About Nicky Johnson
Hi there, we're Nicky and Steve and we live in the South of England. We are approachable, always happy to answer questions and provide a simple and efficient booking process so you can relax and look forward to your holiday.
Nicky Johnson purchased this House in 2004
Why Nicky Johnson chose Islantilla
We love the underdeveloped coastline in this area, in particular the beaches and walking trails through the pines and dunes that back the beaches. The area has retained a strong Andalusian culture with lots of local festivals and great food and drink. The weather is great!
What makes this House unique
Our guests have commented that they love the area, the beaches and food and in particular the garden which is a great place to sit and enjoy the views and relax. The way of life in Southern Spain is very relaxed and children are welcome in restaurants day or night.

Very Nice place/house/villa, nevertheless a little distant from the Beach (About 20/25 Minutes by foot) if you what to avoid using yr Car.
The swimming pool only opens from 12pm to 15pm and then from 16:30pm till 21pm.
Ideal family holiday
We stayed at the end of August and found the accommodation to be ideal, the house was really clean and had everything you could need when away with a family including beach chairs and toys, also a beautiful patio area overlooking the golf course for BBQs at home There is a pool and tennis courts on site which were well maintained and used every day by the children. There is a good range of shops and restaurants in Islantilla and we found the locals to be very friendly, there is a good café within walking distance which is very reasonable. Prices for food were generally less than we had expected which made eating out not such a strain on the purse. The nearby beaches are long and sandy with a couple of bars to get the essential ice cream/drink..
Hi Helen, thanks for the review, we're so please enjoyed your stay, best wishes, Nicky
We stayed 9 nights and wish we had stayed more. Nicky made the transaction so easy to do and kept us fully informed from the moment of enquiry until we visited the villa. The villa was exactly as described on the website. It is beautifully maintained and the complex is wonderful. There is everything you could possible need at the villa and it made our holiday so easy. It backs onto the golf course so there are really good views and yet it is just a simple 15 minute walk to the beach. We had older teenagers with us and there are so many things to do in the area that it is was possible to keep all members of the family happy. I would thoroughly recommend this and we hope to return one day.
Hi Beverley and family, we're so pleased you enjoyed your stay and would be delighted to see you again in the future. Very best wishes, Nicky.
First Class family holiday accommodation
This year was the 3rd visit we have made to this property with our young family, and their grandparents. A lovely well maintained safe and peaceful setting, perfect for the children. The small garden is perfect for evening BBQs so there is no need to eat out every night. The facilities at the property are great including a number of DVDs, toys and games for the children. The pool, tennis courts and playground on the complex are also clean and well maintained. There is a friendly cafe/bar opposite the complex or the more upmarket golf hotel at the top of the road and is only a short walk to the seafront. My 5year old boys have loved it everytime and always want to go back. The location is close to Portugal and a number of water parks and also within driving distance of Seville. The beaches are clean and flat and have small play areas on them. I would recommend this property - definitely good value for money.
Excellent place for family holiday with kids with a lots of things to do within the complex and in the area for both adults and children. The collection of toys, games, beach chairs in the house is amazing. The booking and the guests meeting process is smooth and hassle free. Many thanks!
Hi Ekaterina, I'm so pleased you all enjoyed your holiday and liked the house and area. Hope to see you again. Nicky
The Costa de la Luz is famous for its unspoilt coastline and sandy beaches which stretch for miles along the coast and are backed by dunes and beach restaurants. La Antilla and Islantilla beach both have a good selection of restaurants, bars, shops and cafes. Numerous other beaches are within 10 minutes drive.
Faro is the nearest airport, just under 1 hour drive along good dual carriageway; Seville, an hour and a half by car, is an alternative and a good way to combine your trip with a city break. Go to the Flight mapping site to find out who flies to Faro. Transfers can be arranged although we would recommend car hire and can provide details of a reliable and reasonably priced car hire company at Faro.
Nearest beach and restaurants 10 mins walk. Mini golf 10 minutes walk. Golf Club 10 minutes walk.
By car: El Terron 5 minutes. Lepe 10 minutes. Isla Cristina 15 minutes. Aquopolis Water Park 30 minutes. Portuguese Algarve 30 mins. Huelva, capital of the province, 40 mins. Faro Airport 1 hour. Seville centre, 1 hour 15 mins. Seville Airport 1.5 hours.
There are lots of opportunities for sightseeing and culture in the area including the local town of Lepe with it's annual Romeria in the spring. Visit nearby El Terron for seafood and boat trips or Isla Cristina for it's beaches, squares and sunsets. The fishing village of El Rompido is a must for lunch or dinner right on the beach front. Ayamonte, the scenic border town, is 20 mins drive away and from here you can take a 10 min boat ride across the river to Villa Real in Portugal. Visit Seville for Semana Santa or the April Horse Fair to see Andalucian tradition in it's full glory or visit anytime for flamenco, tapas and sightseeing. It's easy to visit for a day trip and best in the Spring or Autumn when the weather is cooler. El Rocio, Coto Donana National Park, the Aracena Caves or crossing the border to Portugal's Algarve area also make great trips. Further afield are visits to Cadiz, Jerez, Cordoba and Granada.
