4-Season Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8-11), Dock, Canoe
Hi, I am Kyle Rhoads and I usually respond to rental inquiries. The cottage is family-owned with my parents, Cathy and Rich Rhoads, are the caretakers. My wife, Carrie, and my sister, Lynley, and my niece, Emma, often help keep the cottage maintained and cleaned. We are family of educators with my parents both retired educators. I am a Principal of a local elementary school and my sister and wife are both counselors in schools. We love this location for the family memories, the peaceful living and our love for watersports. My Dad loves to fish and often helps renters know where to find the best spots to catch 'the big one' that did not get away!
Kyle purchased this Cottage in 1980
Why Kyle chose Naples
Our family bought the cottage first as a summer place and then as our primary home because we were spending so much time at it! It is no longer our primary home for us but we want to keep the property so future generations of our family can relax and enjoy the summer months on the water in Maine. Because of taxes and the mortgage payments, we rent the cottage so we can keep our 2 cottages owned by our family.
What makes this Cottage unique
I love sitting on the deck or the living room and feel the breeze from the river. You are easily relaxed by the sun rays and warm summer breeze while laying on the dock, sitting by the beach area, or sitting on the deck sipping a cold drink. The grounds have plenty of room to roam and explore. Many guests will set up a volleyball net or a horseshoe pit. Flowers in the gardens bloom throughout the year. The cottage is kid-friendly My young nieces love to play in the water while we watch them from the deck. They, also, love to pick blueberries by the water. If we can get them to wait to eat them, they are delicious with cereal and milk!

Just needed a quiet place to get away for a couple of days. The house was nice, great location. Did some traveling. The best part for me was the fire pit, it’s hard to find one now a days. My stay was in November but I will be back during the next summer to fully enjoy the water.
Loved this cottage
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It had enough room for all of us, it was clean, had everything it said it would have and more. We will be renting it again!
Relaxing by the river
Excellent autumn weekend. Everything that was necessary for a great time...
Awesome property, very convenient to boat ramps and shopping.
The house was super clean and Kyle was a pleasure to work with.
Had a Great Stay!!
Home away from home
What an amazing time my family had during our first trip to Maine! Kyle was fantastic... the cottage was even more impressive in person... it was super clean and there was even an awesome gift bag with little local treasures such as Maine maple syrup and Vintage Maple chips. It was my parents wedding anniversary and Kyle and his sweet little daughter hand delivered fresh picked flowers in a vase! Highly recommend this wonderful rental!
Great Maine camp in a beautiful location!
Right from the beginning Kyle was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in early to enjoy the beautiful weather. He also included some great touches like a welcome pack and a State Park pass. Pictures do not do the water justice; the water is deep and the river is clean and sandy. The sleeping arrangements are comfortable and the cabin doesn’t feel crowded at all. The living room can be a bit crowded if you want to watch TV but let’s face it that’s not why anyone is here. Finally, I can’t get over how large the lawn is with plenty of room for lawn games and a fire. Definitely one of the best camps I’ve had the pleasure of renting. Thanks for the great stay, Kyle!
The location is 3 miles from an 18-hole golf course. The rental of the house allows you free access to the Sebago Lake State Park and Beach. The State Park Beach has a sandy bottom and the entrance to it is 2 miles from the house.
The house is located less than an hour from popular tourist areas such as Portland, Freeport and North Conway! The house is a 30 minute drive to Pleasant Mountain, 45 minute drive to Lost Valley, 45 minute drive to the ocean and an hour drive to Sunday River Mountain. During all four seasons, anglers of all ages fish for such species as landlocked salmon, bass, lake trout, and brook trout. A unique feature of the area is the Songo Locks, one of the last remaining functioning locks to connect two bodies of water in Maine. The house's dock can be used for securing a boat and for swimming. The dock can hold any size boat for use on Sebago Lake.
Other Activities: snowmobiling, snowshoeing, x-country skiing
Golf: Point Sebago Resort is a 5 minute drive from the house.
Ski: Shawnee Peak is an easy 30-40 minute drive.
Oxford Casino is approximately 40 minutes away in Oxford. The full service casino has tables and slots.
Seacoast Fun Park is approximately 15 minute drive from the cottage and has indoor and outdoor activities for young and old.
