Casa Moreno has a unique blend of charm and comfort. It is convenient to shopping, tours, and beaches. The unique attributes of the Villa are the spectacular views, the comfort and convenience of both the house and the location, and the quality and functionally of the new and modern furnishings and appliances.

The views from Casa Moreno are magnificent. The ocean with the new Pez Vela marina is to the west and south and the endless rainforest mountains are to the east and north. The sun rises and illuminates the mountains in the morning and sets at the ocean in the evening.

Casa Moreno was built in 2015 with the goal of making the villa enjoyable, guest friendly, attractive, and comfortable. Everything is new including all the furnishings and utensils, towels linens, appliances etc. All the furniture was custom made in Sarchi, Costa Rica.

The design of the house is a blend of Mediterranean and Costa Rican architecture and decor. The house is large, with 280 square meters, 3000 square feet of inside living space and 2000 square feet of balcony, decks and patios for exterior enjoyment. Many large half oval windows accomodate the spectactular views from inside the house.

The villa can accommodate up to 10 guests with space and privacy for all.

There are four bedrooms and three full baths. The large Master bedroom has a king bed, a private bath and large closets.

Bedroom two is on the same level as the master and has an oversized bunk bed with a queen on the bottom and a double on the top. There is a full bath next to this bedroom.

Bedrooms 3 and 4 with queen beds are on the lower level. Both have doors which access the balcony at the pool level as well as the house interior. There is a large full bath located between these two bedrooms.

All the beds are new, custom made, with orthopedic mattresses, comfort toppers and protective covers for both beds and pillows.

All the bedrooms have large closets of cedar wood, custom made furniture, comfortable beds, and privacy from other areas.

All the bedrooms and the main living area are air conditioned with individual thermostats. There are ceiling fans in the upper bedrooms and living area as well as on the balcony.

All the bathrooms are large, all tile with good showers and fixtures. All are stocked daily with fresh towels and washcloths by the maid.

The main area is open and consists of the living, dining, and kitchen areas. All the ceilings are high and are teak wood. There are many large Mediterranean style windows to provide an indescribable view.

The living room is very homey and comfortable, good for conversation, playing games, or for watching satellite TV. There is a seven seat sectional sofa, a large recliner, one other cushioned chair, and a large coffee table.

The entertainment center has a large Sony flat screen 50 inch SMART LED TV which is connected for satellite reception. There are several HBO and Cinemax movie channels as well as NFL and sports. There are many stations in both spanish and english. There is also a stereo with bluetooth and a netflix and streaming compatable blueray DVD.

There is high speed fiber optic cable wifi internet access throughout the house.

The spacious kitchen has a large island with six cushioned back stools. This area is a favorite gathering place for cocktails and conversation while enjoying the views.

There is a large, double door refrigerator with icemaker, a large gas stove with oven, a dishwasher, a microwave and all of the small appliances one might need. The cedar cabinets are stocked with enough utensils for ten people.

The dining room has a large table with eight cushioned chairs. You can enjoy the view while you dine.

The panoramic views from the kitchen, dining and living areas are of the Pacific Ocean, mountains, and the town of Quepos. The fabulous views are a unique feature of Casa Moreno.

A door opens from the kitchen area onto a full length balcony on the side of the house. The view of the ocean and the marina are spectacular from there. The balcony furniture consists of a large table with eight cushioned chairs. Like all the furnishings, it is new and of good quality. The six burner gas grill is located here. Oftentimes we do our cooking here, especially fresh fish.

The pool can be accessed from the balcony off the kitchen, from inside the house at the entry, or from either of the two lower bedrooms. The pool is private. There is a spacious lounging and seating area. There are areas of sun and areas of shade. There are two tables with six chairs and eight quality chaise loungers near the pool.

The pool has a view of the ocean, town, and mountains yet there is privacy. The depth is five feet throughout, good for swimming but requiring supervision of children who cannot swim. The pool is well lighted for evening swimming.

The walls around the pool were painted as a Costa Rican landscape mural by a local artist. Many of the local floral and fauna are depicted in the mural. It is fun to try to find all the different local species in the mural.

New, tropical landscaping for the property attracts many species of birds, butterflies and monkeys and provides privacy. We generally see more birds and butterflies at the villa than we do in the parks. The variety and colors are amazing.

We have a manager and concierge team, Sabrina, Mefi and the CR vacation team, to help with your travel arrangements, to greet you, to check you in, to answer your questions, and to help with your tours and travel arrangements. Using Sabrina and Mefi for travel and tours will insure you travel with drivers familiar with our location and that you enjoy the very best tours available.

Both the concierge service and the daily maid service are included in the price. All fees and costs are included in the rates provided.

