Airy 3-Bedroom, 4-Bath Penthouse Is An Ideal Retreat In The Heart Of The City
Our spacious, airy 3-bedroom, 4-bath penthouse condo is an ideal retreat for families or a group of friends looking for a special place in the heart of the city … yet a world away from the bustle. The building, with its classic Puerto Vallarta “rustic” architecture, is tucked away on the hill above downtown in one of the city’s original neighborhoods where you can enjoy the incredible views and sunsets from the penthouse’s private balconies or shared rooftop terrace.
From the iconic red-tiled cupola of the spiral staircase to the vaulted wood-beam ceilings, arched windows, doors and cabinetry made of tropical hardwoods, our full-floor penthouse will make you feel like you are in a traditional Mexican home, instead of a cultureless condo complex.
The penthouse is within easy walking distance of the city’s best restaurants, bars, eclectic stores and art galleries. The renowned pedestrian Malecon, or “boardwalk,” with its many sculptures, is only a five-minute walk from the building. You can wander along the classic cobble-stoned streets of the neighborhood on your way to Rio Cuale and the restaurants, bars and beaches of the Romantic Zone, or hike a few blocks through the trees up the paved access to the stunning new panoramic viewpoint that is just above our building.
The comfy living room, dining area and kitchen have an open floorplan that is perfect for entertaining or just hanging out. And the ample doors and windows on two sides of the building let in the refreshing breezes from both the bay and mountains.
All bedrooms have a private bath and mini-split air conditioning. The bedrooms are spaced throughout the penthouse so that each room offers plenty of privacy. The roomy master suite has a king-size bed and private balcony with views of the bay and the city below. A second bedroom has a full-size bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. There also is a laundry terrace with full washer and dryer.
The penthouse has its own private rooftop garden patio where you can bask in the morning sun or read in the shade under the palm-thatched palapa. There also is private access from the patio to the shared rooftop terrace.
The building has only six units and is predominantly occupied by owners, their families and friends, so you will feel like you are in a Mexican posada (inn) rather than a complex. The entry level of the building features a lush garden patio with a fountain, a seasonally heated pool, chaise lounges, tables with umbrellas and a palapa. Covered street-level parking is included. Our on-site caretaker ensures that we have beautifully maintained spaces, and he offers an added element of security, as well.

Great condo Stayed March 5-April 2, 2018. GR
Great condo in a good location. All bedrooms are spacious, nicely decorated and well situated so that all guests have their privacy. Roof top deck offers spectacular views of the nightly fireworks. Kitchen has all you need to prepare meals. The condo is centrally located and a easy walk to shops, restaurants and the malecon. Thomas is a great host who is readily available should you need him and goes above and beyond to help in any way he can. The pool and condo unit are very clean and meticulously kept thanks to Loupe. Taxis are 50 pesos from either the malecon or Lei's. The condo was the perfect base during out month here.
Once again thank you Thomas for the use of your home and your hospitality

Fantastic property for family!
My family truly enjoyed our stay at this amazing property! The pool was exactly what my 6-year-old grandson needed! We all swam and loved hanging out there. The rooftop was "magical" to view the city and fireworks. The property is spacious and comfortable with lovely views. Easy walk to the beach and great restaurants. Tom was an excellent host and went out of his way for us! We would definitely return!
Wonderfully Eclectic Unit
We stayed one month at Ibiza Penthouse and enjoyed it. It was very convenient to get to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
The unit itself is very Mexican in style so definitely not your brass and glass styling. You will hear roosters, cats and dogs as this is a Mexican neighbourhood. Sometimes you can also hear music from the Malecon so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.
We really enjoyed the nightly centre stage performance of the pirate ship, complete with excellent fireworks. The rooftop deck is great, as the view is spectacular.
The unit was very comfortable and spacious. There is interesting art throughout. Drinking water is easily accessible and the caretaker will get you a taxi whenever you need one. Tom and Loupe were both helpful and pleasant to deal with. All in all a very pleasing and easy place to stay.
Wonderful place. we loved the view from all of the balconies, the pool was always nice and clean, kitchen had all we needed to prepare wonderful meals when we didn't eat out, the stairs and walk down to boardwalk was just enough to keep us all in shape.
Our family had a WONDERFUL stay here!
Clean, safe, beautiful home. Our family of 5 stayed here for one month during the summer of 2017 and we highly recommend it to others. Thomas was incredibly helpful and was a great communicator. We loved this home's central location. We were able to easily walk to shops, bus lines, restaurants, and the Malecon. Our children (ages 8, 12, 15) really loved the pool as well. This home was the perfect home base for us during our incredible month in Puerto Vallarta. Thank you Thomas!
Perfect for down to earth folk who appreciate local flavor and are able to climb stairs and hills.
A three bedroom, four FULL bathroom condo that feels like a private house, delights with artistic touches and every practical comfort. Not appropriate for people with certain mobility limitations, due to spiral stairs, low toilets, and a high step into one shower. There are 5 other units in the building, and some spaces are shared, but we hardly ever saw other residents and always had full use of the rooftop patio and pool when we wanted it. It was great to have ceiling fans and fully functioning windows in every room, as well as the option of air conditioning if someone really needed it (which, due to health, one person definitely did). Personally I loved being able to leave the windows and doors open (but gates closed and locked for security), finding bougainvillea leaves blowing in, smelling sea breeze first thing in the morning, and hearing the ambient sounds of the neighborhood. For some people, the noise will be a problem - nightclubs and local parties, as well as household sounds and animals are heard as if they directly share a wall with the unit. Noise was least (or least bothersome to some of us) in the front bedroom. I imagine with earplugs it is not a problem for most people; I actually slept beautifully. We loved having a fully functional kitchen, as well as dining at the excellent local vegetarian restaurants. Francisco (caretaker) and Tom (owner) were both incredibly helpful, friendly, and good communicators both in Spanish and in English. It is always possible to call a taxi from the Puesta del Sol condominium office right around the corner. Use the Hotel Siesta as a landmark for taxi drivers. If able, we also recommend walking or taking local buses. Be aware, you must be tidy about food crumbs to avoid ants and other insects -- and there will be some tiny creature droppings here and there, plus some dust from some kind of wood-boring insect, found on surfaces each morning. Ni modo. If this totally grosses you out, you may want to consider a hotel near the airport instead. However, we completely appreciated the opportunity to have a real PV neighborhood experience. The area (known to some as Gringo Gulch) is a great, organic mix of different house types, and was a pleasure to explore on foot. Just make sure you get oriented during daylight and DON'T trust online maps! Many streets don't go through. Overall this was an immensely enjoyable trip, I appreciated every aspect of Tom's hosting, & we would stay again!
