Apartment in Altea, Costa Blanca - Peaceful Location, Small Secure Complex

The property was built in 2004, Their is a lovely view of the shared pool from the kitchen window, also a children's pool. There are 3 restaurants close by, one supermarket and a tapas bar. Benidorm is a 15 minute drive away, with it's nightlife, golf course and beautiful beaches. Altea is a very old Spanish fishing town with lots of restaurants in the old town and the seafront. The property has 1 bedroom with fitted wardrobe and small balcony and a sofabed in the lounge.

A fitted kitchen with washing machine fridge/freezer microwave, oven and hob.There is a large bathroom. Also a spacious balcony for dining.

The property is jointly owned by Val and Keith who live in the UK and Jimmy who lives in Spain. This works well as Jimmy is usually only a phone call away if our guests should want to ask anything.

Why V Sanderson chose La Nucia

Altea is a very pretty coastal resort and just a 15 min walk from Albir which we love. We bought the property to use ourselves and also to share with family friends and guests. It is convenient for visiting lots of places along the Costa Blanca. It's peaceful with Benidorm in the distance should you want more lively nightlife.

For these reasons, it is ideally placed.

What makes this apartment unique

When at the property we enjoy the peace and quiet, we have made friends with other people in the area, The views of the mountains are lovely and change throughout the day. We also love the tapas bar just a few mins. walk up the road, It's lovely to sit there and enjoy the food whilst looking at the scenery. A steady stroll back to the apartment for a siesta is great.

The nightlife can be as peaceful or as noisy as you like. The lights of Benidorm may attract you, if not Altea has lovely intimate restaurants, especially in the atmospheric old town. We love a stroll along the seafront after a meal. You can be spoilt for choice.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is first floor and is suitable for children. Airport service is available at extra cost. Basic welcome pack on arrival. Shopping pack if requested at extra cost. A car is advisable. Outside: The shared pool is approx. 20 x 40m plus children's pool and shower facilities. Well maintained gardens with seating area. Open all years round. A car would be an advantage, as their is much to see on the Northern Costa Blanca without travelling great distances. The apartment has its own secure parking space. Towels and bedding are provided, please bring your own pool and beach towels.

Fantastic hosts

We arrived quite late as our flight was delayed and where greeted without fuss. The Apartment was very clean with all the required items for our stay . I would have liked Wifi but I believe it is on the cards. Many Thanks for a great holiday and the MILK you brought to welcome us when all the shops where shut . Truly GREAT service.

Die schmutzigste Ferienwohnung, die wir jemals hatten / The dirtiest apartment we've ever had

Die Wohnung war eine große Entäuschung. Nichts war sauber. Der Wasserhahn im Bad war noch mit Speichel und Zahnpasta verschmutzt. Am Herd waren Reste von Reis und Nudeln. Auf der Arbeitsplatte lagen Krümel und es waren Tropfspuren von Wachs und Speisen zu finden. Die Küchenrückwand über dem Herd und die Küchenschränke fühlten sich überall klebrig an. Das Geschirr im Schrank war nicht richtig sauber und Speisereste klebten an den Tellern. Ein benutztes Glas stand klebrig im Schrank. Töpfe und Pfannen waren nicht zu gebrauchen, wurden aber wenigstens ersetzt. Das schmutziges Geschirr, das vom Verwalter zur Reinigung mitgenommen wurde, hat man uns nicht zurück gebracht. Somit fehlten uns verschiedene Dinge wie z.B. ein Salatsieb. Die Kaffeemaschine war so klebrig, dass wir auf einen Gebrauch verzichtet haben. Kaffepulver, das man uns zur Begrüßung gegeben hatte, war eine nette Geste aber unbrauchbar.

Der Boden in der Wohnung war nicht gründlich sauber und in allen Ecken und unter dem Bett lagen Staub und Haare.

Handtücher wurden auch nicht gewechselt, was man bei einem 2 wöchigen Aufenthalt erwarten kann.

Positiv ist nur die gepflegte Außenanlage zu erwähnen.

The apartment was a great disappointment. Nothing was clean. The faucet in the bathroom was still dirty with saliva and toothpaste. There were leftovers of rice and noodles on the stove. On the worktop were crumbs and traces of dripping wax and food. The kitchen back wall above the stove and the cupboards felt sticky everywhere. The dishes in the cupboard were not really clean and leftovers were stuck to the plates. A used glass stood sticky in the cupboard. Pots and pans were useless, but at least they were replaced. The dirty dishes that the steward took with him for cleaning were not brought back to us. So we lacked different things like a salad strainer. The coffee machine was so sticky that we decided not to use it. Coffee powder, which was given to us as a greeting, was a nice gesture but useless.

The floor in the apartment was not thoroughly clean and in all corners and under the bed lay dust and hair.

Towels were also not changed, which can be expected during a 2 week stay.

Only the well-kept outdoor facilities deserve a positive mention.

Owner's Response: With regards to the above comments, we have taken on board all that has been written and this has also been passed to the necessary people with whom we have had no previous issues. Extra bed linen was left for the second week but not used, along with extra towels. We note also that we have a broken shower fitting. Our past reviews hopefully go some way to our commitment to the apartment. However any problems our guests feel they have will always be addessed.

Calpe's lovely beach is 15 mins away. The rocky headland is a nature reserve and the views are fabulous. Altea beach is a few mins away by car. With a lovely old fishing harbour. Lots of lovely places to eat, especially in the old town. Go back in time and spend a few hours in this beautiful place, look down over the brilliant blue sea. Benidorm has two long sandy beaches 15 mins away. Albir, 5 mins away has a lovely beach with sunbeds.


Alicante aitport is 43 kilometres away. There is a bus goes between Benidorm and Alicante airport at regular times. Also a bus goes from Altea front to Benidorm.


Nearest town is Altea which is 3 kilometres away.

Albir with its lovely beach is next to Altea, about a 15 mins walk.

Calpe is 15 mins. by car or bus.

Benidorm is 15 mins by car.

Further Details:

Restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Banks and chemist are in Altea. Visit the lovely old town of Altea with its whitewashed houses, galleries and gift shops. Stop off for morning coffee or even a meal. Lots of places to choose from with secluded balconies and cosy dining areas.

Fifteen mins. away are the fabulous water parks, including the most recent Terra Natura-Natural History Park. Fonts de Algar waterfalls are 5 mins. by car and well worth a visit, very pretty, take your swimwear or just have a picnic.
