Villa in Piedra Amarilla, Partaloa, near Albox, Almeria, Spain - Ideal For 2 Couples With Young Children Or Families Looking For A Moment Away From It All

Large modern 3 bedroom villa in a quiet area, with ample terracing incorporating an outdoor bar complete with fridge, barbecue and full sized Riley pool table. There is a 10x5 m swimming pool which is walled and gated, and a six seater "Sundance" heated jacuzzi available for an additional fee. There is a covered terrace with comfortable wicker furniture, this flows onto the open terrace incorporating table and chairs, outdoor table football, with gates onto the pool area, where there are sun loungers and another dining area next to the bar. In the gardens we have a mini crazy golf alongside the orange trees as well as a petanque area and sport field (badminton/volley/minfoot). The inside of the house is furnished to a very high standard with a extensively equiped kitchen, 3 large bedrooms with a super king size bed (180x200cm) and small safe in the master bedroom, dining an lounge area, TV and wireless/broadband internet access, DVD/CD/MPEG3 player. The market town of Albox 5 minutes drive. beaches and attractions +/- 30 minutes.

Why Wim Rossey chose Partaloa

When we were looking for a house in Spain we paid close attention to finding a real home in a location with a favourable climate.

This brought us to the Almeria/Andulusia region and the town of Albox more precisely, as this is a real part of Spain that lives and breathes all year, not a tourist hotspot without any real character.

What makes this villa unique

With all the activities around the house and in the neighborhood there is plenty to do for the whole family at any time of the year.

The villa is located a few km outside the town of Albox.

This gives us access to authentic restaurants and people and a city with 10.000 inhabitants where live continous through the winter, but still with easy access to beaches, attractions and interesting cities to have a day out.

But we also made sure that the house offers a full stay's worth of activities with many indoor and outdoor recreation possibilities. So if you don't want to leave the doorstep, just stay on the 1000m² terrain and enjoy all we have to offer on site.

For those willing to explore the area, beaches and attractions are +/- 30 min drive. Outside: The villa has around 200 m². of stone floor terracing, with pool bar, 6 seater heated Sundance jacuzzi, a 10m x 5m private swimming pool with comfortable loungers. There is a full sized Riley pool table on the terrace bar, a Garlando outdoor football table on the terrace, also comfortable wicker furniture under the covered terrace, as well as three sets of dining table and chairs on different locations on the terraces and in the garden. There is also a stone BBQ. The outside bar has a fridge and bar stools. In the 600m² garden you can find a mini crazy golf area, a petanque/jeu de boules area and a sport field as well as parking for up to 3 cars within the walled garden. The gates to the pool area can be closed, but still giving access to the rest of the terraces and garden, making our villa totally child friendly and giving you peace of mind. There is ample lighting to the exterior of the villa, as well as around the pool bar, petanque and sport field. Utility Room: Also available: cod, wooden child bed, hig chair, safe for your valuables, iron+board, hair dryer, extensive set of beach and pool accessories, cool box, golf sticks, wall mounted and portable electric heaters in bedrooms and bathrooms. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. Pool/beach towels included. Pool cleaned weekly. Optional for a small extra charge: extra towel and linen change - welcome set - extra cleaning service. Other: The dining area links the kitchen and living room, making for one open plan groundfloor indoor living space. It has a large wooden table with 8 contempory chairs and RADIO/CD/MPEG3 player. Here you'll find the boardgames, DVD's, CD's and books we provide.

This property was shabby and tired with broken outside furniture, broken appliances and an overall air of having seen better days.

The main point of concern was the pool whose filters do not work which led to a constantly dirty pool, a particular problem given the dusty environment.

The outside furniture is made of wicker which is broken in places and as such a risk of cutting into skin.

The oven/cooker has knobs which fall off and cannot be lit by the ignition...manually lighting it using a lighter or match resulted in a burn.

Much is made in the advertising of this property of the outside amenities however in truth these are also old and have seen better days.

Overall cleanliness of the cutlery and BBQ was also poor.

All this feedback was given to the property owner in a private email however he did not have the courtesy to respond

Your should read the comments of other holiday makers on airbnb, some of them staying just a few weeks before you. Our house cannot be held responsible for a burn while using a match. Nor do we think that the house is looking old and in a bad shape because one terrace tile has a missing edge, out of more than 500m². Great property especially for children, loved our stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at Casa Naranja. Beds super comfy great outdoor seating area.

Swimming pool is large and the whole family enjoyed the pool, pool table, table football and hot tub.

It really does have everything you could ask for and I would definitely recommend it.

We where a family of 2 adults and 5 children and we had more than enough space.

It is a very quiet location and you will need a car.

If there was one thing that would have made it slightly better would have been air conditioning in the master bedroom as it got very hot upstairs. But don't let this distract you from how excellent this villa is.

We most definitely intend to return to this property and we have never been anywhere twice before.

This villa and alleged facilities are in a poor state of repair

On arrival the pool was cloudy and became progressively worse, we contacted the agent after 6 days and were informed that they were aware of the problem, we were unable to use the pool for 3 days whilst it was being solved. Dishwasher and window blinds didnt work and all sun loungers were broken and unusable as were all games equipment. Be aware that only the kitchen/diner has air conditioning so the master bedroom upstairs is very hot. We have stayed in many villas in Almeria province and unfortunately this is by far the worst.

Lovely size and very well equipped. Lovely and peaceful surroundings.

We had a lovely and very relaxing holiday at villa naranja. The villa with all the activities on offer kept the teenagers entertained. We have stayed at numerous villas and I have to say this is The best equipped villa we have stayed in. The villa had everything you needed for your stay. The villa is in a lovely peaceful location and within 10 minutes drive to the nearest town of albox where there are supermarkets and shops. Wim the owner was very helpful with any questions I had. The only negative thing I can say is that the shower head in the master bathroom was broke and water sprayed everywhere when you had a shower so we just used the downstairs shower instead. We would definitely return to villa naranja and would recommend it for a lovely holiday.

Coast/Beach:

The coastal towns are 30 minutes drive with the big water park at Vera also 30 minutes. You can park rigth next to the sandy beaches, stretching for kilometers. Pick your choice from the bussier resort town of Mojacar, the rustic fishing port of Garrucha with it's many fish restaurants or the 8km quiet sandy beaches of Vera Playa or explore the scenic coast for those hidden gems. Almeria port with ferries to Morocco (6 hour crossing) is 1 hour drive.

Travel:

Car hire is essential. Almeria Airport around 1 hours drive. Alicante and Murcia around 1 hour 45 mins. Granada 2 hours 30 mins.

Distances:

The village of Partaloa is 5 mins drive with a handful of bars and restaurants nestled in the winding streets. The market town of Albox is also 5 mins drive. You will find plenty of supermarkets and shops, both English and Spanish. There are a host of bars and restaurants, serving everything from a full English breakfast to Indian, Chinese, French, Italian and of course Spanish cuisine and tapas. There are also 2 bar/cafes 10 mins walk away in Piedra Amarilla village.

Further Details:

There is a large horse riding stables 10 minutes away which not only does riding, but lessons, pony treking and hikes suitable for all riders, with treking days combining lunch at a nearby restaurant and also evening BBQs. Quad bike treking and hire is also available in Partaloa.

The area is perfect for walking with the wonderful mountain views.

There is a bowling alley 10 minutes away.

Thirty minutes drive to the Vera water park and go-karting.
