Thanks to its proximity, the whole family can enjoy these facilities as well as horse-riding, fishing, golf, kayak and rafting nearby. About Rob & Mirna Allen
We are a couple - originally from England (Rob) and Croatia (Mirna). We bought the apartment in Kranjska Gora while we were both living in England - we have since moved to sunny Gibraltar. Kranjska Gora is a village fondly remembered by Mirna from childhood holidays. We have taken our own children there from when they were very young - both in winter for skiing and at other times of the year for walking and cycling ......and generally relaxing!

Why Rob & Mirna Allen chose Municipality of Kranjska Gora
When we were looking for a property to buy, we looked at a number of different places. This proved to be ideal - both for us to use as a family as well as to rent to others to help pay the bills. The block was originally built with flats for holiday lets but they were all subsequently sold to private buyers. The flats themselves are very well designed with really good use of space. I think one of the best features is the dining area/kitchen at a slightly higher level than the lounge. This allows for two distinct places but at the same time open plan. The location is great, with bars,restaurants and the supermarket only a couple of minute's walk. At the same time, it is quiet and peaceful - almost directly in the centre of the village but not affected by any noise. The apartment looks out onto trees from the lounge & main bedroom and on to the car park from the second bedroom and kitchen.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is effectively on a mezzanine level, so just one short flight of steps up from the car park. It has a good open-plan feel with a well equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher, and a nice lounge with flat screen tv and stereo system. Wi-fi is available and the tv receives numerous cable channels. There are lots of books and DVDs to suit all tastes and ages. There is also a selection of board games etc.

Great apartment near ski lifts
Great apartment in the center of Kranjska Gora. Apartment is well equipped, like being at home. Everything you need is close by. You can walk to the ski lifts.

Great apartment located directly in town
Apartment was spacious and a great base for our first visit to Slovenia. Kitchen was well equipped and beds very comfortable. It was also useful to have access to the car park.
We really enjoyed being in the centre of Kranjska Gora with easy access to local restaurants with great food. We hired bikes and would recommend the route which takes you over the border to Italy. Also easy access to Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj and Ljubljana by car.
The only negative we had was the access to the property as the code provided for the key safe was incorrect. It was soon resolved with a phone call, but it was annoying after a long journey.

Home away from home
This year was our 5th stay in Apartment Alpe and the mere fact that we keep coming to it year after year can show you how much we love it.
It is spacious but cosy, extremely well equipped and perfectly located at the quiet spot in the centre of Kranjska gora. It is within a walking distance from the ski slopes, but also many hotels, restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops, post office, playgrounds – everything you need for a pleasant stay in really charming Kranjska gora.
Apartment Alpe doesn’t look like a typical rental accommodation, and with plenty of books for children and grown-ups, toys, games, DVDs it really feels more like home.
Kitchen is very well equipped too, holding plenty of tableware and almost every possible utensil that you can think of. The apartment really has everything listed in the advertisement (washing machine, dishwasher, etc.) and more. It is cleaned properly and in only couple of instances over the years when we needed assistance from the local agent who is managing it the things were easily and quickly dealt with.
Our younger child was only a toddler when we first stayed in this apartment in Kranjska gora and she is already skiing now, while in the every stage of her growing up this proved to be just the perfect place to stay. Our kids love it so much that even when we make plans for summer (seaside) holidays, when asked where would they like to go, they always say „Kranjska gora“.
Therefore we can only highly recommend Apartment Alpe to anyone coming to Kranjska gora, and families with small children especially. We are already looking forward to our next stay there!

Car hire is recommended if travelling outside Kranjska Gora. One of the local agency organises different excursions, transfers from bus and railway stations and all airports. Lake Jasna and entrance to Triglav National Park 15 mins walk. Tranquil Zelenci, the source of the Sava Dolinka river (which ends its journey in the Black Sea) 5 mins by car. Beautiful picturesque Lake Bled: 30 mins by car. 18-hole Bled Golf Course 30 mins by car. World famous Postojna Caves 90 mins by car.
Aqua Larix large swimming pool complex is only 3 min away from the apartment Alpe. Here you will be spoilt for choice in pampering by using any of 2 swimming pools, underwater massage, water jets, whirlpool, a waterfall,Turkish, Finnish and Infrared saunas. Children can enjoy specially designed pool with water slide and other water jet features. There is a casino for your additional entertainment and beauty salon for ladies.
Booking Notes: £100/Euro 150 deposit at time of booking. Balance due 8 weeks before departure. A refundable damage deposit of Euro 150 will also be charged. Should the booking be cancelled at any time after the deposit is paid, the deposit will only be returned (minus bank fees) should the same period be re-let. Changeover Day: Normally, changeover day is Saturday but it may be possible to vary this - please enquire. Visitors are asked to arrive after 4pm and leave by 11am.
