Why Margaret Wilson chose Sóller
This is a very comfortable house, usually with cool breezes across the terrace in the summer, and fireside sofas where you can read or watch tv in the cooler weather. The bedroom is the original casita (or small house) with a 2m x 2m bed on a sandstone base. The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen was added some time ago. We made the beams by hand using a mould and table loaned by a friend's father. Recycled doors and windows were sourced from friends and neighbours and walls were constructed around them! That history is a story for another day....
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the terrace view to Soller from early morning right through to night time, when the village lights shine. Figs, grapes, oranges, lemons, pears, apricots and apples are some of the seasonal fruit you are welcome to enjoy - help yourself! There's plenty of off street parking among the lemon trees, views from the path to the house, and privacy once you arrive. We recommend a small car as some of Soller's charming streets and our shared driveway are a bit narrow. Free wifi, TV, books, maps - everything to make your stay relaxing. It's a pleasant stroll in to Soller, or to the Port for a swim.

Very relaxing: stunning views in a great location
Sa Vina is a comfortable, beautifully simple stone cottage with exemplary views from a sunny (or shaded as you wish) terrace overlooking Soller and the mountains. A great way to experience traditional Mallorca yet only two miles from the pleasant beach resort of Port de Soller.
We managed to get around without a car (but we like walking) but would recommend a small car. However, easy to walk up into the hills right from the door, for fine walks to coast, nearby villages etc.
Delightful to know that you experienced traditional Mallorca at SaViña, that you swam in November and enjoyed walks to the coast and nearby villages. Thank you for taking time to let us know.
A beautiful casita overlooking Soller. So peaceful and relaxing with magnificent views of the mounta
A well equipped casita, with an amazing patio to bbq and enjoy the real malloca.
Delighted to welcome you back and know that you enjoyed a refreshing drink on the terrace as well as a bbq of fresh fish...on more than one occasion!
Wonderful
Our second visit to this gorgeous property. Sa Vina remains as delightful as ever.
We had fabulous weather, it was just breaking as we left. There is nothing nicer at the end of the day than sitting on the terrace at Sa Vina with a glass of wine and looking out over Soller.
Thank you for making available such a unique property from which to enjoy Mallorca.
Your return to SaViña indicates how much you enjoyed your previous visit - thank you for letting us know. Being familiar with SaViña makes your holiday even more relaxing. Views from the terrace are perfect with a glass of wine at any time of the day!
Amazing little place in a wonderful area
Amazing little place in a wonderful area. Beautiful views, great contact with the host, everything perfect! We'd love to come back.
We'd love you to come back again to enjoy the great views and relax in the sun with a glass of wine - it's been our pleasure - Cheers!
Perfect retreat
We have just had the most wonderful few days staying in Sa Vina. The property was everything and more than we had hoped for. It was spotlessly clean and had everything there to make for a perfect self catering holiday. We lay on the terrace listening to Smooth Jazz reading the ready supply of books in the property and then spent our evenings in Soller or Port de Soller. It was a perfect holiday - we will definitely be back!
Perfect holiday? Certainly seems like it! I'm very happy to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at SaViña, relaxing on the terrace with smooth jazz and books - thank you for writing. Letting us know you will return is a perfect compliment.
The perfect Majorca retreat!!
We arrived at the Sa Vina property very late, and thanks to previous discussions with our host, I was pretty well prepared for the tight driving, and steepish climb up to the Villa. After a stressful day of travel, and some sweat, we made it up to the top patio....and wow, what a view, and what a place!!!
Our 5 day stay was just what the doctor ordered. Soller, and the Port are great places to settle into. Great food down in town, (Luna36 and Sa cuina d'en Marc were excellent). Took the trolley over to Palma for the day and then rode the bus back at night. If you are into tight driving, the mountainside drives are stunning.
As for the property; it really is just a lovely bit of paradise tucked into the hillside on the outskirts of Soller. The only noise you hear are from the neighbours sheep that graze just below you. Lemon and Orange trees were plentiful, and we made good use of the fresh product.
Margaret, was a great host, and provided lots of direction and detail for our stay. She also arranged for some food to be available to us due to our late arrival.
We were very thankful to have found this property, and would love to return one day!
...and we'd love you to return one day! It's great to know, despite your late arrival, that you found the view stunning. Your description of SaViña 'a bit of paradise tucked into the hillside...' is charming - thank you. The oranges, lemons and other fruit are all to be enjoyed - and freshly squeezed orange juice is the best way to start the day.

What previous clients have said: We have just returned home from a lovely sunny Mallorca to a wet and cold UK.We wanted to thank you and let you know that Ian had a lovely time and really enjoyed the place. It is delightful and the views from the terrace are stunning. We have friends whom we are sure would love it too and will recommend it to them.Susie. January 2014 We would like you to know that we've had a wonderful week in your nice casita Sa Vina! The whole casita is furnished and arranged with love and everything you need is there. We liked the Majorcan style with the nice flagging especially in the bathroom and the gorgeous "stone-walled" sleeping-room. We've had a real good time having breakfast in the sun on the terrace (always with your delicious oranges), and having dinner outside with this wonderful view to Sóller (always with delicious fresh lemon-water)! Maybe we can come back some day...we miss it already. Thanks a lot! We will recommend your cottage. Kind regards 04/04/11. We have been meaning to contact you to thank you for the opportunity to stay in beautiful Sa Vina in November. The weather was lovely and we were so happy to have a fire in the cool evenings after enjoying the great walks in the area during the day. 10/11/10. We have had a wonderful 2 weeks in perfect Mallorca weather with temperatures 30ºC+ so thank God for the AC in the bedroom. Sa Vina is a bloody marvel. We felt at home from the first minute.
