This luxury apartment is situated on the ground floor of a quiet complex with landscaped gardens and secure underground parking. Just 2 minutes walk from shops, bars and restaurants, the Old Course is also nearby and it is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk or a short drive to the beach and marina. The flexible sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate up to six adults. Air conditioning, satellite TV and wireless broadband internet access. There is a large terrace overlooking the swimming pool and a smaller balcony adjoining the fully equipped kitchen. If you have friends or family looking to join you on holiday, please contact us as we know the property manager for several other apartments in the same complex and have already helped other larger groups. About June Garner or Sonia Eldredge

We are June, Sonia and Phil and we bought the apartment in September 2007. Sonia and Phil live in Warwickshire. Phil is a telecoms engineer and Sonia works part time as an editor on a puzzles magazine. Our two gorgeous children, Arthur, who is five, and Molly, aged three, are already big fans of holidays at the apartment where they get to spend the morning at the beach, the afternoon in the pool and the evening eating lots of yummy food. June is Sonia's mum. She lives in Northamptonshire but works for Network Rail in London.

Why June Garner or Sonia Eldredge chose Vilamoura

We visited the Algarve for a family holiday to celebrate June's 50th birthday and had a wonderful time so when we decided to take the plunge and invest in a holiday rental apartment, Vilamoura seemed an obvious choice.

Phil already enjoyed playing golf so he was impressed by the amazing choice of courses on offer and June has had lessons so she can join in the fun - even little Arthur is a budding golfer now!

We all love the great beaches and the friendly atmosphere in the Marina.

What makes this apartment unique

We love how much space there is around the pool with the pretty gardens, palm trees for shade and plenty of grass for the kids to let off steam without bothering anyone else! With a supermarket, cafés, restaurants, and bars just 2 minutes walk away we often find we have no need to venture much further than the end of the road on a relaxing break. But if we do want to head further afield, the stroll down to the Marina is very pleasant or we can take the road train which the kids just love! We can also arrange bike hire, car hire, day trips and golf games at the booking agency just around the corner.

We've made the sure the apartment is really well kitted out for young families as we know that happy children equal happy parents!

"A great apartment in a secure, friendly and well maintained complex and area. Ideal for both a relaxing 'do nothing' holiday or a good base for exploring the area. We generally did nothing and enjoyed the excellent pool facilities then took our exercise in the evenings by walking to the Marina! Notes on accommodation: Air-conditioning, satellite TV, local telephone and broadband internet access. Young families are very well provided for with use of a highchair, large wooden cot with bed linen, further travel cot / playpen, potty, toilet training seat, bouncy chair, changing mat, sun tent, children's chairs, pushchair (6 months plus), group 1 car seat and lots of toys, books and DVDs. We can organise transfers in a mini-bus with child car seats for approx. 32 euros each way. Outside: Landscaped gardens, lawns, large shared pool and baby pool, showers, male and female WC down by the pool. Plenty of loungers, mattresses and parasols (June - Sept inclusive). Tennis court is free to use and we provide racquets and balls. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels included. A change of bedlinen and towels will be provided for stays of more than 9 days. Additional cleaning and laundry can be arranged at an extra charge. Beach towels are also provided but we ask that they be washed on departure. Other: Large west-facing terrace with dining furniture and loungers. Small balcony off the kitchen.

Lovely quiet position but easily accessible for the fabulous Marina and beaches

We had the most wonderful holiday and will be returning to this apartment next year!

It had everything and more. Lots of extras to help us enjoy our stay. The owners have provided things like beach towels, picnic bags and blanket, buckets, spades, even a couple surf boards which entertained the children no end!! Fab!

Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful place to be

The apartment was clean, spacious and probably the best equipped place I have ever stayed at.

The surrounding area is well kept and Vilamoura is family friendly. No lager louts here! Restaurants offering the very best cousine from all over the world. Will returning without doubt!

Beautiful, safe area with very well equipped apartment

Family of 4: 2 adults, 2 toddlers - all enjoyed!

The surrounding area of the apartment is beautiful, it's green, it's floral and there's not a neon sign in sight.

