Nearby is the unspoilt village of Lamothe Fenelon, with medieval church and two restaurants, a small lake and children's playground. 5 km away is Payrac, picturesque, with a superb village shop, pharmacy, doctor and three restaurants. Two excellent towns are 15 km away with supermarkets and all amenities. Dordogne river is 10 mins drive and the property is well situated for the major tourist attractions of the Dordogne region.

We sold our apartment in the Alps and moved to the Lot. The choice was easy after falling in love with this house at first glance.

A welcoming house for a great family holiday
It is a beautiful property in grounds that are great for families and with a fantastic pool. The small children loved running round in the meadow and if they disappeared they were often found munching grapes off one of the lower vines! The attitude of the owners makes you feel very welcome; you feel that they want you to really enjoy your stay.
The house is simply but very tastefully decorated and very well equipped. There were 11 of us and we had everything that we needed.
We enjoyed eating out on both sides of the house, counting the hot air balloons in the distance and watching the sunset.
It is in a fantastic area with so much to explore and do, at the same time the house is a wonderful place just to relax and read!
A very good holiday!
We really enjoyed all the space available, both inside and out. The children - aged 6,4, 3 and 1 - loved to run in the meadow, play with the sports equipment, swim and pick plums for supper. We also picked wild herbs from the meadow for our meals.
The scenery in the area is stunning and we had several good days out to different attractions – Rocamadour, LaCave, the train at Martel, canoeing, Quercyland, Carrenac and more.
The boulangerie and alimentation in Payrac were convenient and welcoming.
Overall we had a very good holiday, and would love to come back again sometime!
Probbably the best
We had a great holiday – this is the fourth house we have stayed in via Owners Direct. All the others were great – this one was probably the best.
The property was easily large enough to accommodate our whole party (up to 8 adults and 3 children). We had a lovely relaxed holiday – even on the ‘bad’ weather days it was usually warm enough to eat outside. Experienced some spectacular storms, which were exiting. Fantastic sunset views from the terrace where we had our evening meals.

Car essential. Transport links: Airports: Brive/Dordogne 0,5 hr, Bergerac 1,5 hr, Limoges 1,5 hr, Toulouse 1hr 45 mins - 2hrs. Calais approx 7 - 8hrs (driving time) motorway then 15 - 20 minutes from A20. Train from Paris 4hrs 30 mins to Souillac then 15 - 20 mins.
Local village 2 km; Payrac 5 km. Two excellent towns, Souillac and Gourdon each are 15 km away and the property is well situated for the major tourist attractions of the region: Dordogne beaches 10 mins. Sarlat 35 mins. Rocamadour 45 mins. Numerous villages, castles, caves and other attractions less than 1 hr.
Canoeing, riding, tennis, cycle hire all available locally. Numerous local markets, farm visits, working mills, arts and crafts fairs throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn seasons. Wide variety of sporting activities. Wide range of excellent restaurants.
