Jewel of Ruby Ranch - a beautiful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

The Jewel of Ruby Ranch was a beautiful and spacious place to stay. There was room for our group of thirteen to have our own space but also be able to gather together in one of the inviting family and kitchen areas. The views from the balconies were awesome. I wish we could have spent more time there.

John Longhill was very accommodating. He met us at check in and gave us a tour of the place and was available if issues came up. We did have issues with the gate code but John was quick to fix it.

I would highly recommend Jewel of Ruby Ranch for a vacation

The Jewel of Ruby Ranch was a beautiful home in a perfect location central to lots of activites.

  • 5 of 5

The house and property were private and very comfortable. The only suggestion I would make would be to have another set of plates and forks in the kitchen. With 13 people we did not have enough for multiple meals in one day so we had to purchase plasric forks and paper plates. A second dishwasher would have been helpful. Also, it was curious to me that in such enormous bedroms there was only one king size bed in the house, and it was not in the largest master suite. A bedroom on the lower level says it has "bunk beds" in the online description but the photo did not picture bunks. We planned for bunk beds, but there were 2 singles in that room. There were extra single mattresses in the house that could be put on the floor, so it wasn't that big a deal, but not everyone wants to sleep on the floor (or can with dust allergies). The pullout bed in the library was not suitable for an adult for a weeklong stay. Plan accordingly. Other than that it was great! The large capacity washer and dryer were very useful. John was very kind and answered all of our questions online quickly. He was a gracious host!

Beautiful and spacious home with amazing views of Summit County, a very private and quiet property

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I coordinated his family and my family to meet in CO at The Jewel of Ruby Ranch. Although my husband and I are frequent visitors of CO, neither of our families had ever been to the state. Our stay at Ruby Ranch inspired from our families just the type of awe and adoration of CO for which my husband and I hoped.

Located on acres of land, and nestled in a gated community, Ruby Ranch provided our family with privacy and quiet that would not have been possible from other vacation rentals.

The size of the house allowed for the whole family to come together and, more importantly, provided the family private spaces to spend time apart.

The owner, John Longhill, was warm and welcoming upon our arrival. He even texted to let us know that the herd of elk that live in the area were on the property grazing the grasses! Because of his text, we were able to observe the magnificent herd as they roamed the property.

The Jewel of Ruby Ranch provided an unforgettable stay for both our families and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to have stayed there.

Large, beautiful home in serene setting

  • 5 of 5

We visited The Jewel of Ruby Ranch for a family reunion and had a wonderful stay. John was very helpful, gave us a tour when we arrived, and was available for any issues (power outage at 6 am in the neighborhood, John had already called the power company before I contacted him!). We had 5 couples, all with young children, and we were more than comfortable in this home. The property is gorgeous and we spent a lot of our time on the decks, riding bikes in the driveway, and hiking in the backyard. We will definitely re-visit this property if we get back up to Silverthorne!