A chef will come to the Villa and prepare your meals for a reasonable price. Contact Sabrina or Mefi for menus and prices.

All in country transportation, tours and activities can easily be prearranged for you by Sabrina or Mefi. We recommend a shuttle to and from the airport. Mefi can arrange a rental vehicle to be dropped off at the house if you so desire.

The villa has an ample supply of quality towels and linens including towels for the pool and towels for the beach.

There are outdoor showers near the entry to the villa and at the pool level to wash off sand and sunblock lotion.

There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer on site. If you prefer, the maid will do your personal laundry for an reasonable fee.

Casa Moreno is conveniently located just off the Manuel Antonio road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Distances are one mile to the town, two miles to the beach, and three miles to Manuel Antonio park. It is located near the best hotels with many good restaurants nearby.

For security, the house is fenced, alarmed, monitored, and there is a safe.

There is covered parking ten feet from the entrance.

My wife and I reside in Pennsylvania. We are both retired, I was a contractor and she had a beauty salon. We are meticulous owners who try to do it right. We had rental property in Florida prior to relocating our get away place to Costa Rica. We have children and grandchildren. At least once a year, our family gathers at our two properties in Pajaro Azul. We like that there are so many different things to do for people of all ages in the beautiful Manuel Antonio area of Costa Rica. As you may have guessed, my wife and I like to go fishing. We also enjoy eating our fish at any number of superb local restaurants where they cheerfully prepare it for us.

What makes this house unique

When we first viewed the property, we were mesmerized by the panoramic view. The views are the most diverse and best we have seen. You can see for many many miles in all directions.

In addition to the views there are other unique features of Casa Moreno: All the furniture was hand made in Sarchi by local craftsmen from local Guanacaste wood. We love the appearance and the smell of this wood.

We know a local artist from Quepos. He did a beautiful landscape mural for the pool area. We enjoy gazing at it while lounging at the pool area.

The location of Casa Moreno is convenient to everything. It is ideal for the marina, restaurants, activities, tours and shopping. It is close to everything yet far enough away for privacy.

The charm and comfort of the house design with the large oval Mediteranean windows, th comfortable furniture, the spacious layout and the natural Costa Rican wood finishes help make Casa Moreno unique and comfortable for guests of all ages. You will enjoy spending some time at the Villa.

Casa Moreno was built based upon our previous experiences in building Casa Azul, also in Pajaro Azul. It was engineered and built with the comfort, enjoyment, and safety of guests foremost in mind.

Felt very welcomed by the management team from Caldwell Banker (Scott and David). They wasted no time in getting us up to the house and walked us through all of the systems (Sky TV, Internet, Gas Grill, AC, etc). The listing was 100% spot on. The house is located up on a hill and the views of the beach and mountains are breathtaking. We got beautiful sunsets every day! The maid service is a nice bonus. The house is a short 10-minute drive to Manuel Antonio beach. There’s a grocery store less than a mile from the house. We had 5 adults and 5 kids in our group and everyone fit nicely in the 5 beds provided. The kids loved the bunk beds. I’d recommend this house to anyone staying near Quepos or Manual Antonio. I look forward to renting this house again in the near future.

Immaculate house, stunning views, great location

Our 3-day stay was not long enough to enjoy everything this house has to offer. It's centrally located for those who want to schedule activities, but located in a very quiet area. This house can easily accommodate 10 people comfortably. The pool was the perfect temperature and beds were comfortable, we immediately felt at home. Service was outstanding all around, from booking until checkout. Zero complaints - really look forward to visiting again.

This is an amazing place to stay. The concierge MefiBoseth was excellent with communication and being there for my family and I. The maid was awesome in keeping the place clean and making sure we had clean towels daily. Chef Jeinor and his brother Yeiner made us meals that were excellent. They were humble, respectful, and mostly definitely can cook. The weather app reflected rain daily, it did not rain like it showed. We participated in the Vacation Buggy tour and the ATV tour and both were amazing. We recommend these tours. We did not get rained on. If you do plan on taking a tour, take it in the morning as the rain usually happens during the evening into the night. We plan on visiting again as we enjoyed ourselves. Once you stay here and experience the culture and rain forest, you will never want to leave. We truly wanted to stay longer.

