Our log home is located 8 miles from downtown Cody and we are approximately 60 miles from the East entrance of Yellowstone Park and not far from the northeast entrance through Cooke City, MT. The house is located a half mile off county rd 2AB at the end of a cul-de-sac in a very quiet neighborhood. The terrain is rolling hills and high plains desert which consists of sagebrush and cactus. Landscape around the house has grass, trees, bushes and a perennial flower garden. We sit at about 5400' elevation with spectacular 360 degree mountain views in each direction. We often see antelope, mule deer, pheasants, and golden eagles from our property. We have low humidity, virtually no bugs and many sunny days. The owners live in the upstairs of the house and are renting a private walk out basement of our log home that has been fully remodeled in 2013. It is about 1200 sq ft. It includes one bedroom with a king size bed and plenty of storage. It has a very spacious bathroom, double glass vessel sinks, marble counter, a 5' shower. It includes a laundry room/utility sink located just off the bedroom which will be shared with the owners. We have a fully equipped kitchen that has a full size refrigerator, electric stove, custom counters made from wood that was milled and stained and stocked with pots, pans, dinnerware and the basic supplies for making most meals. The kitchen is full of antiques from the owners old homestead where they were raised in Western Pennsylvania which includes a butcher block, Hoosier, old bottles and tins. The bar comes from a historic cabin on a local private ranch made in the early 1900's. A warm and inviting living space includes queen sleeper sofa and loveseat , a 55" smart TV that has Hulu, Amazon and netflix for movie watching along with surround sound and a custom stone gas fireplace. We have a basic local cable, no direct TV, but we have a blu ray and VHS player and we also have wi-fi for internet access. Just a few steps out the back door is a 20' tepee with Queen bed and electric cord for a "glamping" experience. The tepee will share the bathroom in the house. The tepee has a fire pit on the outside and chairs to kick back and enjoy the mountain views and starry night skies. There is a gas grill and picnic table outside your back door also. This property is ideal for couples traveling together. The tepee is not available Oct 1 thru May 15 as it is taken down for the winter. This property is NOT suitable for young children under the age of 7 and we do NOT allow pets!

Love love love!
Couldn't say enough good things about the place. Easy to find, great views, wonderful owners. Quaint and comfortable. Aaron and Denise were loaded with suggestions on where to go to make the experiences memorable. Will definitely return. Recommend to all.
We are so thankful for people who become instant friends. The whole family is so lovely and we enjoyed having you stay. Thank you for blessing us with your kindness.
Excellent vacation property!!
We saw from the pictures how beautiful the house and property is, however you cannot fully appreciate it until you see it in person! This, coupled with the generosity and friendliness of the hosts made this vacation a one of a kind experience. The house as well as the property is absolutely spotless and there was any kind of amenity that one could use stocked in the kitchen. What was amazing to us was the fact that they treated us as if we have been friends for years. They had a wealth of information regarding activities around the area and taught us a lot about the local history as well. In summary, I don't believe that I could think of anything that would have made this trip better. We also left having two new friends, which is a great added bonus! We are currently planning a return trip for the coming year!
We are ever so blessed and grateful for new friends and amazing guests. It’s truly my passion to give and provide our guests with the best vacation experience ever. Thank you for giving us a great experience also. Look forward to having you back.
The property was perfect. Home was very clean and well supplied. Comfort abounds
Can not say that we found anything adverse about the property. We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for peace and quiet. The skies were amazing at night.
Our stay did get off to a bad start. When I was looking for places, I entered two adults and pets. The first spoken to us were Oh you have a dog. Took me back and I felt adversely. It rounded down to leaving him outside. The heat was extreme. If I had not already paid, I would have sought other arrangements. Had to kennel my dog.
I did not feel warm and fuzzy at that point.
Received a msg from property owners after we had left. They were wondering about a tube of lotion...where it went. We spent $225 a night and you lost a tube of lotion. They were nice people. Felt like we were intruders.
It is a lovely property.
Slice of Heaven
Absolutely wonderful!!!! My husband and I were traveling with my parents, this rental fit our needs to the tee. Breathtaking views all around. The sunset glorious. The inside of the home is decorated so beautifully, super clean and had everything you could ever need. The teepee was a bucket list item for my husband and I and we sat outside each evening watching the shooting stars. There are even battery powered candles in the teepee. The beds in the house and the teepee were both super comfortable. One night we grilled out and there is even a fire pit and chairs to add ambiance. The hospitality of the Connely's was outstanding! They even gave us suggestions on where to find the most animals in Yellowstone and they were SO right! If you are considering staying here, look no further!!! This place is magical:)
We absolutely loved having you all here and sure wish we had more time with to show you around. Thanks for encouraging us and being such great renters and new friends
The west at its best
Outstanding in every way. If you are a small group heading to Cody this is the place to be. Gorgeous property fully outfitted and supplied, decorated to rival any HGTV spot!! But the cherry on top is the teepee!! So fun, unique and romantic. Again beautifully decorated and supplied. We loved dozing to the night music and waking to watch the sunrise. Our hosts were nearby but never intrusive, gracious, generous with their hospitality and kind advice. We became fast friends. The property is within 15 minutes of downtown Cody and the airport. Such a treasure among the many VRBO offerings!!
Thank you. We are so truly blessed by meeting people like you. Yes, instant friends and hope to keep in touch.
Best vacation experience yet
Denise and Aaron are gracious hosts that have thought of seriously everything you might need. Fully stocked kitchen with all the baking/cooking pots and pans and oils and spices and coffee and tea you might need. Bathroom also fully stocked. You see the apothecary chest in the bathroom? Each drawer is full of any bath supplies you might possibly need. There's also a ton of games to play, brochures on every imaginable activity, and just everything you would possibly need to be comfortable. Denise and Aaron went above and beyond and are inviting of any suggestion you might have to improve your stay.
The split king beds in the master are adjustable and very comfortable. The teepee was perfect for our daughters. I really couldn't think of anything to improve!
Denise and Aaron were also spot on with recommendations on things to do. We let them know what we wanted and they never led us wrong. They helped us find several amazing off the beaten path adventures. I really feel like it was more visiting good friends. I only regret we couldn't stay longer. There's still so much we wanted to do, a week wasn't long enough to take it all in! Guess we just have to come back :-)
I highly recommend Aaron and Denise's amazing home for an unforgettable getaway.
For best experience, 4 wheel drive vehicle is very recommended.
We truly gain friends and love having you in our home. The homemade baked goods that were shared with us and celebrating your daughters 17 bday with the absolute best carrot cake ever made.
