About the property

best of BVI by crewed YACHT

Take in all of the beauty of the BVI in this Yacht. You can take her with 1 full crew of chef and captain, captain only or as a bare-boat for qualified charter.

Yacht charter options.

One of the best ways to explore all the islands of the BVI have to offer is on a yacht charter. Yacht charters options are bareboat, captained or luxury crewed charters.

Bareboat charters

Bareboat yacht charters allow you the opportunity to be your own captain and take a yacht yourself to chart your own adventure. When chartering a bareboat motor yacht you can choose from two types; monohull motor yachts or power catamarans. Both provide a great way to cruise the BVI in speed, style and comfort. You can view the multiple yachts and power catamarans we offer for bareboat charter and our reservations specialist can then help you pick the best yacht for your group. Once you have selected your perfect yacht, we will send you a contract and a ‘sailing resume’ for you to complete, that details your previous experience as a captain. This allows us to ensure that the yacht you have selected is the ‘best fit’ for you and your expertise.

Bareboat charters procedure

Once you arrive in the beautiful BVI we will help coordinate your arrival at our base in Nanny Cay Marina. You can go to town to purchase provisions for your yacht, or you can order them in advance on line and they will already be on board when you arrive. Our customer service specialist will help you complete your charter paperwork and then you are nearly ready to go. Our operations manager will walk you through all the systems onboard and provide you a full ‘check out’ to ensure you are completely comfortable with the yacht before you set out on your charter. Following this briefing, you are all set to head out on the water! Your yacht will have an iPad mini loaded with Navionics to make navigating stress and hassle-free even for guests who are chartering in the waters of the BVI for the first time.

While cruising around the BVI, there is no ‘set’ itinerary of any kind – where and when you go is completely up to you. You can choose to cruise to as many of the popular islands; Norman, Peter, Cooper, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke as time will allow, or you can spend most of your time in only one or two places – since you are the captain on your bareboat charter you can do whatever you prefer. We do recommend that first time guests be sure to check out a few of the islands top spots including; The Baths, The Indians, The Willy-T, Cooper Island Beach Club, Wreck of the Rhone, Bitter End Yacht Club & Soggy Dollar Bar – just to name a few!

Crewed yacht charters

If you would love to experience all the beauty and fun of the BVI without any of the work, a luxury crewed charter offers the best of both worlds. Crewed charters allow you to travel around the islands of the BVI while experiencing the ultimate level of service and style. On a crewed yacht, a full time crew will attend to your every need and request. A captain will be on board to command the yacht and help plan an itinerary personalized to your activities and travel style. A gourmet chef will prepare three meals a day for you on board that are all tailored around your tastes and preferences.

Luxury crewed yachts are complete with all amenities including luxury accommodations, gourmet meals, satellite tv and movies, internet access, watersports toys – paddleboards, snorkel equipment, kayaks etc and depending on the size of the yacht, some even have Jacuzzi, on-board gyms and giant waterslides. The crew will move the yacht around all the islands in the BVI and often show guests ‘secret spots’ that are generally not seen by tourists or other charter guests. A luxury crewed charter is the ultimate way to enjoy the BVI in comfort and style!

Regardless of whether you choose to visit the BVI via a bareboat or luxury crewed charter, the weather for your vacation is beautiful year round.

Why Charter Advisor chose Tortola

If you want to be noticed, this is one way to do it! The external styling alone, particularly that fighter-style glass canopy, would be enough to grab anyone’s attention, but this boat is packed with a lot more innovations and ideas, inside and out.

The main deck layout is an object lesson in how things should be done, with a long, curving sofa and table on the bridge deck opposite the helm, port and starboard seating down aft, and a sunpad over the tender garage. The result is plenty of comfortable space to sit, lounge, or lie down, and with glass all around and overhead, the views from the upper dinette are unsurpassed. It really feels like sitting outside—especially with the big roof panel slid back.

Venturing down below you’re faced with a beautiful open space, with a starboard side galley offering plenty of practical stowage space space both at eye level and below the worktop, including a thoughtfully provided slot for the worktop infill panels that cover the cooktop and sink. On the port side is a large sofa lounge area perfect for relaxing after a day at sea.

