The villa is fitted to a high standard, with marble floors throughout, no expense has been spared to create a welcoming and comfortable base from which to enjoy a great holiday. The villas location provides panoramic sea-views from its large roof terrace, across to Fuerteventura. The roof terrace provides private sunbathing and also makes an ideal location from which to enjoy a long drink and watch the sunset. The villa has spacious terraces with a choice of covered dining areas and ample outdoor seating, adjacent to the private heated pool. The large built in BBQ provides a great opportunity for dining al-fresco on the sunny south facing terrace, the pool remains in direct sunlight all day. The villa has a large well planted garden and enjoys views, past the lighthouse, towards Fuerteventura. The villa is a short walk to spectacular rugged coastline, there is a good range of local shops (5 mins walk), including two supermarkets, several bars/restaurants and a small bakery. About Karen Humphreys
Our names are Karen and Nigel Humphreys were live in the UK in North Staffordshire. We have owned our villa since 2004 and I visit it regularly thereby ensuring that the quality of its presentation is maintained. We are fortunate that the villa is serviced by people who live locally to it and they are always available if any issues arise.

Why Karen Humphreys chose Yaiza
We had been looking to buy a property in the Canary Islands for a number of years as it is a destination where we have taken many holidays. We looked at property on a number of the islands but were finally drawn to Lanazarote as we like the low key style of the island and appreciate the respect with which development has been controlled - particularly with regard to no roadside advertising which appears to now blight a number of other destinations. We especially like the area where the villa is located as it is on the quiet outskirts of Playa Blanca, but the centre is within a easy reach. We like to walk along the coastal promenade into town and enjoy the views across to Fuertaventura and inland with its backdrop of volcanoes.
What makes this Villa unique
Our villa - Casa de Luz - benefits from its proximity to the coast and we enjoy a panoramic view from the upstairs terrace, where many hours are spent enjoying a long drink and watching the sunset. We appreciate its quiet setting and well planted garden. The garden has been a particular passion and has taken effort to establish from a blank canvas -it is now beginning to mature and provides an oasis style surrounding to the villa & pool. The villa provides comfortable outdoor and enclosed dining areas which can be separately enjoyed at different times of day. Overall the villa is a very comfortable base from which to enjoy your holiday and we have many visitors who now return annually, who appreciate its setting but allows easy access to the central resort area.

Excellent villa and location
Villa superb - very well appointed, lovely comfy beds, spotlessly clean. Pool great and garden beautiful. Good shops, cafes and restaurants nearby, easy to get everywhere on the island. We had a fantastic time. Had no idea Lanzarote landscape was so dramatic and all the Manrique locations blew us away. Would happily return.

We regularly stay in Playa Blanca. This home is superb. All details of the house are incredibly accurate . There are no silly rules Just common sense required re noise etc. We absolutely loved it

The perfect villa!
We have just returned from spending a week at this villa and I have to say that it is the nicest place we have stayed in. We have visited Lanzarote 9 times now and this villa is in a lovely very quiet and private position, it's close to the promenade and easy enough to get into town or the beach (by car or 20 min walk) and is the most well equipped villa we have stayed in.
It may seem out of the way but there are two small supermarkets you can walk to (5 mins at the most) and a handful of restaurants with really freindly staff. The main town is a quick 5 min drive or a very pleasant 20 min walk down the promenade.
The layout of the villa is great, it's spacious, light and airy and has the most wonderful roof terrace with beautiful sea views, looking right across to Fuerteventura.
I can't fault this villa - we will be back! Soon, I hope!
Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage mit Blick nach Fuerteventura und zum Sonnenuntergang. Es ist gemütlich und stimmungsvoll eingerichtet, besitzt eine persönliche und warme Atmosphäre. Dazu kommt ein sehr schön angelegter Palmen- und Kakteengarten. Ruhe und Entspannung sind garantiert. Kurz gesagt: Wohlfühlcharakter!

Scuba Diving centre 5 minute drive.
Rugged coastline and paved coastal path 2 mins walk. It is possible to walk into Playa Blanca along the coastal path, which is paved and suitable for pushchairs, a slow walk takes about 45 mins. It offers plenty of opportunity to stop for refreshment and the views can make the walk take alot longer!
Nearest beach 5 mins drive, famous Papagayo beaches 10 mins.
Playa Blanca has a number of small cove like beaches within the resort area which are ideal for children.
Arrecife Airport 30 mins. Car hire recommended for easy access to main resort and supermarkets. Local car hire charges are reasonable.
Centre of Playa Blanca 3km or 5 min drive.
Playa Blanca is a relaxed family resort and now has a new multi million pound marina. There is relaxed traffic free shopping in the pedestrianised high street, behind the sea front restaurants. There is a small range of local shops and restaurants within 2 mins walk of the villa, including a Bakery & Supermarket. There is a choice of supermarkets within the main resort.

Booking Notes: A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking with the remaining 75% becoming due 6 weeks prior to the holiday commencing. Booking Restrictions:- No stag/hen party groups. No smoking inside the villa - although ample outdoor covered areas are available. Changeover Day: Changeover day is flexible. Arrive after 2pm and depart by 10am unless prior agreement. Notes on prices: Standard Listed prices,on rates table, are for two people - please add £50 per week, per additional person, children under two are free of charge.
