Stroll cobblestone streets and chose from over 100 authentic Italian restaurants, bakeries, markets and cafes. Walk out the door to a plethora of delicious cappuccino and Italian pastry shops, and stop in at the owner’s Italian sandwich shop: Pauli’s, “wicked fresh, crazy good" comfort food on the street level. Location could not have been better!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with three children under age 13 and it was wonderful! Extremely clean and cool in the middle of the bustling North End.

What is it near (from a visitor's perspective with kids as young as 8!): An easy walk to the Wharf/Aquarium to pick up the Duck tour and Charlestown Ferry (to USS Constitution). An easy walk to Faneuil Hall and all the shops around Quincy Market. An easy walk to the Haymarket and Govt Center T stops (orange and green line). We took the green line direct to Fenway and on other days transferred to other lines to get to both Harvard Square and the JFK Museum. CVS is around the corner for any forgotten necessities. Go Bananas! across the street for cold drinks and made to order sandwiches to go. Smoothie shop across the street. My husband walked to Cafe Paradiso each day to grab coffee and pastries for us. We dined at Antico Forno (which is just steps away) with friends and it was great with kids. **We highly recommend making reservations for North End eateries for dinner; you can always cancel the reservations.**

An absolute unexpected gem was the Rose Kennedy greenspace just steps away with a fountain for the kids to play in and cool off. Amazing!

Inside the rental, some things we appreciated: ample cleaning supplies so we could clean up after ourselves each day; bulk toilet paper and tissues (one of our kids had a cold the whole time so this was very appreciated); ample towels and sheets (this is a must with a family!); ample hooks everywhere for hanging used towels and personal items, which helped keep us organized; drawers, closet organization, and bulk-size toiletries in the shower, too! The small dryer can handle a small load of light laundry but takes *forever* to dry the absorbent terry towels provided. We had to dry the towels one at a time, but this was not a huge deal. (We stayed for 6 days and like to clean towels as we go.) Also loved the blackout blinds in the bedrooms PLUS panels to block out light. Amazing detail!

Layout: We had to take the full-size bed in order to put 2 of our kids together in the larger bed (and one in the living room pull-out couch). We travel with white noise and did not mind the many random noises that came from within the building and outside. The kids all slept well.

Only advice is more cups and glasses! These were lacking, and two had cracks in them/were broken.

Thank you for all the thought put into this rental. It really made our Boston experience enjoyable

Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at this North End condo! Our first visit to Boston included 3 generations - our 7 year old son and my 70+ year old parents. We had plenty of room, with my son sleeping on the hide-a-bed and adults in the two bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of places to sit between the living room and dining room table/bar stools. Check-in instructions were detailed and accurate - plenty of keys so all adults had a set. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of towels. The unit was perfectly located for our trip. Picking up the Freedom Trail at the end of the street let us easily access the entire trail. Tons of restaurants to choose from - just beware that even during the week before "high" season, there were very long waits at many of them! We will definitely recommend this rental and look for it again if we return to Boston!

One of the best VRBO we have stayed in

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in VRBO all over the world and I have to say this was one of the most well stocked condos. It was a beautiful remodel. Has everything we needed. Loved the access to all the restaurants and attractions. Best restaurants were Lucca and Limoncello. Tried Rabia by us and were bitterly disappointed. Terrible food and service. The condo was great and location superb. We parked one block away and was $38 per day but very convenient.

AMAZING Location!

  • 5 of 5

We didn't know a lot about the city when we came to stay in Boston so I guess you could say we got really super lucky in scoring this place. After seeing the city for 4 days we concluded that we could not have picked a better location if we had known everything about Boston. This place is steps from everything you could want to do in Boston and if you want to get outside the city it is a really short walk to the train. The restaurants surrounding the apartment in "little Italy" are all delicious and the pastry shops are equally yummy. The actual apartment is very clean and very comfortable. We were a party of 4 and the only slight hiccup was that the second bedroom has a full bed instead of a queen. Not a super big deal but at 5'10" and my husband being 6'4" it was a little tight. The ease of getting into the apartment upon arrival was also so nice. You will not regret staying here no matter your reason for visiting this beautiful city.

Absolutely fantastic North End - Live Like a Local

  • 5 of 5

So centrally located to everything you want to do in Boston. This rental unit is EXACTLY as shown. Totally upgraded, comfortable, with everything you need to make your stay perfect. This unit is a 3-minute walk from the Haymarket station; 5-minute walk to Old North Church/Paul Revere; 10-min from Faneuil Hall, and on and on.

Members of our party said several times “this is so much better than a hotel.” Beds & rooms were comfortable, spacious. The second half bath in the one bedroom allowed us to use the hallway bath to shower etc. Never felt crowded or on top of each other. Street noise was minimal. The flat is equipped with anything you need or think you need including extra linens, blankets, towels. Kitchen well stocked to cook if you desire.

Owner was super easy to work with and responsive. Very grateful to have lived like a local, even for a few days.

Extremely clean condo and very easy to accommodate 4 people in three sleeping different areas

  • 5 of 5

My middle-aged daughter, my high-school-aged grandson and his friend, and I (in my 70s) greatly enjoyed a three-night stay in this condo this past weekend. It was extremely clean and had very nice quality towels. The kitchen was nicely equipped, with a Keurig coffee maker. The refrigerator has filtered water and a great ice maker. The sofa and easy chair in the living room were comfy. The dining room table was roomy with four comfy chairs.

There are two bathrooms. One is a half bath with access from the master bedroom (which had a queen bed), and the other is a full bath which opened into the main hallway and was easily accessible to all guests (the second bedroom with a double bed, and the sofa bed in the living room). Having the full bath accessible to everyone was very handy for coordinating showers. And the shower was beautiful.

The heating (baseboard) and cooling (ceiling unit) worked well -- there are two controls in the living room. It may sound weird to say, but the condo didn't have any odd odors. It smelled good and if you want, the windows in the living room open to the street.

I had excellent and helpful email communications with Marie, who was our HomeAway contact person.

We ate great lobster rolls at Neptune's Oyster bar a couple of doors away (it's good to check in there ahead of when you want to eat; we waited for 1 1/2 hours after getting our name on the list -- and it was really worth the wait!). We also had tasty take out and great lobster rolls from Pauli's deli, which is right downstairs.

A great stay!
