Notes on accommodation: The house is particularly suitable for children as the gardens have large expanses of level grassed areas. Outside: Private pool 12m x 6m which is fully enclosed to ensure the safety of small children and pets and is maintained weekly. Set in 4 acres of gardens/meadow, with its own water basin and shallow stream which runs along one side of the garden. Small children will need to be supervised near the stream. Large south facing terrrace partly shaded by a canopy covered with vines and wisteria. Small private terrace by bedroom 2. Full compliment of tables and chairs situated on all terraces. Comfortable loungers with umbrellas. Webber Gas BBQ. Utility Room: Fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, iron/ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linens are included, including pool towels. The property is cleaned weekly and linens and towels are changed weekly.

Incredible house, lovely grounds & picturesque French village

Everything about this property was excellent. The view, the classy french rustic interior of the house, the well kept gardens, the pool and the picturesque village of Bargemon just up the road.

Joanna the property manager was also the most helpful people we came across during our stay in Provence.

All-round a fantastic house which I'd thoroughly recommend.

Perfect house for a holiday with a baby!

We loved staying at La Maison Blanche (June 2018) - the house is equipped with everything you could need. We had a 10 month old with us and it was perfect for him as the pool was protected, there were toys and a high chair and cot. Plus lots of baby plates and spoons etc. A microwave is also ideal for when you have babies!

Great kitchen and oven and bbq too!

The areas to sit outside are lovely and there is a good number of deckchairs as well.

Our only criticism would be that one of the double beds is very single - so the couple in that room didn't sleep too well..

We had a great time - comfy beds, good baths/showers, lovely pool and all beautifully clean.

Perfect for a family holiday - not smart but comfortable and nicely decorated. The pool was lovely and there was lots of outside space (a little on the scruffy side but fine). Perfectly situated outside Bargemon and very quiet - the walk up to the town was short but steep so good for working up an appetite. There were a few minor niggles eg. light bulbs needed changing and the outside light for the top terrace was broken. I would also expect more in the way of essentials such as silver foil,washing up brush/pads,washing powder,loo roll in all the bathrooms,a few extra bin bags etc. Generally in other villas, the rule is to replace anything that runs out. These are minor quibbles but annoying and so easy to remedy. Overall however, I would recommend this villa.

Owner's Response: The house is furnished as a family home and we hope that guests find it comfortable and inviting. Unfortunately as the season progresses, things can break and light bulbs inside and out may need replacing. These should be checked by the cleaning team, who will be reminded about the need to ensure that all are working prior to guests arrival. Guests are encouraged to call the house manager in the case of any such problems. I am unsure what is meant by scruffy terraces - not a comment we have received before. Although due to the high temperatures experienced this year, there was a ban on watering systems and I suspect the terraces and surrounding flower beds did not look their best. As the house is self-catering we do not supply tin foil etc. All bathrooms have a toilet roll on arrival, and a welcome pack is provided. Joyce Hibell Owner

Beautiful House in a Great Location

We had a fantastic week at LMB. Three families were able to stay comfortably with all the bedrooms and washrooms. The pool was used extensively as was the ping pong table. We loved walking up the path to Bargemon each morning to get our fresh baguettes and fruit. The people in Bargemon were all very friendly, made us feel welcome and even enjoyed helping us with our French. LMB was an oasis of style and comfort and we enjoyed every minute of it. Sad to leave!

a small family reunion

We enjoyed outstanding grounds and a setting providing a true sense of privacy and beautiful outside dining on terrace that could accommodate 9 people comfortably. There was a well-appointed kitchen with attractive cookware, dishes, and glassware. Five comfortable bedrooms and a large swimming pool. In addition, there were outdoor games and equipment such as a ping pong table and boule as well as indoor games for all ages including a collection of dvds. We enjoyed reliable internet service. There is a short but uphill walk to the village to pick up morning croissants! The location is superb for traveling to important sites throughout Var and beyond.

A great family holiday enjoyed by all.

A lovely property in a brilliant location with spectacular views. Swimming pool was really good and enjoyed by all. The village offers a range of good restaurants and you can walk to the village even though it is a little steep. We did it several times and coming back is easy, downhill all the way. Good shops in the village and the small supermarket is very well stocked.

A car journey of 30 mins takes you to Lac St. Cassien, ideal for young children with its beaches, pedalos and restaurants. Lac St. Croix and the spectacular Gorge du Verdon are a 45 min drive away. There you can go rafting, sailing, climbing or for wonderful walks. It is 30 miles to St. Raphael on the coast and St. Maxime, 35 miles to St. Tropez.


A car is essential for a stay at La Maison Blanche.

Airport: Nice 45 miles (75 mins). Toulon 45 miles (75 mins). Marseille 90 mins.

By Car: Via Channel Port to Aix-en-Provence and A8 to Le Muy. Approx 730 miles from Calais.

Nearest Railway Station: Les Arcs, 15 miles. London to Paris/Paris to Les Arcs.


The village of Bargemon is just under 2 Km from the house. A short-cut walk will take you about 10 minutes.

Draguignan a market town is 12 miles away.

Bargemon is a charming and picturesque village which retains the original 12th Century gates and fortifications. It abounds in fountains, shaded squares and restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. It has a small weekly market and boasts two boulangeries, a small supermarket, a butcher, newsagents, tabac, greengrocers, florists, bank, dentist, doctor's surgery and a pharmacy. There are many beautiful medieval hilltop villages nearby, each have their own charm, most have a weekly market. Tennis is available in Bargemon and boating at Lac St. Cassien. There are many good walks nearby and for the really energetic a Grande Randonee along the base of the Gorge du Verdon or, for those not so energetic a drive along the spectacular rim of the gorge. Cycles can be hired in Bargemon. Skiing is possible in the Southern Alps, 1hr 30 min away. The coast and beaches are within easy reach, as are St. Tropez, St. Raphael, Cannes and Antibes. There are Cote de Provence wines to sample at Figanieres and perfumes to sample in Grasse. A car is essential to explore this wonderfully unspoilt area of Provence and also enables you to sample Provencal cuisine in the many and varied restaurants.

A 25% non-returnable deposit is required on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.

Changeover Day:
In high season the changeover day is Saturday. The house must be vacated by 10am that day in order that it can be prepared for incoming guests. Arrival after 4pm.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Inclusive of cleaning, bedlinen, towels/pool towels and pool maintenance. Rental includes electricity, gas and water consumption. Electricity is charged according to metered usage between 1 Oct and 15 Apr. Wood for the fire in the lounge is charged according to usage. Broadband is free. Emergency local phone calls. A deposit of 25% when booking. A £400 returnable security deposit against breakages. Discounts available for longer winter lets.
