About sara esler
My name is Sara Esler.
sara esler purchased this Cottage in 2008
Why sara esler chose Staithes
We wanted somewhere that was easily accessible to us and offered lots to do for the children as well as ourselves. We love the village, there are so many nooks & crannys, alleyways, paths, steps, hiding places, look outs, climbing & scrabbling spots, activities, walks, sea views, ghost stories, historic tales, rock pools, fossils, fish in the sea & friendly faces...that we never tire of going up there. The North Yorkshire Coast is a beautiful part of England with many beautiful beaches & coastline to visit from Robin Hoods Bay to Saltburn on Sea, and in land from Surfing at Scarborough & Sandsend, the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway, the famous Magpie restaurant & Abbey at Whitby, Castle Howard, Dalby Forest, picturesque Hutton le hole and Riverleux Abbey.
What makes this Cottage unique
Salmon Cottage is a few steps from the sea and right in the heart of Staithes. The cottage is unusual in the village as it has plenty of space and a garden at the back where you can enjoy a BBQ in the summer months. The cottage is easily heated and enjoys a cosy stove to warm up the living room in winter. Please note although the garden is enclosed it is not secure - dogs can v easily escape! The 2 pubs in the village are literally a stones throw from the front door, as well as the Endeavour which serves high quality meals. The butchers shop next door is open every morning mon-sat and sells fresh bread and milk as well as all the usual.

Really lovely property with plenty of space and very well equipped.
Just a great place a short walk from the pubs , coffee shops and the sea.
Very happy with the location and the property
Only disappointing comment we could make is that the outside seating area was a bit uncared for. Otherwise everything was great.
Hi Neil, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Salmon Cottage. Sorry that you were disappointed by the garden. The garden has been worked on this year but I suspect with the higher temperatures this year that the weeds are winning again. I will make sure this is tidied up and thanks for your feedback. Sara