Two families of four (kids are teenagers) loved it. Plenty of space for privacy, very clean, kitchen well stocked (except for condiments). VIEWS ARE INCREDIBLE!!! Sunrise over the mountains in the morning and colorful sunset over the ocean each night. Pool was refreshing at the end of each day. MEFI was extremely helpful, always available and recommended the best guides for our days trips (Nauyaca Waterfalls, onshore fishing, surfing lessons and Manuel Antonio Park. Highly recommend this property - wish we were still staying at Casa Moreno.

we took our grandchildren, ages 2 to 16 to CR. Best vacation ever!! all the kids raved and did not want to leave. The home had every thing we needed. It was plenty of room for 9 of us. Mefi scheduled all of our excursions and the people were fabulous! They taught all of us all about the culture and land. I can not say enough about Mefi and Lily Ana, the house keeper, Lily Ana was so sweet and helpful. If you go to CR, contact Mefi, he is awsome!!!

Casa Moreno is located in Pajaro Azul Villas 2, a small development of lovely homes just off the Manuel Antonio road one mile from Quepos. The Google maps and Open street coordinates are 9.42655445235983,-84.1608953475952. The GPS coordinates are 9degrees25feet48inchesN by 84degrees9feet31inchesW.

The villa is convenient and close to shopping and restaurants, to the new marina and to tours, attractions and beaches.

Tours and shuttles, many of which come out of Quepos will usually pick you up at Casa Moreno.

Many of the best restaurants are on the Manuel Antonio Road which is 400 meters from Casa Moreno. There are literally dozens of fine restaurants to choose from. Many have views of the Pacific Ocean.

The best beaches are in or before Manuel Antonio Park which is two miles from the house.

Some beaches have activies and vendors who rent tables, loungers and umbrellas, provide food and drink, and you can do parasailing or jetskiing. These beaches are just before Manuel Antonio Park.

Inside the park there are secluded beaches without vendors or services.

You can hire a tour guide for a reasonable fee to take you thru the park. You will see many species of Monkeys, Sloths, and Iguanas as well as unusual and unique plants and trees. A mile or so inside the park are the secluded beaches.

Quepos has a farmer's market along the ocean every Friday evening and Saturday. You can buy local fruits and vegetables as well as meats and arts and craft items at very reasonable prices.

From the balcony of Casa Moreno you can see the new Pez Vela Marina. From there you can charter fishing trips. Offshore trips usually produce sailfish and maui maui and sometimes marlin and tuna. This area of Costa Rica is considered among the best in the world for fishing. The sailfish are very large, as are the maui. You can take your maui to any of the local restaurants and they will prepare it for you, or you can cook it on the gas grill on the balcony. If offshore fishing is not your preference, you can charter smaller boats for inshore fishing for snook, snapper and roosterfish. The world record snook was caught 2015 on a local boat from Quepos. You can also catch Cubera Snapper inshore. They are a large fish and very good for eating.

The Marina also offers Catamarran tours. These boats take morning groups along the coast from the Marina to the Park. They serve fresh fruits, and drinks, point out the local landmarks, look for Douphins and whales, stop in a cove for swimming and snorkeling, and serve a delicious lunch. On the way back they entertain with song and dance. They also do sunset tours in the evening. There are also four outstanding restaurants on the marina property.

I am not a surfer, but Hermosa to the north and Dominical to the south are considered the best surfing beaches around. Both are less than an hour drive from Casa Moreno.

If you go on river rafting or on canopy ziplining tours, the tour guides will usually pick you up at the house and drive towards the rainforest mountains to the east. The size of the trees in the canopy you zipline between is truly amazing. The river tours start up the mountains and go thru jungle on fast moving water and end near Quepos. See the video on this website. It was done in November 2015 by a guest.

One of our favorite activities is to sit on the balcony or at the pool and enjoy the views. The sun rises to the east and lights up the mountains in the morning. It sets into the ocean in the evening.

We enjoy the local birds and wildlife. There is an amazing diversity of birds. Squirrel monkeys often pass thru, they are very cute. Scarlet Macaws pass thru in the mornings and evenings. The colors of these birds are brilliant.

If you rent a vehicle, getting around is not difficult. There is only one major road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio Park so it is hard to get lost. Vehicles can be rented at the San Jose airport or in Quepos. The drive from San Jose to Casa Moreno is not bad. The roads are good and there are many things to see along the way. It normally takes between two and three hours for the trip. Casa Moreno is on a hill and the road leading to it has some curves. We recommend a 4x4 vehicle or cars. The large vans can be difficult in the rain.

If you decide not to rent a vehicle, We have shuttles and service is quick and reasonable. Shuttles to and from the airport can be arranged thru the concierge Mefi. We recommend a shuttle from the airport to the house and renting a vehicle in Quepos to avoid the airport hassle.

The best shopping for food and souvenirs is in or around Quepos. There are many good restaurants in the area. The standards for quality of food and service are high. There are several new restaurants at the Marina and many along the road to Manuel Antonio.

If you decide to come, leave your warm clothes at home. It is always bathing suit weather at Casa Moreno.