The complex is very secure and well maintained. The people (both locals and holidaymakers) were very welcoming. We recommend A Carpa restaurant around the corner.

The apartment itself is a home from home. Extremely well equipped, so much so that many items didn't even make it out of our suitcase.

It's clean, it's spacious and the pool view from the terrace is great. It is also quite cool in the apartment even without the aircon on.

This was our first holiday abroad with our children and it couldn't have been more ideal. We're already planning to return next summer.

The owners are extremely helpful as is Alain who does the airport transfers. Top guy!

Highly recommended.

Great place for quiet stay

We arrived on Sunday 6th September. We had originally booked this apartment for our 1st holiday with our 21 month old daughter in April. However due to an illness at the last minute we had to cancel. Thankfully June was soooo understanding and allowed us to re book at no extra cost at a time that suited us. This was so unexpected but we were really appreciative of this. Before we arrived they had booked a taxi to bring us from the airport and return us on the day we left. The apartment is in great condition and is a lovely ground floor apartment that gets the sun all evening from about 1pm. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the marina but there is a road train that runs ever 50 minutes that is great and our daughter loved it. Overall I would recommend this apartment for young children as the pool is really well kept and was never really busy. Loads of toys for kids to play with and keep them entertained. Thanks to June and Sonia for a truly great holiday!

Fantastic apartment in Villamoura

We stayed in October 2013 with our 3 children (11,11,6). We had an amazing holiday and loved the location of the apartment. We did hire a car which made it easier to get around! The area was very quiet in October, the nearest restaurants were closed so a car was essential. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable with a large ground floor balcony. There are lots of extras that you wouldn't normally expect which are very useful. A selection of DVD's, kids toys, internet, towels and useful store cupboard items. The apartment complex is lovely with well kept swimming pool, gardens and tennis court. In October the pool was very cold but lovely to sit around, the weather was gorgeous when we were there. I would definitely recommend the apartment, the owners go out of their way to ensure you have a lovely holiday.

Da Praia Aartments, Vilamoura

Not our first visit to the Apartment and fully enjoyed our family holiday as much as last time.

All arrangements and booking with June (the owner) very straight forward and usual easy transfer from the airport arranged by June.

The apartment offers everything you need and is very clean and modern. Probably one of the best positioned, being ground floor with a nice view across the pool area from the outside dining/sitting area.

The apartment is part of a small complex and is key code gated and very secure. Many of the other apartments are resident and privately owned and therefore not crowds of other holiday makers on package holidays. The whole grounds and gardens are very well looked after and there is a very large pool, sun beds, toilet facilities and an excellent tennis court. Nice to sit by the pool all day and have a picnic on the grass.

Great location for us as it is a very quiet area with easy access to a Spar and other local shop within a 5 mins walk. Would recommend Spar (turn left out of complex and left again). Fresh bread and everything you need.

It takes about 30 minutes to walk to Vilamoura marina and it is a really pleasant walk in the evening along a specially constructed, well lit and garden landscaped pathway down the centre of the main road in to town. Never got bored of doing this walk and walking around the marina with busy shops, bars and millionaires yachts etc Lovely atmosphere.

Would recommend the apartment to anyone for a very relaxing and peaceful holiday - Oh and fantastic Algarve sunshine.

Both Vilamoura town beach and stunning Falesia Beach are just a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. There are dozens more beautiful beaches within a short drive.


Faro airport is a 25 minute drive. We can arrange transfers for you in a mini-bus, including child car seats at the cost of 32 euros each way.


Supermarket, restaurants, pubs, cafes, golf booking shop and hairdressers 2 minutes walk. Bowling green and crazy golf 10 minutes walk. 15-20 minute walk / 5 minute drive to the centre of Vilamoura, marina and beaches. Taxis cost approx. 4 Euros. The Vilamoura road train stops outside of the complex providing easy access to the whole resort and great fun for the kids!

Further Details:

Watersports, fishing, scuba diving and boat trips are all available at the Marina. Horse riding, go-karting, shopping malls, historical sights, vineyards and several water parks/theme parks are all located within a short drive of Vilamoura. The Rio Formosa Natural Park is just south of Faro.
