Our apartment is set in a secure, gated complex with well-maintained landscaped gardens with a swimming pool & children's pool (Seasonal - June to September), two padel tennis courts and a children's playground. Inside, the apartment is furnished in a comfortable, contemporary style and can comfortably sleep up to 7 people (4 beds, a double sofa bed and pull out bed). A cot and a high chair are also available. The spacious living/dining area and master bedroom, with en-suite, both have patio doors leading onto a large balcony/terrace. There is a fully equipped modern, fitted kitchen overlooking the tennis courts, and separate utility area. A second twin bedroom and further bathroom. For your comfort, there is air-conditioning for the warmer months and heating for the cooler months. There are also a selection of books and CDs. The apartment comes with a private car parking space. Out of Season Isla Canela is quiet, but is very relaxing, with miles of beach, perfect for long sunny walks is perfect for really winding down and chilling out.

We live in a village in West Yorkshire although I am originally from London and my wife from Newcastle. We have 2 children and love Isla Canela, Ayamonte and the surrounding area. We love the "dual holiday" aspect as we are next to the Portuguese border.

We have been going to Isla Canela for since 2004 and have had our property there since 2006. We love the area and the people from every nationality. Our Children also love meeting up with their friends, British and Spanish, every time we stay in Isla Canela. They also love the beach, pool, and the playground all close at hand! We love our apartment and have furnished it in a comfortable, rustic style. Our holidays here are the only time we really feel relaxed and have the opportunity to recharge our batteries. The apartment has the enviable position of being located right on the beautiful stretch of unspoilt, golden, sandy beach surrounding the island. The apartment complex has a gate onto the lovely promenade lined with palm trees leading onto the beach.
45 mins from Faro airport, or 1.5 hours from Seville or Cadiz airports. We recommend hiring a car to get to and from the airport. It also allows you greater freedom in exploring the surrounding areas during your stay at Isla Canela. However, we can arrange for transfers to and from the airport (payable locally). We can also help with arranging both flights or car hire so please contact us if you need any assistance.
5km from the traditional Spanish town of Ayamonte. 3km from Isla Canela golf course. 1 hour away from the beautiful city of Seville (the capital of Andalucia).
A selection of bars, cafes, restaurants, small shops & supermarkets can be found nearby at the beach as well as the marina. Opposite the Marina sits the traditional fishing village of Punta de Moral where you can sample the catch of the day in some of the typical Spanish restaurants.
The pretty local town of Ayamonte with its neatly whitewashed houses, pleasant tree-lined squares, and baroque churches has much to offer with a selection of shops, tapas bars, cafes and retaurants. There is an indoor market (mercado de Abastos) with an abundance of fresh fish, meat and colourful fruit and veg stalls. You can catch the ferry from Ayamonte to Villa Real de San Antonio in Portugal across the Guardiana River (10 mins ferry ride) allowing you to enjoy the delights of nearby Portugal. From Isla Canela you are also ideally placed to visit the beautiful cities of Seville, Cadiz, the Donana national park, Palos de La Frontera (where Columbus began his trip) and the Portuguese Algarve. You will find an information pack in the apartment which offers an insight into all of these areas as well as many other things to see and do on your holiday in Isla Canela.
Booking Notes: Our apartment is also available for long weekends, please enquire with regards to cost and availability. Please note that we require a reservation/breakage deposit of £100/€100 to secure a booking, which is refunded at the end of your holiday once the apartment has been cleaned and checked. Pleas note that deposits are non refundable for any cancellations. Payment in full is required no later than 1 Month prior to arrival. Changeover Day: Arrival and changeover days are flexible outside of high season, however on departure date, we request that you vacate the apartment by 12pm. This may be extended if there are no new clients arriving on the same day. Notes on prices: Prices are for the property per week including pre and post cleaning, fresh linen and air-conditioning/heating. Long term winter rentals are also available.