Practicality remains the theme throughout. Atlantis describes the 55 as a “two-master” yacht, as it will be hard to choose between the amidships and forward cabins. The amidships stateroom offers a big, offset double berth under the cockpit sole and standing headroom on the port side, but the forward cabin runs a close second. Both have roomy en suite heads and as much practical stowage space as possible, both in the cabins and the heads. The third cabin, a twin on the starboard side between the midships master and the galley, offers two twin beds or the option to convert the beds to a double.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The Azumit is an incredible way to see the BVI's. We saw all the islands in the BVI. Even made it to Anegada for lobster one afternoon. My personal favorite is The Bitter End yacht club. The owner of the Azumit, couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating . The boat is in wonderful condition. I recommend this trip, If you like to wear high heels in the islands this may not be the trip for you, but if you like the wind in your hair cruising ferarri-style on a sleek Italian made yacht this may be the trip for you. Oh by the way, don't forget to hit Jost Van Dyke, Foxys, the Soggy Dollar. While at the soggy dollar sip on a couple of pain killers do a little people watching.

Yacht Adventure

  • 5 of 5

Our family goes on a boat vacation once every couple of years. This time, wife and I spent 11 days on this yacht with our teenage daughter and nine year old son. This was a great trip and I am very glad that we decided on this yacht vs a catamaran. She was so much faster then getting around by catamaran and we averaged 20 knots between places, vs under 10, as on other boats. This is a very comfortable yacht with a well though out interior and deck layout. Lots of space for everyone. The amenities were great. There is a TV/DVD in every cabin as well the salon. I think we only used them couple of times. What was fantastic on this yacht are the underwater lights and the lowering swim platform. In the evening, we spent many hours looking at all the fish that come right up to the boat. It was like scuba diving without ever leaving the boat, with a glass of wine in your hand. Outdoor BBQ is electric and was so much easier and better to use then the charcoal ones that are typical for rental boats. A/C’s worked great. Best rental boat we ever experienced and the gals at VMY that managed the boat were great. Highly recommend and we will do this again next year.

1st Time Yacht Charter

  • 5 of 5

Our family decided to see the BVI and USVI over Christmas this year. We we’re thinking of staying at one of the resort, but then came across this yacht as an option, which allowed us to enjoy the amenities of many resorts and beaches. We have a ski boat back in US but never operated a boat this size, so we choose it crewed with a captain and chef for our charter.

My wife and the two kids loved this vacation. The yacht is amazing. Chef Rosalie, prepared snacks, breakfast appetizers and island style cocktails for us daily. “Painkillers” by the pitcher are fantastic. We winded up having dinner at the resorts and restaurants about half of the time and had dinner provisions left over at the end of our charter. I would recommend to future guest provisioning to include more snacks and plan on having dinner ashore most of the time. It just winds up that way when you visit some of the top resorts by picking up a mooring ball in front of their beach and taking the yachts Jet Tender ashore.

The captain showed us the ins-and-outs of the yacht, and next time I’ll consider taking her out by myself. Getting from island to island was very quick. This yacht is fast and very stable. You can put a drink on a table and it doesn’t move.

We especially lover being able to pick up a mooring ball at some the resorts, having access to private beaches and little islands where we were the only people ashore. The Baths was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this as an option rather then staying at a resort. We will definitely charter again!

Best Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

This was the best vacation ever. We wanted to do something different rather then the Sandals or a home rental and decided to try a yacht rental instead. I have some boot experience but nothing this size, so we hired a captain for the trip to operate the yacht. After a day onboard I was able to handle the boat by myself and we actually asked the captain to have us do the last half of the week by ourselves. The boat was very easy to handle with the bow and stern thrusters so we were able to maneuver it without any problems.

BVI is amazing and we were able to see and enjoy couple of the resorts rather then being just at one place. The boat rooms were larger then we anticipated and overall very comfortable. I would highly recommend this is an option. We will definitely be back and next time will take her out by ourselves with 3 couples.
