La Casita is a fabulous place to stay - you will find none better! We are just ending our week's stay and I don't want to leave!! The house is well furnished, clean, comfortable and peaceful and the surrounding grounds and garden are beautiful. The owner/proprietor, Sarita, has thought of everything to make her guests' stay perfect. She is very cordial and accommodating and is nearby if needed. I am already looking forward to our return stay - would not want to stay anywhere else!
We spent 4 nights at La Casita. I miss the morning coffee on the patio and the visits from Sarita. There is very little ambient light so we did some star-gazing in the very early morning hours. We heard the coyotes one night and were happy to be snug in this beautiful home. This was a wonderful place to stay while exploring the high road. I hope to make a return visit.
5 stars all the way. Welcoming, clean, comfortable and well appointed. We could have stayed on the property and never left for our other planned adventures. We enjoyed evening strolls to the Rio Embudo and lounged on the patio. Clean comfortable bedrooms, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots, dishes as well as spices. Plenty of clean puffy towels. We will be back. Do not hesitate to make a reservation here.
I stayed here with my daughter and daughter in law for a weekend getaway. Such a darling casita in a fabulous location. Sarita is a dear and made the stay even better. The winery next door is great and the cafe just next door is outstanding. The setting is sublime and the ambiance was perfect.
This was the place where our family had a wonderful few days cooking fabulous meals in the well equipped kitchen, and then we could walk along the river to relax and digest. We walked easily to the grocery store for provisions, but there were already a number of spices and herb teas waiting for us.
One of my favorite features was the clean bathtub and plenty of good hot water to fill it. The linens were a high quality so sleeping was a pleasure, in that cool desert night air. It was lovely to have a little fire in the woodstove before retiring. Definitely a place to return to!!
This was one of our favorite places we stayed while touring New Mexico. The home is so cozy and has everything you will need for a truly home away from home stay. Dixon is a great little town too. Thanks and we will be back
