Villa in Kisla, just above Villa Mahal hotel - short walk Supermarket. Near Sea And Beach Club
This is a brief summary of Gary and Jo Jess! We thought you might like to know a bit about us. We are a 'young middle aged' couple, married for 30 yrs. Jo works as a specific learning difficulties teacher in a boy's prep school. Gary, has a 4x4 business. We have 2 all grown up children (who also adore Villa Lydia). We live on a farm in a small village in Hertfordshire. We are used to a fairly tranquil environment hence our choice of villa location in Kalkan. As for our interests and tastes; we like nature, plants and the natural environment. With this in mind we have furnished Villa Lydia with lots of wood and neutral colour schemes. We hope you will approve.
Joanna purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Joanna chose Kalkan
Kisla, is an area of Kalkan just to it's east. Though the main town is very accessible, Kisla is just a little bit quieter than 'down town'. Kisla comprises mostly of private villas. There are no noisy, late night bars/clubs on the doorstep. There is a very well stocked mini-supermarket just a 2 min walk away (will change currency at a very good rate too). The resort Patara Prince is also in Kisla with it's spas, restaurants and sports facilites available to use (booking is required in high season). The gem on Kisla is the Villa Mahal boutique hotel. This is just a few minutes (steep) walk away and a wonderful place to spend a day, or evening for dinner, right upon the Med. All that said, you really don't need to venture from our poolside or windows to enjoy the most spectacular views.
What makes this Villa unique

Good family villa in great location
The villa was spacious and clean. The property manager was incredibly helpful and always available. The pool is very private and the location is great - walking distance from the beautiful Mahal beach club. Away from the hustle and bustle of Kalkan town Kisla is within walking distance of the old town and taxis are always available night and day and cost only a few pounds. Kalkan is a really fun place to stay!
Thank you Amanda, we are delighted that you enjoyed Villa Lydia
Beautiful well situated Villa
Lovely Villa, well equipped, and even some basic supplies for the weary travelers

Absoutley loved our stay at villia Lydia ,will definitely recommend to family and freinds .excellent communication with joanne and very helpful.
Thank you Rufat, so glad Villa Lydia lived up to expectation!
Everything you want from a holiday villa
The villa was just about perfect for my family (2 adults, 3 kids (age 11, 12, 14)). It was bigger than expected and we did not even use the whole basement which is big enough for 2/3 on its own! The owner, Jo, was very helpful throughout the booking and stay period assisting us in all matters. The whole stay was very smooth including the car hire that was arranged via Jo too.
Kalkan is a beautiful place and the views from the villa especially when waking in the morning are exceptional. The villa itself is well equipped and we did not spend too much time away from it (the mini-mart 5 minutes walk away keeping us away from the main town!). The nearest beaches were only 10 minutes walk away via the steep staircases, once you've found them.
Two areas that were especially good, and ones that I have struggled with at other villas in Turkey, were that water pressure to the showers was good and secondly, (the icing on the cake for my kids) was the unlimited WIFI (that actually worked) in the villa. It was a godsend for the kids when the heat and pool got too much and they just wanted to chill out indoors.
All-in-all a great place and one I would recommend to all.
Excellent location and very helpful owner
Kalkan is a beautiful place to visit, an abundance of restaurants and bars , villa is located in a lovely and quiet place, surrounded by lovely villas
This villa is very clean and spacious and has all the essential requirements for a family of 7 , more could have stayed , the basement accommodation was an added bonus for my daughter and her twins giving her a private area
The pool is fabulous and well maintained
200 steps took us down to the nearest beach club which was lovely although not suitable for 4yr olds but great for children 10 and over ,however we found another beach club about 20 min walk away which was excellent for young children with very hospitable staff
The river taxi was great only cost 5L to get to Kalkan and went every 20-30 min
The best supermarket we found which was in fact the nearest to the villa was Carrefore Express bit like shopping in a Tesco Local but slightly larger
We hired a car during our stay as arranged locally by Jo , having hired cars for years at all the villas we have stayed in this one was definitely the easiest ! We had a transfer from the airport ... very comfortable an the same company then bought the hire car to the villa ,so refreshing not to have to pay a huge security deposit
Thank you Jo for an easy and lovely holiday
Ruth - thank you so much for your review. We are always confident that our guests will have a lovely time but it is very nice to hear it.
Perhaps we will hear from you again.
