Self-catering 2 bedroom apartment with stunning views, perfect for families

A beautiful self-catering, two bedroom ski apartment sleeping 4 situated in a fantastic Savoie style chalet. The Apartment is on the 1st floor and is only 100m from the ski slopes and right in the centre of the resort. So nothing is far away! Fully equipped with an open plan kitchen (complete with dishwasher), dining and living area which leads out onto the balcony with stunning views of the mountains and Tarentaise valley.

The apartment has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin, both with plenty of wardrobe space, a spacious bathroom and separate toilet.

With everything you need including covered parking, ski locker, wifi, central heating, balcony, TV, DVD, PlayStation and a large wooden table where many a night is spent playing games and sipping French wine before retreating to the balcony to revel in the tranquility of Sainte Foy.

All amenities are within a minute of the apartment including super market, ski shops, bars and restaurants so the location is excellent!

Chalet Chocolat St Foy

We were absolutely delighted with the chalet and the St Foy ski resort. The chalet was warm, cosy, clean and well appointed and its location could not have been better. We were right above the boulangerie and ski hire shop. The ski locker and underground parking were directly under the apartment too which made things really easy. It was great to come back from the slopes (via the apres bar!) and jump into a hot bath before relaxing with a DVD. We skied one day at Val D'Iserre and another at Les Arcs but really the St Foy slopes were sufficient to keep my two teenagers entertained and the lift passes were cheaper. This was the best ski chalet we have stayed in and the most convenient. (A word of warning if you are driving, the satnav postcode will take you to the St Foy Tarantaise resort a couple of miles below. You need to proceed up to St Foy Station and the chalet is in F Block on the left just past the Premier Neige office. We had trouble finding it at first as there is no sign for chalet chocolat on the mail boxes.

If you have small children this could be the ideal resort for convenience and great slopes to learn to ski on. You certainly will not be disappointed with Chalet Chocolat, it is a real gem. We will certainly return.

Apartment Chocolat & Sainte Foy

- very convenient, right in the centre of the village,

- everything in very easy reach,

- well equipped (suggest taking some additional DVDs)

- owner offers discount for repeat customers

- includes underground car parking


- small sympathetic resort, offering something for everyone, from beginners slopes to tree-lined runs to off-piste,

- non existent lift queues,

- most visitors seem to be British,

- a real "gem",

- great restaurants (Bergerie is a "must")

- cheaper than bigger resorts,

- close to mega-resorts of Val d'Isere etc (the Ste Foy lift pass gives discounts in these areas)

- I would suggest shopping in the supermarkets in Bourg (as the supermarket in resort is expensive)

Apartment Chocolat - St Foy

We stayed in St Foy during late march 2011 and stayed in Apartment Chocolat which is a lovely 2 bedroomed apline apartment within a chalet complex in the very centre of the resort. Every day started with Croissant collected from the Boulangerie just below our apartment and lovely views. Then it was out on the slopes. For a couple of days we went up to Le Fornet half an hour away in the car just above val d'isere and skied on the glacier up there which was great. Whether a novice or a veteran skier you will love the peace of St foy and its wide pistes of blue and red runs and hardly any waiting at the ski lifts. Great places to eat and a lovely place to stay. The apartment is cosy, clean and the beds comfortable - at the end of a long day skiing it was just ideal being so close to the slopes. Would definitely book again. Thanks Nick.

Aparment Chocolat

Apartment Chocolat has an ideal central location very close to Ski Lifts, Bars and Shops.

It is well equipped with very comfortable beds and a luxury bath to soothe aching limbs after a day on the slopes.

We had a great holiday and happy to recommend this apartment.

A highly recommended apartment, right in the centre of the resort. My family had a great time playing games and relaxing after a few hard days skiing. Extremely comfortable and very well equiped. Exactly as advertised!

Sainte Foy, nestled between alpine forests offers some of the most stunning views in the Alps. Located near the Italian border and as well as having its own uncrowded ski area, it is an excellent base for those with a car to visit some of France's classic ski areas, within a thirty minute drive, including Val d'Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Rosiere/La Thuile. The town of Bourg St Maurice is just 10mins away for local shopping.

Accompanied by a guide, you can explore one of the fabulous off piste routes with their stunning and unforgettable scenery:

To the listed village of Le Monal with spectacular views across to the glaciers on Mont Pourri

To the north face of Fogliettaz, one of the best loved off-piste routes in the area, much favoured by local mountain guides because of the quality of the snow which lasts long after other routes have been skied-out.

For non-skiers, Ste Foy is equally appealing for walkers, climbers, mountain bikers, golfers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
