This is a truly tranquil setting for anyone seeking peace and relaxation in the beautiful countryside of Murla. Sleeps 4 adults and 2 small children.

This property is completely private. Only 20 mins from many glorious blue flag beaches and resorts, including El Vegel, Calpe, Moraira, Denia, Javea, El Portet and 45 mins to Benidorm. The charming, authentic village of Murla, has a Spanish bakery and 2 x Bars which are just a few minutes walk away. The surrounding area is very flat and easy to get around. A short walk away you can view spectacular sea views across to Denia. Eating out is incredibly cheap and there are dozens of good restaurants to choose from in the area .This holiday would also be fabulous for cyclists, mountain bikers, and ramblers due to the beautiful mountains around this famous Jalon Valley wine region. We are very confident that you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here as it is always described as 'a piece of paradise' by anyone who has ever visited or stayed here.

We have a Cat called Bonnie who sleeps next door in the outside utility room. She does like to pay a visit for left overs!

Just a few words of appreciation following our return from a fantastic week's holiday. We were so delighted with the welcome on arrival and to see the trouble Andrea had gone to. After such a long day the beers in the fridge were particularly well received! After daylight we could properly appreciate how peaceful the location was. It was just what we needed. I felt that I felt that in reality it was even better than it looked on the website. The combination of peace and quiet, the pool, very comfortable furnishings and the TV made us and especially Griff, our son, feel really at a home from home. This had been the main difficulty in the past when when had taken holidays which had upset him becaue there was so much that was unfamiliar to him. Notes on accommodation: This property is suitable for small children as the pool area is walled and gated. Travel cots, highchairs are available for a small additional charge of £10 per week. There is also a large basket of toys for young children, freely available to save on your luggage allowance if required. fans provided foc. The Casita has an outside staircase leading to bedrooms. Outside: The area is totally secluded. There are acres and acres of vineyards, orange, almond, and olive groves. The photographs of our property do not do it justice as the surrounding area is much more beautiful than we can portray on this website. The setting is simply breathtaking. You will be overwhelmed by the sense of freedom in the natural rural position of this property. Our gardens also contains all of the above plus many various fruit trees for your consumption and the obligatory lemon tree for your fresh G & T's. Patio with outside table and chairs, settee, chairs and coffee table. 4 sunbeds in various locations. Table tennis. Large 8.5 x 4.5m swimming pool. Pool with table, sunbeds, parasol. Large deluxe gas barbecue. The area is very safe for your children to explore should you wish. Utility Room: Washing machine Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedding and towels changed weekly. If you require a mid clean which consists of bathroom and floors the cost is €20.00 payable directly to the cleaners. Perfect, secluded and picturesque

We travelled as a family of four during end of July. Our boys are 16 & 18. We can honestly say it was absolutely perfect for us. You definetly need a car though. Views to the mountains and surrounding areas are amazing.

The pool area is bathed in sun all day and is so secluded. We had a great time playing games with real quality family time. Our eldest can only tolerate a certain amount of sun so took his PlayStation with him. The living area was perfect for that as it meant he could come in and out as he chose. The split living area (almost most like 2 flats) with bedrooms/bathroom upstairs and day living (kitchen/dining/lounge) downstairs was also perfect as it really gave 2 areas of privacy.

Our evening consisted of BBQ's, paella and more family time.

It was such a quiet peaceful holiday and although there is a villa next door, we never heard anything from them as their living space is in the opposite direction.

We will definetly return in the future! It was perfect!

Overpriced for what it is. I have had much better for much less.

How can you call this a 3 bed villa when the so called called 3rd bedroom is the hallway between bedrooms and bathroom. Pool light and light in seating area by pool not working despite being mentioned by another guest 9 months ago. So sat in the dark every evening.

I counted 4 outside lights not working or broken. I have used owners direct and stayed in jalon valley for the last 10 years at least. This is way overpriced for what it is. Photos can be be deceiving the property is very small. And there was only 3 of us staying there.

Also you have to go up a outside staircase every time you need the bathroom.

It was however in a great location, the pool was nice and the views superb. The place was clean and the owners comunication was good.

But as I say you get a lot more for your money elsewhere in the valley, trust me, I know, we have stayed there.

Lovely peaceful property. Exactly what we were looking for.

Property was lovely the facilities were great. Kitchen was well cutlery and utensils and BBQ was awesome. The pool was beautiful and the owner was really helpful when we needed to contact her. Would recommend this if property if you are looking for a quiet get away.

Lovely Quiet Retreat In a quiet town surrounded by mountains.

