Aeolus and Stavlo posess a charm and beauty all of their own. The property has digitally controlled security gates for added privacy, leading to an impressive purpose built hard standing car park capable of accommodating 6 cars. Aeolus, the main house has a large open plan living area comprising kitchen, dining and lounge, leading through French windows to open garden terraces and seating areas. On the first floor are located the bedrooms and bathroom. French windows from the bedrooms open out onto a large sunny balcony with stunning views of the sea and mountains beyond. Stavlo is separately located, adjacent to the main house. It is a self contained studio, can sleep 4 and has a kitchen/dining area and bathroom. The pool is surrounded by terracing allowing ample space for sun bathing and magnificent well kept gardens. Timber framed sun beds with mattress cushions for added comfort are by the poolside. For alfresco dining there is an outdoor kitchen/eating area consisting of BBQ, rotisserie and oven. The house is essentially a charmingly rustic home but with all mod cons. There is ample private car parking and the property has a perimeter wall and gates for added security and privacy.The local baker delivers close by most days.

Hi, my name is Sharon Webster I am the Villa Owner and meet Peli my Greek dog!. A nurse by profession, having worked in the NHS for over 40 years I still live in England, but have a passion for the warm Mediterranean weather and atmosphere. My husband and I purchased the property (land) about 11 years ago and developed it as our second home. We just couldn't bare the thought of Aeolus sitting empty for weeks of wonderful weather when we could not be there to enjoy it, so decided to rent it to like minded people. Why Sharon Webster chose Elation
The words to describe Aeolus and Stavlo are, stunning, spiritual, private and relaxing. Greece as it should be! The North of the island is by far the prettiest and with the most incredible views, although I know I am biased! The north is quieter than the busy tourist resorts of the south, although all of the island is easily accessible by car using Aeolus as a base. The situation of the villa is in very easy reach of some of the Island's most popular attractions namely, the Blue Caves, Shipwreck Bay, PELIGONI Club and the pretty little port of St Nikolus. Although a small conurbation in and around the port area it is not lacking in life, activities, bustling tavernas and shops, there is something for everyone.
What makes this Villa unique
Aeolus and Stavlo are 2 kilometers from the nearest shops and tavernas at the little local port. Beaches are in close proximity and the Peligoni water sports club is close by. The villa is located in the little village of Korithi, it is very private surrounded by it's own beautiful gardens, numerous terraces with spectacular views and large private swimming pool. The property is my summer home so has been comfortably furnished in the way I like and is therefore very different to a lot of the villas that have been designed with renting out in mind.

A beautiful house in mature gardens
This is the perfect house in a really lovely setting. Ideal for families who have children old enough to stay on their own in the separate old stable building so tjhat the parents can have peace and quiet in the main house. The pool is lovely, the gardens are exceptional and the island is easy to navigate. All in all, we thought it was perfect. Thanks Sharon. We hope to be back soon.

