Rock house lodge is located in the hamlet of North Chailey, on the edge of the historic village of Newick.

The Lodge is situated within its own grounds of approximately five acres and home to local sheep and free range chicken. convenient location for Lewes, Haywards heath, Brighton, Firle, Bluebell railway, Sheffield park gardens and not forgetting the famous South Downs National park. Ample parking secured with Cctv.

This individual ground floor accomadation consisting of one double bedroom tastfully furished, dressed with quality linen, deep filled mattress enhancing a perfect nights sleep. double wardrobe plus a chest of drawers for your belongings. This bright fresh bedroom aiding a peaceful nights sleep.

Bathroom consisting of walk in shower,storage cupboard and supplied with freshly laundered towels. Heated Towel rail and spa day complementary toiletries.

This fully equipped kitchen has an integrated electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box and washing machine.

This lounge has been designed and furnished with a country style in mind, soft lighting for a cosy nights enabling you to relax and enjoy your stay.

The lounge consists of a comfortable sofa bed,leather country style base chair, log burner , open plan dining, beautifully furnished lending its self to being a boutique style, tastefully designed.

The lounge in complete with Tv, freeview and unlimited Wifi throughout .

Out side is private offering plenty of space to enjoy and relax.

The bathroom is serviced by a walk in shower with soft quality towels provided

With complimentary soaps.

Ample of out door space with BBQ various seating areas .

A welcome basket is provided offering items such as milk, butter jam eggs and home made lemon drizzle cakes or our delicious oat biscuits .

About Mrs Baillieux

My husband and I live in England. We have both travelled extensively over the years and fully understand what people want and need when staying away from home.

We care about our guests staying at Rock House and nothing is too much trouble .

John, my husband is a retired builder, who loves spending time in the beautiful country side attending to his live stock and telling a tale or two about the latest breed of chicken he has .

Me well ! Most of the time I'm busy cleaning and sorting the paper work out, l love cooking and seeing things just so in the holiday lets and around the estate.

The great thing is that its very easy to get to places from Rock House , surrounded by beautiful country side and the interesting wild life.

There are a lot of beautiful areas to visit around here and the people around these parts are great .

Perfect getaway, quite, restfull, place to relax and chill ambiance and country life.

A place that you can go to be alone to get away from it all. Slope back, withdraw, a period of seclusion, safe, private, beautiful with all the tranquillity and is exactly what you wish for. Such a nice experience to spend some time there in peace, simply delightful. The location is great was easy to reach other places. Turned out to be a great choice, ticked all the boxes thumbs up. Every detail well thought through, fully equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable, furnished with great taste. Complimentary basket containing freshly laid eggs, milk, bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee, sugar and two delicious slices of cake. I rarely give 5 stars, this haven I would give 6. Rock House, the perfect getaway, the owners run this place with great care, very hospitable and accommodating to all our requests - one can see and feel that they fully put their heart into. If you want peace and tranquillity - this is the place to be. Very good value for money we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you Jill and John for a wonderful 2 night's stay everything just great, we would definitely stay here again for sure. Highly recommended.

Bright, clean and welcoming

A warm welcome from Jill, very peaceful, a lovely apartment which was well equipped and so comfortable and cosy. We really loved our stay here and escape from reality. We found some lovely walks and saw deer leaping through the woods which was a real treat. We walked to a pub in the next village and Jill very kindly offered to pick us up after our meal and bring us home, so that we could relax and enjoy a glass or two of wine with our meal.

Third visit!

This is our third stay in the apartment within a year which says a lot. It's built over a garage block adjacent to the owner's property. It is ideal for us (mature couple), providing a well appointed, cosy and quiet bolt hold when visiting family in Brighton. The flat is well equipped with most of the things you would need for a short stay and is beautifully clean. We're OK with the access via the external spiral stairs but it could be an issue for older/less mobile guests. There are places to eat and visit in the surrounding area. We will book again. Peaceful country location

Wow what an idyllic place! Fresh air & fantastic place to recharge. Owners are there but not intrusive, there if you need them & welcoming. Thank you for our hamper. The apartment is cosy & very clean. Lovely area to explore. Will come again if you'll have us.
