa, but it was so lovely there. We had a few bbqs & sat outside way into the night. You can see the motorway from the patio, but it didn't bother us in the slightest.
Communication with the owner was very quick & easy, without any complications.
Nerja Town itself is fab. Packed full of bars & restaurants, very bustly & friendly. We ate at various restaurants in the town & they were all good & reasonably priced. We always walked into town on an evening & it actually didn't take as long as we thought it would, although a car is recommended. The Lidl supermarket just around the corner from the villa is very cheap for alcohol.
We would definitely return & have recommended this villa & location to our friends & family.
Listing description was accurate although the pool/terrace area does look up towards the motorway from which you can see and hear the traffic. Having said that we soon got used to it. The layout inside the villa was superb and the kitchen very well equipped (we ate on the terrace a few times) however the outside space with the pool was perfect. The location of the villa is in a very quiet area so a car is essential however that also meant we were not disturbed by anyone. The villa was clean and we had 3 visits from the pool cleaner to ensure it was kept to a high, safe standard. There is a garage with a small (expensive) supermarket about 15 mins walk away which had a restaurant attached which we would recommend. Overall, with 3 children (6, 11 and 12 yrs old) we were very happy and it offers superb value for money - in fact, for the price and standard we are now struggling finding anything else!
