Wonderful pool with lots of areas to relax in the shade or sun
We were a large group of adults and children. The villa suited us perfectly. Great beach walking distance. Easy to cook/BBQ at home. The music system was a lovely touch and so was the bar. David was quick to respond, we reported a small issue on our first day and it was rectified within the morning. Would highly recommend
Amazing Villa in beautiful Surroundings!
Hidden away in the orange groves with a mountain backdrop, my family along with two other families had a wonderful time in this well-equipped villa. Very clean with plenty of towels provided. The owner David, and Maria from the agency, as well as the local taxi firm were extremely helpful throughout our stay.
Lovely air-conditioned rooms upstairs and downstairs. An impressive bar area and a great sounding music system which could play music either inside, outside, or both...just connect to device by USB lead. From the Kitchen, dining area, TV lounge and bar, we were not disappointed.
We didn't hire a car and used the local taxi firm. They were great. We spoke very little Spanish and with the assistance of google, managed to communicate well enough to call for a car to take us to the supermarket and town.
Having read almost all reviews other people have left, I find Jeanette B's review quite comical; obviously there is no pleasing some people!
I find it hard to be negative about the villa and just as an observation, would only mention two points 1) the childrens area could do with a freshen up and 2) the gym equipment was now outside (two of us did plan on using the equipment, but fun and beer got in the way). On a more positive note; the wife was impressed with the large ground floor bedroom, which has direct pool access and a roll top bath.
I highly recommend staying at this villa and will hopefully stay again in the future. 5 star rating!
Fourth time at casalita and it never disappoints! We adore this villa!
We can’t get enough of this marvellous hide away. Nestled between the mountains and the beach amongst the orange groves, Casalita offers everything a family or a group of friends could want for.
The setting is perfect, if it’s chilling at the house and enjoying the pool, this is the place! If there are youngsters in your group seeking a night out on the town, it is all possible: beach, bars and club are walking distance from the villa.
I would highly recommend Casalita to any family, it is a hidden gem and with its’ sparkling host David, it’s a no brainer! David has provided numerous paella and been very flexible with us in the past. On our first visit- just after Barcelona, our car broke down. David kindly waited up for us until midnight, greeted us with a friendly smile, oodles of wine and a meal! That won us over and we haven’t stopped coming back!
He has made so many improvements to Casalita, we’re constantly amazed and impressed by our ever expanding, luxurious second home!
It is simply marvellous!
Amazing villa situated between the mountains and the beach with a fabulous host!
This was a great holiday break. Casalita is so well equipped, once we had done our supermarket sweep, there was no need to leave. We loved cooking and making the most of the villa and its outdoor living space. It is such a calm and relaxing enviroment, despite only having stayed for a few days, we left feeling totally recharged!!!
David we will be back!
I highly recommend Casalita.
We had a wonderful time staying at Casalita. The property is secluded amongst orange groves with no immediate neighbours, making it perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday - and allowing for the magnificent sound system to be used without any worry for disturbing others!
The owner David, and Maria from the Agency, were incredibly helpful throughout, and very responsive to any of our queries.
The villa was spacious and well-equipped, with more dining space than we knew what to do with, a massive sofa that fit all of us, and an impressive bar area. The kitchen was especially well-equipped, which was very helpful when you’re catering for such a large number. The lounge area was brilliant, with a large TV that had several games consoles and a sky box, so we were able to easily keep up with the World Cup. The pool area is lovely, as well as thoughtfully set out - you could always get a lounger in the shade, which was definitely helpful in the hot summer temperatures. The pool itself is delightful, and we spent a lot of time in it; we put up our own pool volleyball net, which provided hours of entertainment. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and the en-suite bathrooms were modern and very useful for such a large group. The air-conditioning was very impressive, allowing us to stay comfortable inside despite the hot weather.
Being a group of 15 young adults, we didn’t hire cars - although we found that this worked absolutely fine. We used the suggested taxi hire company once, and would recommend to others. The nearby supermarket, open 7 days a week and a 15-20 minute walk from the villa, is very well stocked and catered for all our needs. We also tried the freshly made paella which was absolutely delicious, and a definite highlight of the week. Xeraco itself is very authentic and not overly touristy (which was lovely, although on some occasions admittedly made communication more difficult, as we didn’t speak much Spanish!) and the beach is beautiful.
Overall, our stay was far better than we could ever have anticipated, and we had an incredible time in a beautiful Villa, in a beautiful area. Many thanks from all of us for such a wonderful holiday.
Our second visit to this beautiful villa. I find it impossible to say anything less than it is absolutely perfect. We love the location, pool, huge ground floor with so many different areas, we were a group of 14 and still managed to spread out and have quiet times.. There's 5 different eating areas including the amazing dining table that sat us all comfortably. Everyone has their own bathroom. Stylish and spotlessly clean throughout. Thanks again David for another unforgettable holiday.!
Special interest holidays:
Naturist beach 3km from house.
The beach is 2 minutes drive, 20 minutes walking.
The house is located 5km from the A7 motorway, junction 60, taking you to Valencia airport in 40 minutes, and Alicante airport is 1 hour 15 minutes. Car hire is recommended. You will arrive at easy to find local estate agents. They will escort you to the house (2 minutes) issue keys and show you around.
The nearby town of Gandia is less than 10 minutes drive and offers all types of shopping. Gandia beach is just 3km from Gandia and is larger than Xeraco boasting lots of souvenir shopping, as well as plenty of clothes, leather goods, jewellery shops and stalls. For the sporty the marina, the yacht club and the large, busy beach offer all types of aquatic pursuits.
Xeraco Platya (beach) is just a few minutes drive from the house and offers kilometres of unspoilt golden sands and crystal clear waters, each year winning the Blue Flag clean beach award. There is no busy promenade at Xeraco just a natural beach that is too large to become crowded. The beach area is mostly made up of privately owned apartments but you won't see huge high rises as there is a height restriction enforced on building. Thus the beach remains attractive with a stylish, modern art-deco feel, and is indeed busy enough to provide restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, beach bars, ice cream parlours, seaside shops, souvenir shops, pharmacy, medical centre, bakeries, newsagent, tobacconist, large self-catering shop, children's play area with rides, bars and a night club, (weekends only).
2km (5 minutes drive) inland is Xeraco town. Larger than the beach it has several banks and provides all the specialised shops you may require, and on Mondays a nice street market. Valanciana is famous for its fiestas and Xeraco celebrates these elaborate street parades to the full, many of which culminate in a firework display, and can be experienced throughout the summer months.
The Safor Mountains behind Xeraco boast small rustic villages such as Barx and Marxuqera which are well loved by walkers and cyclists. Fishing and horse-riding are also available locally. Terra Mitica theme park with large rides, a water park and bird park, all lay behind Benidorm, approximately 45 minutes from the house. The cosmopolitan city of Valencia is easily reachable by car, 40 mins, or train directly from the village to the heart of the city (6 euros return). Must sees are the largest aquarium in europe, the Bio parc an amazing 'natural' zoo, and the city of arts and sciences.
Private chef delivers authentic Spanish food. Paellas a speciality. Cooked to order on wood stove by chef with 40 years of experience, and delivered to the villa at your specified time, full menu at the villa.