During our week long stay we were surprised at how quiet the place was which was exactly what we were after. Hardly any issues to mention other than the pool light wasn't working which would of been nice as we all did some night time pool frolicking(and a pool heater would of been even better but it was October). The kids enjoyed it also however did tend to get a little restless towards the end of our stay. The only other drawback i would think would be the size as i thought it would be a little bigger. I wouldn't of liked to of gone with 6 of us but as there were only 5(2 adults, 3 children) it was manageable but maybe im just been too fussy. The really lovely friendly cat which on occasion chose to be me meow'ing outside the window of where my daughter was sleeping early on a morning which, as much as we all love cats (given we have one ourselves) was a little frustrating for her. Oh and a cooker hood/extractor fan could really be utilized as when cooking for 5 of us on the cooker we definitely needed the door or window open which is fine through the day but on a night becomes a hotspot for insects flying in. Other than that it was great. Jan the property manager was great with the minor issues we had. For us the best town nearby was Xalo where there was some lovely restaurants and a supermarket among other shops. There were others nearby but we just preferred Xalo. Was absolutely lovely just chilling outside on an evening with a glass or 2 of wine...erm ok then several glasses of watching the stars go buy chilling on the sun loungers. In the day even though it was the back end of October the temperature was still in the 20's and even though there were a few overcast days it was still warm. We did gather a few oranges and made some "fresh as you can get" juice which was nice. We would of liked a barbie but it did feel a tad claustrophobic where it was but im sure in peak summer we would of much preferred it to be situated where it was for shade. It would of been nice if it was on wheels so we could of taken it nearer the pool area where we all were but it didn't dampen anything by any stretch of the imagination. All in all a lovely place with friendly locals and perfect if you want to be away from the concrete jungle in a nice open setting surrounded by mountains. We give it 4 stars although we think it would probably be a tad under due to the points given but feel it would be brutally unjust to give it 3 or even 3+. Many thanks

Excellent propety in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Having visited the area previously, including twice in November, we decided to come back for the last of our fair weather cycling of 2016. Good weather isn't guaranteed at this time of year, but we had a week of warm sunshine until our last day when the it was raining and windy. The accommodation is comfortable and ideal just for the 2 of us, with a well equipped kitchen and good amenities. It was clean and well maintained, and the owner was very helpful in arranging our booking with our odd dates. Outside space is amazing, and we made good of use of it, apart from the pool! The location as very quiet with pleasant views, and perfect for cycling or walking on the many challenging and exciting roads and trails in the area.

Amazing location, great pool and outdoor space

We stayed for a week at the end of August 2016. The outdoor space and pool is amazing and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone! It is in a really nice quiet area. We found lovely quiet beaches just north of Denia and most of the time had 100m of beach to ourselves :)

Andrea was so helpful with the booking. The property is great. Look no further for your booking.

Special interest holidays:

Cycling and walking enthusiasts will love the pretty villages and there are many to explore.


Only 20 mins drive to Denia, Javea, Calpe, Moraira and diving school, Marianas. Benidorm and all it's theme parks include Terra Mitica (Spain's answer to Disney Land!), Aqualandic Water Park, Mundo Mar (dolphinarium) Terra Nature - animal park. Locally you have tennis, karting, horse riding, and bodegas, where they make the local wine and you get to taste all the varieties!


Airport taxis can be arranged for £80 each way, but car hire is highly recommended and can be as cheap as £9 per day! Alicante and Valencia airports are the nearest airports. They are about the same distance (100km/60 miles), each are about an hour's drive on the A7 (AP7) motorway. Alicante is the larger of the two and has probably more flights available. Valencia is smaller which gives it a certain charm. Flights to each of these airports are available from many UK and European locations.


Jalon is a 5 min drive with a superb famous Saturday market with bars, bodegas, supermarkets, restaurants, Banks etc. The local pretty village of Murla has a restaurant, a Spanish bakery with fresh baked bread daily, a pharmacy, a couple of bars, large communal swimming pools and children's playground. Murla markets are on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

There are only 2 properties within our4 acres of unspoilt scenery. Pretty working villages and wildlife are a must-see for nature lovers. Murla has amazing stunning views and scenery from every angle. Its pure, fresh, sweet smelling mountain air is truly inspiring. Murla has the advantage of being close to many tourist areas and attractions but without being affected by them! This gives the visiting family ample opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities and sights. Some of the many possibilities within a short drive include many interesting towns and villages including the historic cliff top castle at Guadalest - built by the Moors around 300BC. Most of the local towns and villages have a weekly market and fiestas (festivals) throughout the year. Karting and quad-biking are available locally. There are plenty of mountain bike tracks offering easy and challenging routes, family cycling and walking on the level, traffic-free tracks and trails that criss-cross the region. Snorkeling and scuba, and various boat trips are available off the coast of Denia. For the children big and small, how about a day out at one or all of these fun parks! The Aqualandia Water Park, Mundomar Marine Animal Park and the Terra Mitica Theme Park can all be found at Benidorm. El Vergel safari park is 1/4 hour by car. Shopping - Denia is a substantial coastal town with a large selection of shops of all kinds, it's about 20 minutes drive. Plenty of parking available. Head to the Balearics - Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza are a ferry ride away from Denia. Murla has it's own Bodega owned by Helen and Peter Arnold. They are award winning wine makers and experts in their field with decades of experience. They offer wine tasting and tapas on a daily basis.
