A first floor luxury apartment with air-conditioning and heating. The apartment is situated on an exclusive complex, with shared pools. The apartment sleeps 4/6 with a private balcony with views over fields towards the mountains and over open ground towards the restaurant area. It is ideally situated with restaurants, shops and banks a few minutes away. The beach and tree lined promenade are a ten minute stroll from the apartment and there are many golf courses in close proximity. The apartment is in an ideal position to explore the areas of Costa Calida. Ten minutes from Murcia Airport and fifty five minutes from Alicante.

About Vince

I live in the southeast of England with my partner of many years. My job requires a great deal of worldwide travel which may on occasions may mean a short time delay in any response. We love to visit Los Alcazares as often as possible and always feel we have arrived home. One day we plan to settle there.

Vince purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Vince chose Los Alcázares

When we were looking to purchase in this part of Spain we spent some time driving from Alicante around to the La Manga Strip. We found Los Alcazares to suit us best, with a superb promenade to stroll along with a number of local tapas bays, with a mix of international and local restaurants within the town. There are a large number of British people, but the area still has a very provincial Spanish flavour. Once we saw the Puerto Marina complex we stopped looking as this was perfectly located and appointed, which is the feedback we always receive from friends and guests alike.

What makes this apartment unique

On occasion we do not hire a car as everything you could want for a relaxing break is within in a 10-20 minutes stroll from the apartments. However there are a number of marinas, secluded bays, fishing villages and historic towns as well as the free saline baths all with a short drive. There is always a friendly atmosphere amongst residents and guests around the pool and garden areas which makes it enjoyable just to stay in and chill out.

Just a quick note to say thank you for a fantastic break in your lovely apartment. It was really well located, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for the break. The kids loved the pool and the town itself was brilliant.

Notes on accommodation: A selection of CDs DVDs games, books, picnic set beach umbrella and beach chairs are available. This is a non-smoking apartment. Baby equipment can be arranged/hired on request. There is a personal safe located within bedroom 1. Outside: There are three large shared swimming pools with separate children's pool areas, with a large paved and landscape surrounding them within a secure gated enclosure. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included (not beach towels). The apartment is cleaned before and after each stay. Mid week cleans can be arranged for longer stays at additional costs.

Close to amenities and beach in Los Alcazeres

Friendly welcome and good communication. Nice apartment a bit chilly at first but heating was available and worked well. Apartment is well equipped. No sun on balcony but it is February. 2 mins walk to tourist square and 10 mins walk to the beautiful promenade and beach. Los Alcazeres is a great base to tour around from if you hire a car. It is quiet in February and most shops still observe siesta time, but it depends what you prefer and we managed to get everything we needed without the busy hustle of peak season time. The sun was shining most days and reached 20c at times the apartment had chairs you can borrow to sit outside in the complex. The area is surrounded by beautiful coastline and lots of orange groves and vegetable fields. The market on Saturday was great and we'd recommend a visit to Cartagena. The English breakfast and welcome is excellent at Red Lion, Los Alcazeres and best tapas was at Isla Plana outside Mazarron. The Spanish liqueur 43 is worth a try!

Although there was little sun on the balcony at that time of year and the apartment had cold soaked since the last guests at the New Year it at 20 was significantly warmer then the UK in February. The property was in great condition with everything you need. Would highly recommend. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and Clive the key holder who lives on site met us on arrival and very helpful.

Loved our stay at Los Alcazares, the apartment was lovely and brilliant value for money, everything we needed was there. Great position to walk to the bars and beach, couldn't fault it at all. Will definitely return

Lovely apartment

This is a lovely apartment with everything you could need. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed including a fabulous juicer that we made lots of use of.

The sky TV was great, at the time we were there the Olympics was on, I am a big fan and managed to keep up to date with all the action. The double bed was immaculate and comfortable and the safe in the bedroom was a bonus. Plenty of towels and equipment to take to pool if required including childrens toys. A good choice of books and DVDs, read a couple and left a couple The air con was included in price so we tried not to abuse it and only used for an hour or so a day, the fan in the bedroom was great, that was used a lot.

The gardens and pool areas were kept spotlessly clean and never too crowded.

Some good supermarkets in area, we especially liked consum, gorgeous fresh produce, lots of choice and a decent price.

The main square was just a short walk away and was a lovely safe place to spend time, lots of families with children, and some great places to eat. We had a day at Cartagena and it was gorgeous, bus service was a bit hit and miss but we got there in the end.

The beach was a little bit further to walk but worth it, lovely warm water that never gets too deep, very safe.

Good information from owner and a fantastic file at apartment with lots of ideas and tips about area, we used that a lot.

The key holder Clive was really good, showed us around and told us what we needed to know and was always a text/call away if needed.

A 10 minute stroll leads you to the gently waters of the Mar Menor, which is 1-3 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean. There is approximately 5 km of promenade, with many cafes and tapas bars.


The apartment is a 10 minute drive from Murcia (San Javier) Airport which is served by a number of low cost carriers from all over the UK and Europe. Alicante Airport is 55 minutes drive. A car is not essential at this property, as there are a number of good restaurants, bars and supermarkets within 5 minutes walk. Hiring of cars and bicycles is available close by.


There are a number of picturesque towns and cites as well as some of the most fertile country side in Spain close by. The old historic towns of Murcia and Alicante are both 45 minutes drive. The naval town of Cartagena is only 20 minutes away. There are also a number of large shopping complexes within the area.

Further Details:

There is a local market with direct produce from the 'garden of Spain' every Tuesday and some local fishing villages within a few miles serving excellent fresh fish and seafood.
