The Villa Marina country house is just 4 km away from Pollença. The nearest beach is in Port de Pollença or in Cala Sant Vicenç, just a few minutes' drive away. Villa Marina is beautiful and peaceful amidst a 10,000-sq. m property on the Marina Estate, situated near the Pollença Golf Course. This villa, made of natural stone in the local tradition, is surrounded by a beautiful garden with palms and other native plants, and has a lovely view of the rural surroundings that stretch toward the town of Pollença. The entrance gate is on a small country road, and leads to a short driveway to the country house. In the well-maintained garden area, there is an 11 x 5-m swimming pool with eight sun loungers and a parasol. The covered and independent terraces are completely furnished with a patio table and chair set (main terrace), or a rustic table and wooden benches (grill house terrace). A rustic wooden door leads into the entryway. The spacious living area on the ground floor contains a completely equipped kitchen and private dining room, as well as the living room, while the bedroom area is on the left side with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house next to the grill house has an additional bedroom and a shower room. That is the Villa Marina Finca, property and house. ‘Marina’ is the toponym of the region the country house is situated in. The area is known for its particularly peaceful location. The estate is located on an old country road between Port de Pollença, Pollença Golf Course and Alcudia. The road branches into other small paths, ideal for taking walks, jogging, or biking. However, because of the proximity to Pollença, you will still be able to experience the town's hustle. The covered and uncovered terraces on different levels make the house unique. One of the most beautiful things about the houses in the south is that you can simply stand for hours outdoors. Is there anything more beautiful than a day that starts with a breakfast on the terrace, then spent sunbathing by the pool or resting under the shade of a palm tree, and capped off with a refreshing shower followed by an enjoyable evening barbecue with a glass of wine? The covered terrace is perfect for the latter, no matter the weather. In addition, on warm summer nights, you will want to sit back on one of the open-air terraces to wonder unhindered at the starry Majorcan sky. The outdoor lighting of the country house also creates a lovely evening ambience. The outdoor grill next to the pool with a covered grill house is furnished with a wooden table and benches. Other covered and open-air terraces are located at the main house, which can be accessed from the kitchen or the lounge area. The large table with eight comfortable chairs on the terrace offers an ideal place for a get-together with family and friends. The indoor area of the house has been organized practically. The sleeping area is on the left-hand wing of the house, which can be accessed from the living area via a couple of stairs. The main house's three bedrooms are found here. All three are double bedrooms with a practical wall closet, and they all have individually-controlled air conditioning. The first bedroom is fitted with a 1.6 x 2-m double bed, while a small dresser and two nightstands decorate the room. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, well lit and completely furnished; a window provides both natural light and good ventilation. This bedroom has a bathtub with shower equipment, as well as two washbasins, a large oblong mirror, a toilet and a bidet. The middle bedroom contains two beds and two nightstands. The beds can be used together as a double bed, or separately as singles. The third bedroom is at the end of the corridor, and this one also has two single beds, separated or together as a double bed, and further on, a dresser and two nightstands. Another bathroom is located between the middle and third bedrooms. It is completely equipped with a bathtub with shower equipment, a toilet, a bidet, and a washbasin with a large wall mirror, as well as a small window for natural light and good ventilation. The fourth bedroom is also a double room and is located in the neighbouring house by the pool. The third bathroom is found there as well, equipped with a shower, a toilet, a bidet, and a small washbasin. Now back to the main house: The lounge area by the entrance has a small entryway with a wardrobe, which opens onto the lounge with two comfortable sofas and a table in the centre. There is also a floor lamp, TV stand, DVD player, Wi-Fi apparatus, and a small stereo system. The completely furnished covered terrace is linked to the lounge area with a sliding glass door. On the indoor side, another glass door leads into the kitchen with its own dining area. The dining area contains a large, modern, and whitewashed solid wood table and modern, comfortable chairs. It also has access to the covered terrace, which contains an original olivewood table with eight comfortable outdoor chairs. Depending on the weather and temperature, you can decide whether you want to eat indoors or outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide variety of electric appliances and utensils. Next to the kitchen, there is a pantry containing pots and pans in all sizes, sufficient dishes and glasses, and all the kitchen utensils and appliances that you expect of a house of this size. A small washroom with a washing machine, ironing board, iron, and clothes drying rack is located in this area of the holiday house. Surroundings and activities: Beach lovers are not far away from their goal. The beaches of Port de Pollença and Cala de Sant Vincenç (Pollença Bay), as well as the beaches of Alcudia and Playa de Muro are just a few minutes' drive away. A winding mountain road leads to Formentor beach, with a viewing tower on the way at the northernmost point of Majorca that allows you to view the vast expanse of the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. On particularly clear days, you can see the northern sister island of Menorca. Golf and sports: The nearest golf courses are Pollença Golf Course and Alcanada Golf Course. The latter enjoys a great following, as it is technically demanding and several spots afford a direct view of the Mediterranean: a unique backdrop. Bikers, hikers, and swimmers will get their money's worth in the area. Restaurants and culinary arts: There are numerous restaurants, cafés and bistros in the nearby towns of Pollença and Port de Pollença. Other interesting activities: Car trips to discover the island, visits to wineries, shopping in Palma - these are just some of the possibilities that Villa Marina offers as a point of departure for activities. Hvilken fantastisk

øy Mallorca er!!!!

