Our beautiful 3 bedroom villa is set in an acre of land boasting olive, fig, hazelnut, chestnut and an abundance of fruit trees. The villa is in the quiet and secluded district of Lamacoppa, just 3kms from the picturesque hillside town of Ostuni, known locally as the ‘White City’. A selection of beaches are only 15kms away. The villa offers a good level of comfort for up to 6 people whilst retaining the charm and rustic features typical of the area. Outside there is a roof terrace, a covered veranda ideal for eating al-fresco style, a family sized BBQ and a traditional working pizza oven with a further outdoor table and chairs seating 6. The villa has air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and heating throughout. Set in-front of the villa is a 12m x 6m luxury swimming pool with jacuzzi, diving board, poolside bar and shade sail area.

About Steve Moody
Villa Gemelli is owned by myself, Steve Moody, and my wife Jackie. We have twins of 17, Louis and Scarlett, and the villa is named after them, Gemelli is Italian for twins. Jackie and myself run our own finance business in Ringwood, Hampshire and bought Villa Gemelli in 2004.
Steve Moody purchased this Villa in 2004
Why Steve Moody chose Ostuni
We picked the location as we wanted somewhere peaceful and tranquil that we could go and chill out, to get away from our very busy life in the UK. We find this each time we stay at the villa but also have the convenience of only being a 5 minute drive from Ostuni and a 20 minute drive from a wide range of beaches. Ostuni, known as the White City, has a vast range of restaurants, bars and shops and in our opinion is still 'real' Italy. The area is still relatively unspoilt by tourism, unlike Northern Italian cities.
What makes this Villa unique
The main benefits, other than the location and the weather, are the private 12m x 6m pool, poolside bar, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, a fantastic wood burning pizza oven, a Turkish steam shower and a very well equipped kitchen.

The villa is thaughtfully stocked with everything that you need and outside is a real Gem!
I would highly recommend this gorgeous gem of a villa. So beautiful and peaceful, so much to do with the pool, table tennis table and incredible garden. The Villa is a charming place with everything you need and more! The only problem is that we have to come home! If you book this place you will have a wonderful time.
Beautiful villa in a fantastic location, loved the large pool and poolside bar!
We spent a week at Villa Gemelli in June and had some beautiful weather. We made full use of the pool, bar, BBQ and pizza oven. The air conditioning was very welcome in the evenings. We will definitely be back.
Special interest holidays:
Both walking and cycling tours are available locally, as are traditional Puglian cookery classes.
Villa Gemelli is located near to many beaches, some with bars and facilities, others with nothing but warm sea and sand. The nearest beach is a 15-20 min drive. It is important to understand that this side of Italy’s coast line offers both small coves and bays as well as long stretches of beach.
The two nearest airports are Brindisi, a 30 minute drive and Bari, a 75 min drive. We would recommend hiring a car for your stay as the nearest town, Ostuni, is only 3kms away but is a good 60 min walk.
The stunning town of Ostuni is 3kms away and sits like a white beacon on 3 hills east of Martina Franca. The seemingly disordered tangle of narrow cobblestone streets recalls a North African Arab medina, an ideal place to get agreeably lost. There are a plethora of restaurants and bars just off the Piazza della Liberta, heading upwards towards the Sombre brown stone of the 15th century Gothic Cathedral.
Puglia or Apullia as it is sometimes known, is the heel of Italy's boot and is bordered by two seas, the Adriatic to the East and the Ionian to the South. Italy's deep south is little known to foreign visitors but those that do visit are regarded with an unforgettable experience. Uplifting natural beauty and a near tropical sea combine with the strange conical-roofed stone houses, the Trulli, unique to Puglia. The region is a food and wine-lover's paradise, no matter how hard you try; it is difficult to eat badly. A proportion of Italy's fish is caught off the Puglian coast and locally grown fruit and vegetables can be found on many a street corner. In addition Puglia has 23 D.O.C. wine regions, the best know being Salice Salentino. Puglia is something authentic and extremely Italian. It is a land of an unbelievable variety of colours. Here you will find rich red earth, tall dark green pine forests, silvery green olive groves and bright green scattered vineyards; glowing white towns, grey natural Baroque churches and ancient castles and buildings. The average daytime temperatures in July/August are about 32 degrees and a little less in June and September. With two seas around three sides of the area, the air does not feel too oppressive during the summer months. With sunshine for most of the year and olive groves which stretch along a beautiful coastline, it boasts one of the cleanest seas in Europe. Italians have long made it their favoured holiday destination and now with more cheap flights from the U.K. it is rapidly becoming a hot destination for gourmet travellers who are looking for something different to the better known holiday destinations. Visit oil and wine making Fattorias, see beautiful Greco-Roman cities and mysterious ancient Trulli. Enjoy wonderful local cuisine and rich strong wines which are becoming known throughout Europe.
