Wonderful property with breathtakingly views in superb village
Lovely spacious village house extremely clean and comfortable with true Andalucian character. Great restaurants and bars serving excellent food within a few minutes stroll. Very beautiful and friendly village. Would highly recommend for those seeking the real Spain away from the Cost as.
Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased you enjoyed the house and all the village has to offer. It was the beauty of the Village and its stunning location that first drew to the area, but the friendliness of the villagers and range of facilities available within walking distance of the house made buying in Gaucin an easy choice. We hope to welcome you again if you return to the area. Kind regards
Jennie and Mark
lovely traditional spanish house in a fantastic location.
We have recently returned from this lovely house in Gaucin and would recommend it, very well situated in the village with wonderful views from the roof terrace.
We had a very relaxing week, enjoyed reading several books from the great selection on the first floor, there are lots of little bars and restaurants very close by and we enjoyed eating out at Azulete in the square and el at'ico just along from the house.
The house has four floors and lots of character, our favourite floor was the top floor on which we spent many an evening enjoying a glass of wine enjoying the view and listening to the swallows and swifts as they swooped and dived across the terrace.
Our least favourite part of the house was the basement which is where we slept, it was very clean and had a great bathroom and was very cool however it had a damp/ musty smell and on the first night I actually thought the bed was damp (it was not) The room improved as the week went on, we continually left the windows open and let the air circulate and by the end of the week the smell had gone. Perhaps the house had not been occupied before our stay.
We have stayed many times in the village over the years, always choosing somewhere different to rent and would recommend this property, it is a great base in which to stay and enjoy the beautiful countryside, it is within easy reach of Ronda, the coast and many pueblos blancos.
Thank you so much for your review. I am so pleased you enjoyed a good break. You highlight the very things that we value most about our home, namely, the unassailable views, the gentle pace of life here and the proximity of good places to eat within a few minutes walk. No worries about driving home! On the airing of the lower room, our team was upset to hear it was a problem for you. They are a dedicated bunch and problems are extremely rare. They will ensure this is not an issue going forward.
Kind regards Jennie
Like living in a Hobbit house, just so cute & accommodating.
Thanks for taking time to leave a review. We are so pleased you appreciated the charm of the property and enjoyed your stay like your relatives in previous years. The unusual layout does give the house a unique feel, but it is thankfully not Hobbit sized!! Kindest regards Jennie and Mark
Very welcoming, clean and location was excellent. Well appointed, spacious, homely property, lovely.
Highly recommend for local amenities, clean, homely property ideal for two couples sharing or family. Would definitely go again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a great review. The house is very much a home for us, not just a property for rent and we are so pleased you felt welcomed and at home. The location of the property is one of the things we also love as it is great to have shops and a good range of eating and drinking options within such easy walking distance - this, coupled with the gentler way of life in Gaucin always makes for a great break. We hope to see you again soon. Kind regards Jennie and Mark
Charming village house
Really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mihrab. It is beautifully furnished and well equipped. Lovely views from the top floor terrace. A perfect base in Gaucin.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review. The views and location were the main things that led us to buy the house and they still never disappoint. The village is still very welcoming and authentic even as the great range of restaurants and tapas bars gets better all the time.
This is one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in, fantastic.
Jenny and Mark's house is lovely. It exceeded all expectations. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and has many personal touches which make it feel like a loved home rather than a rented house. The decor was very tasteful and the Moroccan touches lovely. The views from the 2 terraces are spectacular and the top floor, the living room, is wonderfully light; we ate all our meals here. The kitchen is really well equipped and is another lovely, spacious room. The large shower on the ground floor is just great! One thing to note: This house might not be suitable for very young children as it is spread over 4 floors and the stairs between floors have no handrails - you soon get used to the open stairs though.
The house is well located in Gaucin, a large village with numerous bars offering a good choice of outdoor eating. There are some lovely walks from the village and the surrounding area is mountainous and spectacular. We would love to return in late spring when the flowers will be at their best; this is a good area to be based if you are a keen bird watcher.
Jenny was very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions promptly. Brett met us when we arrived and was really helpful, as well as a font of local knowledge.
We couldn't recommend this property more highly. It was a privilege to stay here and we look forward to returning. Pam Bury
Dear Pam, thanks so much for your amazing review. We have tried to create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and are very glad you enjoyed that. Best Wishes Jennie and Mark
