Studio Apt - 5 min by train to city centre.

Edinburgh Free Wi-Fi and parking. Modern townhouse in East Edinburgh comprising studio apartment close to Brunstane train station and a 5 minute train journey to Waverley Station, Princes Street, Edinburgh. Princes Street and nearby George Street are Edinburgh's main shopping thoroughfares and offer an interesting mixture of shops, restaurants, bistros and bars. The flat is within easy walking distance of train and excellent bus services. It is close to Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside resort, with a variety of shops and restaurants. The fashionable Shore district at Leith is a short drive away. Attractions such as Rosslyn Chapel (featured in The Da Vinci Code), North Berwick Seabird Centre, Muirfield Golf Course at Gullane and Dirleton Castle are all conveniently accessible from the A1 and city bypass. There is easy access to the motorway network, the city bypass, the airport and the Forth Road Bridge.

Very close to train station - 5 minutes to the city centre and the apt is situated in a very quiet location.

Great stay

Very quiet, clean, well maintained cosy flat. The listing description is accurate. Well located: little riverway to go to the seafront or to the bus/train station. 20 minutes by bus to the city centre, 5 minutes on the train. I would recommend it to a friend.

Great escape!!

My Partner and I wanted a relaxing, cheap break for a couple of days and stumbled on this little diamond in the rough! Its not huge, but not small, its quirky style and well used space makes it feel like a home away from home.

Its so close to the bustling centre of Edinburgh, yet only a five minute train ride away, so you still get a little rural with your stay in the big city. There is also a handy 24 hour asda very close by for those little things like milk and bread.

I would reccommend sensible shoes for your trip, because there is alot of walking involved, and the last thing you want is to be traipsing around with sore feet!

We really enjoyed our stay with Trish, she made us feel very welcome, gave a great orientation and has information for everything in a handy folder and thousands of leaflets for places to go.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. If you are a keen walker the comfortable shoes is a good option. The apt is less than 5 minutes walk to the train station . The train takes 5 minutes and then you reach Waverly station Princes Street . Trish

Comfortable/modest flat between the city and Portabello. Smaller than anticipated but well appointed. Fine for couple. Found it a bit too cramped for 3 (wife and 15 year old daughter) Close to train and good bus transportation. Need to be a walker. Would recommend for budget minded traveller. Very quiet and clean. The price was right.

This Brunstane flat is the ideal location for anyone seeking access to both the seaside and all that the city of Edinburgh (which is only a short 8 minute journey by rail) has to offer. The flat is very comfortable and well appointed and we have no hesitation in recommending it.

Nice easter holidays

The flat is very clean and big enough for two persons. The most time you stay out. Its only 10 minutes walk to the beach with a nice promenade.

Its possible to go to the city per bus or train. The bus cost a little bit more and takes longer to the city. With the train its only 6minutes to the city. Trish is very friendly. A nice trip to Edinburgh.

Nochmal auf deutsch:

Sehr saubere, kleine Ferienwohnung. Ist ausreichend für 2 Personen. Zum Strand sind es 10min zu Fuß. Dort ist eine sehr schöne strandpromenade und ein nettes Restaurant (sehr leckeren Fisch und Steak).

In die Stadt kann man per Bus oder Bahn. Der bus ist etwas teurer und braucht länger (25min). Mit dem Zug sind es 6min bis ins Zentrum. Wir empfehlen eine Tour in eine Whisky destillerie und anch Loch Ness in die Highlands.

The apartment is located close to Brunstane train station which is a 5 minute train journey to Waverley station Princes Street, Edinburgh, and is 1 mile from Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside resort. Opposite the apartment there is Brunstane burn with cycle path which leads to Newhailes House (National Trust for Scotland) and central Edinburgh the other way. A good train and bus service is in operation and a 44n bus operates throughout the night.
