Stunning apartment, tastefully furnished, fully air conditioned, sea views, with a private roof terrace, sun terrace off the lounge and a large sun terrace off the kitchen. Location is in the tranquil Sao Rafael just a few kilometres west of Albufeira. 10 mins stroll will take you to the beautiful Sao Rafael beach recognisable from picture postcards. Further along the coastline will lead to other fantastic coves with red rock formations and superb restaurants. The area has numerous other restaurants, supermarkets, bars etc. The stylish new marina, Albufeira Old town, Salgados golf course, Zoo Marine and water parks are also nearby offering a fantastic choice of entertainment for all the family. A bus service runs right outside the apartment from Gale Beach to Albufeira.

Notes on accommodation: This penthouse apartment is located on the second (top) floor with access by lift or stairs. The building has underground car parking and a video entry security system. All windows have electric shutters. Outside: The apartment complex has a large sleek infinity swimming pool and seperate baby pool. Private location with sun loungers, toilets and pool showers. There are also two tennis courts. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bathroom towels and bedlinen are included in rental. Beach towels not included. The property is cleaned prior to arrival and once during a two week booking.

Absolutely amazing apartment and holiday complex

I can honestly say that this is the nicest apartment that we have ever stayed in. The all round views from the different balconies are amazing. This is the second time staying at Sao Raphael but the first time in this lovely apartment. The location is ideal for it's beautiful beaches and restaurants and a nice walk to Albufeira. The property was lovely and clean and well maintained and the facilities were exceptional. The interior decor was second to none The apartment had everything you needed for a self catering holiday and the BBQ was most useful. The welcome pack was also brilliant and just what we needed on arrival. The management company were also exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. All in all a fantastic holiday and we will definitely return. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Over the years, I have rented many holiday apartments. This one surpasses all!

If like me you have high standards for your families living accommodation while on holiday, you will not be disappointed in this apartment.

From the High Specification finish, to the quality of furnishings, helpfulness of management and size of the apartment, views, outside space and welcome pack, we could not have been more pleased.

The whole complex was clean, safe and well maintained. It was perfect. Just perfect!

Special interest holidays:

Ideal for walkers, golfers and of course sun worshippers!


A short stroll to Sao Rafael the local beach. Other sandy coves are a short distance along the coast (Castelo, Evaristo, Coelha and Lourenco) and are definitely worth the visit. Gale is a long sandy beach and is only a 5 min drive away.


Sao Rafael is 35 minute drive from Faro Airport. Transfers can be arranged on arrival and the excellent local amenities mean that car hire is not essential. Buses run frequently into Albufeira and the new marina and taxi's can be arranged from the nearby hotel. It is an easy drive from the airport should you prefer to hire a car. Check out 'economy car rentals' for free excess insurance and two insured drivers.


Albufeira Old Town is 5 - 10 mins by car or bus (bus stops outside the apartments). The marina with shops and restaurants is 5 mins by car or bus. Zoo Marine is 20 mins by car. Water parks are dotted all within a half hour drive (The best one which includes a roller coaster is at Quarteira). Vilamoura is 25 min drive.

Further Details:

The newly built marina offers sailing and fishing excursions. Especially recommended are the trips to explore local caves and unusual rock formations and of course the sunset cruises. It is great place to eat and drink, keep an eye on the notice boards for the events held throughout the summer. For a busier atmosphere Albufeira town provides shops and restaurants-a-plenty and it's square is a great place to sit, relax and people watch.
