About elaine rowlands
We have owned this apartment for 10 years now and we use it ourselves 3-4 times a year.I work in the travel industry and my husband is in IT so we travel a lot professionally but Nice is our home away from home.
elaine rowlands purchased this Apartment in 2007
Why elaine rowlands chose Centre Ville-Gare
We bought in Nice as I wanted somewhere sunny with a beach but also somewhere culturally rich. Although we love coming in the summer and lazing on our favourite beach (Villefranche), we also come sometimes in October, December, February and April so we want to be able to go exploring. I am continually amazed at how much there is to do and see in this area. Nice is also so easy to get with plenty of flights from UK airports and our apartment is a 5 minute walk from the airport express bus stop. We do not charge extra cleaning fees at the end of your stay so the price you see is all you pay.
What makes this Apartment unique
We love the fact that we are in the centre of Nice. There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from, supermarkets with long opening hours and museums, beaches, shopping streets and much more are minutes away. What we really like though is that we are not over-looked. There is no-one peering in at us and we love how the church can look so different depending on the time of day and the time of year.

Our holiday was totally spoiled because of biting from bedbugs every night in the bed. My husband is a doctor and specialist in dermatology, so we are quite sure about the diagnosis. We took fotos of our damaged skin. My husband became ill af the bitings.
I am very sorry to hear about this. In the 13 years we have been renting our apartment out & staying there ourselves 3-4 times a year, we have never had bedbugs. It would have been greatly appreciated if you could have informed of this problem rather than posting a negative review & not giving us a chance to recify this problem. We have seen no photos nor have you contacted us. This is the first complaint we have had in 13 years! Please take this the right way, but are you absolutely sure it was bedbugs as you mention your husband but not yourself?
The perfect pied-à-terre in Central Nice
A delightful 2-room apartment with a perfect balcony overlooking the beautiful church of Notre Dame. Nothing fancy or memorable in the furnishings, but everything you need for a comfortable and convenient--even romantic--stay in Nice. Easy walking distance to a great market and, of course, the beach and everything else Nice has to offer. Highly recommended!
Ideal central location
A great apartment situated in the heart of Nice. Very handy for public transport. Beautiful view from the balcony.
Perfect apartment, perfect stay
This delightful apartment lived up to its description and previous reviews! Views of Notre Dame, sunny spacious rooms, convenient location and short walk to Monoprix for your shopping needs. Owner Elaine was easy to work with and very responsive. Loved it!

It is 15 mins walk to the beach and/or old town and this pleasant stroll takes you down the main street, Jean Medecin.
The airport is 20 mins away by taxi or bus. A car is not required as the train, which is a 5 min walk away, connects you to the whole of the Cote d'Azur and local buses can whisk you into the interior.
By train, you can easily visit Cannes, Antibes, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Monaco/Monte Carlo, Villefranche, Beaulieu and Italy.
Regular buses go to Eze, Grasse, St. Paul de Vence, Vence to name but a few.
Within 2 mins of the apartment, there are at least 4 boulangeries for your morning croissant and baguette. Also 3 supermarkets with late opening hours. Countless restaurants are within a few minutes walk catering to all tastes from traditional Nicois food to pizzas, fresh seafood and a range of international cuisine.
