Villa due Cipressi has two apartments for rent, one for 6 the other for 2 or 4. A third apartment is occupied by the owners. The Villa is situated in a superb position with magnificent views to the nearby town of Trevi, which can be reached by foot in only ten minutes. Trevi has an unspoilt charm and offers several very good restaurants, a pizzeria, bars and shops. The beautifully restored Villa lies in a semi-fortified estate just outside the city walls. Below the house, reached by an ancient, arched stone staircase, is the secluded garden which has a large salt water swimming pool (12m x 6m). Both apartments have private terraces with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. The apartments are spacious, light and furnished in a modern style.

Perfect location in a gorgeous property
Our family of five absolutely adored our week in Trevi staying in the three bedroom apartment. To be able to walk into a beautiful village (Trevi) for a coffee, wine or dinner without hoards of tourists but also have access to a gorgeous pool and spacious self catering accomodation is rare. The pool, garden and views are stunning and we enjoyed sharing it with Fiona/Richard and another delightful family staying at the property. The three bedroom apartment is comfortable and functional and we ate on the verandah whenever we were home (this verandah does not have the amazing view but it is shaded and cool in the afternoon and lovely to sit out for all meals). There were mosquitoes however we managed it with spray and repellent coils so we could still enjoy fresh air and the most amazing view from the windows inside the apartment. Richard and Fiona are wonderful hosts and very generous sharing their knowledge of restaurants and places to visit.
The location is also ideal to easily visit Assisi, Montefalco (wineries), Spello (recommend the Roman aqueduct walk and Villa of Mosaics) and much more. Our only regret was that we didn't book for at least 2-3 weeks as Umbria has so much to offer and is great value as well. We would happily return and hopefully will in the near future.
Many thanks for your positive review. Yes, this summer has been both hot and on occasions wet so that the mosquitoes have been somewhat troubling.
We are very pleased that this did not effect your stay.
We look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
Very best wishes.
Hidden gem in Umbria
Perfect location as home base, stunning views and gorgeous property. Fiona and Richard went above and beyond to take care of our family.
Thanks Ryan for the positive comments. We are really pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay. Have a good onward journey. Fiona
Beautiful Villa in Trevi
We loved our house in Trevi! Beautiful views, within walking distance to town. Great cafe and restaurants! Location great for visiting other hill towns. Our hosts Roger and Sara were wonderful and very helpful!! Would stay there again for sure!! Thank you! Penny and greg Frisch
Wonderful property, great location, super hosts
We cant recall how we got lucky enough to find this wonderful place, but are just thankful - we didn't want to leave !
The apartment was spacious, nicely furnished, and surprisingly well equipped with cooking kit and gear. Everything throughout was super clean, high quality and comfortable.
The town of Trevi is really nice for a wander round, ice cream or lunch/dinner, and you can walk there in 10 minutes, and see it from the windows. Plus stunning views across the valley for maybe 10 miles. Lovely big warm pool, a suntrap till dusk.
Our hosts Fiona & Richard were there to welcome us and were often about if needed, but not at all intrusive, we were able to almost call it our home.
If your'e going out of season, there's a lovely big fireplace, radiators and new windows.
Its no wonder they are stacked out with bookings, this place is a gem. We'll be back !
Italy in October
We had not stayed in this part of Italy before but received a warm welcome and had a fantastic stay
Trevi is a delightful small hill town. We arrived in the middle of their annual celebration of the celery crop. Had not appreciated that there were so many ways to eat celery but all great fun
The apartment has wonderful views of the town which is a short walk up a steepish hill
The mountain scenery half an hours drive to the south east is breathtaking.
Bevangna a few miles to the west is a perfect little town with an excellent fish restaurant
Great Villa in a lovely part of Italy
We really enjoyed our stay here, fabulous location, stunning views and a great pool.
Thanks. Great to know you enjoyed your holiday.
Closest beaches are on the Adriatic coast, approximately an hour and a half drive away. We suggest Numana or Sirolo as the cleanest and prettiest.
Nearest airport is Perugia (30 mins by car).
Ancona (Ryanair) 1 hour 45 mins by car / train.
Rome Ciampino (Ryanair EasyJet) 2 hours by car.
Rome Fiumicino (Many airlines) 2 and a half hours.
Trevi is on the main Rome -Ancona line and trains are regular and very economical; about an hour and a half to Rome, two and a half hours to Florence.
Car hire is recommended but not essential.
Trevi is 5 minutes away by car (10 minutes on foot), Montefalco, Foligno and Spoleto 15 mins by car.
Assisi and Spoleto are 20 mins drive away. Perugia 45 mins, Todi and Gubbio 1 hour and Orvieto 90 mins; Rome is 2 hours and Florence 2 and a half hours away by car.
There are tennis and riding facilities close by and in the valley below is a twenty mile cycle route (from Spoleto to Assisi). There are all amenities in Trevi, however there is a large shopping centre ten minutes drive away. The closest large town is Foligno (11kms away) with great clothes shops. Local restaurants serve exceptionally good traditional fare, using the outstanding olive oil, truffles, celery and wild boar from the area. The wines from Montefalco are highly prized and the famous Sagrantino is unique to the region. There are fabulous walks in the mountains behind Trevi and through the neighbouring Valnerina, where rafting is also on offer.