Vi kjøpte flybilletter og

leide bil i 3 uker.

Bilen hentes og leveres

ved flyplassen.

Første uken leide vi en

leilighet i Santa Ponsa.

Familietid, utflukter,

god mat og bare oss 5.

De to siste ukene var vi i

drømmehuset i Pollenca sammen

med våre kjære ferievenner.

Da har både barn og voksne

noen å leke med:-)

Helt greit å dele litt på

matlaging og innkjøp også…

På Mallorca er man aldri

langt fra noe! Her er strender

for enhver smak og nydelige

byer både langs kysten

og oppe i fjellene.

Det er bare å sette seg

Lovely and clean house in the countryside

We didn´t miss a thing in this house. It had all a family could want during a vacation.

The owners were very nice, friendly and helpful. We would love to stay in this house another time.

5* Accommodation - June 2015

We stayed here for 11 nights in June 2015. Met the agent Jaume in Pollensa and he took us to the villa and showed us around.

The villa is exactly as it looks on the photos, the gardens are stunning and immaculately kept, the pool is massive and beautifully clean. As it says in the description the key thing to the villa is it is in such huge gardens that you can literally get the sun from first thing in the morning till it goes down at night, we were coming home about 4pm and still sun bathing till gone 7pm by the pool.

Bar-b-que right by the pool is lovely.

Very slight downside, is that despite the land there IS a villa very close and the 2nd half of our stay there were noisy kids in the pool - but didn't spoil the stay, plenty of terraces round the villa to get away from it. But overall absolute peace and quiet - so much so we were sleeping 10 hours a night!!

Kitchen beautifully fitted out.

Only slight pain, was having to open and close the gates (as advised) every time you come and go - pain in the proverbial - this really needs to be electronic - looks like it was at some point.

overall though fantastic, highly recommended, and Karin and Jaume were lovely, very helpful.

Beautiful luxury villa set in extensive grounds

As with all of Karin and Jaume's properties, Villa Marina lived up to all of our expectations. The house is beautiful and well laid out. It has everything you could need and all of high quality. The grounds are extensive and beautifully landscaped with a pool just down from the main terrace. All very luxurious and perfect for a relaxing family holiday. Karin and Jaume are great hosts and it is always lovely to meet again. Jaume's tomatoes are always enjoyed!

Thank you again for a lovely holiday. We would be very happy to stay here again or any of the other properties that you manage.

The Villa Marina country house is just a five-minute drive from Pollença. Pollença's old town is easily one of the most beautiful and traditional of northern Majorca. The town is nestled in an idyllic setting at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains. These mountains, because of their unique history, were declared a world cultural heritage site a few years ago. You can enjoy the town of Pollença at any time of day: having breakfast in one of its cafés, shopping in one of its boutiques, gift shops, or jewellery stores. There are a number of art galleries, museums, and various restaurants, where you can have lunch or dinner. Alternatively, perhaps you will just let the day go by on the picturesque market plaza, sitting comfortably with a glass of wine. The Sunday morning market fills Pollença with colours and life. In the narrow streets around the market plaza, you will find stands with different wares, original, and in good taste, like the town itself. In the market plaza, you can supply yourself with fruit and vegetables for the week, as well as with traditional Majorcan products and real treats. Pollença also offers numerous delis, with a large selection of these Majorcan products. These gourmet stores also have wine sections, where you can find Spanish wines. There are classics, such as Rioja, Navarra, Ribera del Duero, Somontana, Rueda, and, of course, Majorcan wines. There are numerous wineries throughout Majorca, the latest census counted around 70 wineries. Over the years, the island has become a high-class wine region, with its relatively young wines gathering a strong following. If you would like to try the wine directly from the source, you will have countless opportunities here in Majorca, including a few in Pollença and its surroundings. We can gladly set you up with our wine guides. The harbour, Port de Pollença, is ideal for strolls along its pine-fringed beach promenade and by its exclusive marinas. There is a wide array of athletic activities, such as surfing, kite surfing, sailing (Hobie Cat, catamaran, and sailboats), jet skiing, water-skiing and much more. If shopping is your thing, Pollença and Port de Pollença offer numerous shops and restaurants, from traditional Majorcan restaurants with fresh fish from the bay to the somewhat more exotic Indian or Japanese restaurants. It`s up to you to choose traditional or exotic meals. Cala San Vicente is the next bay over from Pollença. It is the jewel of Pollença, stunningly set amidst the Tramuntana Mountain Range, with a view of the picturesque Mediterranean and the emblematic mountain, Cavall Bernat. Cavall Bernat has been the subject of numerous local and international painters during Majorca's 'Belle Époque' at the beginning of the 20th century. During this time, Pollença and its surroundings, the town, and its people, shone brightly with their art, worldliness, and an outlook that was quite modern for their time.