I stayed at this villa at the beginning of June with my family including my 15 year old daughter and 4 year old grandson. The pictures do not do the villa justice. it was breathtakingly lovely. The outside kitchen was our home for the next week and we filled the fridges with local fresh vegetables,fruit,food and cold drinks,beers and local wines. We grilled fish and meat over the enormous Bar B Q and lit candles and played board games (already at villa) around the huge wooden dining table,listening to crickets and watching lizards scurry up the walls. The morning welcomed us with clear blue skies and views from the balconies across the hills to the local fishing port whilst buzzards circled above us high in the mountains. Around the corner from the villa, we were greeted with stunning views of Cephalonia. The swimming pool was welcoming as were the wooden sun loungers surrounded by gardens bursting with geraniums,large palms and olive trees. Swimming in the evening was magical as the pool and walkways were lit up with outside lights. The main villa was home from home with everything catered for, large fridges,cooking equipment etc. In the main house stunning comfortable furnishing and local artwork were cosy late at night whilst watching DVDs. A huge wet room with very welcoming power shower after swimming or snorkelling crystal clear sea in fish filled coves. The main bedroom was straight out of Mamma Mia-painted Mediterranean blue and with white canopy over bed with huge French doors opening onto balcony overlooking the bay. More outside seating to relax on whilst reading gorgeous art and design books from downstairs in the villa. The additional little villa was magical and entered by going through a little side gate and wall built around a 500 year old olive tree and was very spacious for my daughter her partner and son,offering 4 beds,large wetroom and kitchen and sitting area complete with Bose sound system. We were speechless when we arrived . Underneath the house is a large laundry room with washing machine,inflatables for the pool ,and play equipment. The adopted cat which my daughter and grandson christened Esme and her kittens became very confident and enjoyed all the attention and feeds they gave her even coming to the back door to say hello and be fed. We cant wait to go back as it was luxurious,homely and magical. Next time we will laze in the hammock on yet another terrace surrounded by bouganvilia and olive trees. RECOMMENDED.
Special interest holidays:
The villa is in the quiet northern tip of the island and offers stunning walks and sunset viewings. For those who require a lively nightlife this is to be found some 20 min away by car at Alikes or Alikanas or Lagana which is at the south of the island. The Peligoni Water sports Club is located some 5 minutes from the Villa offering a range of sailing activities including waterskiing, tennis table tennis and superb fine dining.
Boats can bee hired locally to visit remote beaches, cosy coves and beachside tavernas or indeed take escorted trips to the very local Blue Caves, Shipwreck Bay and ancient monasteries. Daily ferries from the nearby port direct to Catalonia (Captain Correlli's Island) and ferries going to the Peloponnese on the mainland and other islands go from the main port in Zakynthos town
The Villa lends itself well for cooking alfresco with its excellent outside facilities but equally the area is very popular for those painting, reading, walking, sailing and cycling.
Situated in the hillside village of Korythi the property is approximately 2km to the nearest beach at the pretty little port of St Nikolas by car (4 mins). The port offers a lovely beach with free sunbeds and excellent tavernas serving the local Greek cuisine. Long beach is a large beach approximately 15 min away also with good tavernas.
The drive from the airport up the coast road to Aeolus provides breathtaking views of the sandy beaches and craggy inlets as you journey up to the Villa.
A car is essential to make the most of your holiday in Zakynthos, although taxis are readily available. It is a lovely island with much to see and do. The Villa Aeolus is approximately 30 minutes drive from Zakynthos Airport.
The island can be accessed from most international airports, easyJet flights from Gatwick makes travel reasonably priced from UK. There is also ferry access from Cephalonia. On booking, detailed instructions of directions to the villa from the airport will be provided.
The village of Volimes is approximately 15 mins away by car and is well worth a visit to see the the many road side stalls selling ceramics and locally made linens, cafes and tavernas. Shipwreck Bay and the Blue Caves are in very close reach and frequent daily trips to these places are available from the local port St Nikolas. Zakynthos Town, is a cosmopolitan town well worth a visit for those seeking the action with an open air theatre, classy shops, contemporary style and good restaurants.
Zakynthos is noted for being one of the most scenic of the Greek islands with a central mountain spine clothed in luxuriant Mediterranean pines, the northern part of the island where Aeolus is located being particularly beautiful. Korythi village has a bakery van visit each morning, he toots his horn to let you know he is there!. There are two good supermarkets in the local port providing a comprehensive selection of everyday items such as bread, milk, vegetables etc. There are 2 supermarkets located in Katastari which is only a 15 mins drive away. The mountain village of Volimes about 20 mins away is an ideal place for souvenir hunting with a wide variety of local goods and artefacts for sale in its many market stalls and shops. Here you will find locally made pottery, linens, leather goods, honey and olive oil. The nearest cashpoint is in Alykes, 20 minutes away.
The house manager is able to source a reliable local babysitter upon request with adequate notice.
Booking Notes: A non-returnable deposit of £400 is required to secure the booking. The balance is required 8 weeks in advance of the departure date.
