This is a modern, attractive, single storey, three-bedroom villa about 2 km from the sea near the main village. It has its own pool with underwater lighting and terrace area. The pleasant garden has olive trees, various flowers and a selection of young fruit trees. There is a traditional barbecue ideal for cooking authentic Cypriot dishes. From the main door you look to the hills of Paphos forest. The veranda and pool faces the sea, with breathtaking views over fields and pine trees. Some very quiet beaches are within a short distance. There is a tiled roof terrace with stunning views of the hills to the back and a 120 degree view of the Mediterranean sea the other way. The nearest taverna to the villa is Liza’s Place - a 2 minute drive away. You are sure to receive a warm welcome, and typical Cypriot hospitality.

About Rosalind Blackwell
I am a professional English woman and live in Somerset but am increasingly spending more time in Cyprus. I have been travelling to Cyprus for many years and have loved it since my first visit many years ago. It has a certain magic for me that has never gone away. The sound of bouzouki music still stirs my heart; it is the Greekness of it that I really love. The warmth and hospitality of the people is legendary and this is what makes the place special.
Rosalind Blackwell purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Rosalind Blackwell chose Argaka
It was my dream to buy some land and have a house in the Polis area which is still authentic and full of citrus groves. The scent of orange blossom is heady in the summer and in this part of Cyprus it is always green. I realised this dream in 2003 and Villa Rosa is the result. My village is only a 45 minute drive from Paphos airport on an easy road. There are lots of interesting places within easy reach and the scenery is stunning all around Polis bay.
What makes this Villa unique
The village shop is very near to my house. The big supermarket in Polis is great for a big shop. There are several good tavernas within a short distance and there is always a warm welcome. At the back of my house lies the forest and one can have lovely walks through the pine trees and I love to see the wild herbs growing there. It is so peaceful. One can drive right through on an easy track and enjoy the views along the way. It is good to take a picnic in the summer. I particularly like treating myself to some spa treatments at nearby Miliou village where there is a fabulous converted monastery. For a special treat try champagne cocktails at the Anassa hotel watching the sunset, for a budget version try my roof terrace with the coloured lights switched on in the pool below!

Best house we ever had
Very nice and clean house, Really nice big Pool. The house looks much better then the pictures on the website. Close by a supermarket and a bakery with very good bread. A car is recommended.
We are a family off 7. All our Kids didnt want to leave the house that says enough for us.
Thnx to Chris for everything.
Regards Visser family from Holland.
No welcome pack, flyscreens or overhead fans, toilet flush broken. Builders redoing pool so noisy from early morning onwards everyday! This villa is next to mine which I booked through neighbour some 18 months ago for family wedding party with or without pool as pool out of action for approx two years. We had to chase to find out cost as had agreed booking but never answered that question. At last minute told builders would be working on pool regardless of my booking! No choice but to go ahead with booking, which included a 13 year old and six year old so not in the least bit happy with neighbour; nor was the head of the project when he realised my family were staying there. Even more despicable as my husband and I have helped out with many problems at the villa over the last 12 years. We also tried to stop the local teenagers from vandaliasing her villa. Local teenagers joyride around at night. We thought owner was a friend!
Room for improvement
We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks and whilst in a nice location we felt that the property needed at lot of TLC.
I think that the villa was probably built around 2005 if not before and was certainly showing signs of ageing.
The barbecue should have been condemned to the museum in Steni, that's how old it looked. Also, one parasol was unusable as was one table and the other parasol blew over one day whilst we were there and a 6" piece of the rusted tubing broke off and I had to repair it.
The air conditioning unit in the living room didn't work sufficiently considering that it was a constant 35-37 degrees outside. The property was charging approx ?250 more than a similar property close by that we had stayed at before, unfortunately that one wasn't available this time.
The nearest beach is at the bottom of the hill in the village. It is 2 minutes by car. The beach has stony and sandy areas. Driving along the coast road a short distance to Demitris Taverna there is a sandy stretch where one can enjoy the beach and facilities. Another popular beach is 10 minutes drive away near Latchi at Yiannakis beach by Aphrodite hotel.
The nearest airport is Paphos which is a 45 minute drive. Car hire is essential. Arrangements can be made to be met at the airport and driven to the villa and back to the airport if required; this is included in the price of the hire car by the local company we recommend.
The other airport on the island is Larnaca, which is a 2 hour (motorway) drive to Paphos.
The nearest town is Polis which is 8km away. The village of Latchi is 10km away, with its fish restaurants and marina. The conservation area of Akamas peninsula begins on the road from Latchi to the baths of Aphrodite.
Paphos is 40km, Troodos 87km, Limassol 98km, Larnaca 164km, and Nicosia is 179km away. Ayia Napa is 204km away - thankfully!
The golf course at Tsada is 30km away.
Walking distance from the house is a village shop selling groceries. At the bottom of the hill by the sea is a kiosk, selling snacks, drinks and some groceries. The nearest supermarkets are in Polis.
There are a selection of tavernas and bars within a short drive. Polis has a greater selection of bars and restaurants as does Latchi.
The banks are located in Polis, most of which have ATMs.
