Sports, games, reading, talking, walking or meditating: All this and much more makes our cozy and friendly, with (almost) all the amenities-equipped cottage in Alsace. In addition, you can use the house and the garden alone during your stay!
The house is situated in a quiet side street of the village, surrounded by 900 square meters of land with manicured lawns, flower beds and different trees; a fence and lockable garden gates separates it from the small village road. The whole property is bordered by hedges and therefore can hardly be seen. Friendly neighbors speak some German.
The view from the windows of the front facade faces south, the large garden is located on the sunny side of the valley (in the summer of 8. 00 to 18. 00 clock sun). Two bikes in the garage can be used for excursions.

Fruit, vegetables and dairy products you can buy at 100 meters from organic farmers. The baker holds 3 times a week to about 8 00 clock in front of the house to sell baguettes, croissants, brioches etc. Other shops are located in Villé (7 km), where an excellent confectionery and several restaurants await your visit. Likewise, you will also find grocery stores, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies, etc., and an indoor and outdoor pool.
At wine tastings, you drive along the wine trail, z. B. to Andlau in the north, or to St Hipolyte the south. Quite near Urbeis delicious jams (Climont) are produced. Worthwhile visits in the Haut-Koenigsbourg about 20 km away, in Sélestat (20 km) with its famous Humanist Library, in Colmar (30 km) to the Riemenschneider Altar or in Strasbourg (70 km), can be reached as tourist destinations easily accessible by car.
The borders with Germany and Switzerland can be reached within half an hour or by car.
For hikers: Directly from our house you can start your hikes.
For flea market enthusiasts: Every weekend in the summer to provide different Alsatian villages flea markets. A treasure trove!
For ski enthusiasts: There are on Champ du Feu different options for Skiabfahrt- and cross-country skiing (20 km).
For Christmas Market Inspire: The enchanting Christmas markets in the Alsatian villages are well known far beyond the border.

We enjoyed our stay in Urbeis, and this house was well located to explore this lovely part of Alsace. The house is comfortable and quiet and well-supplied with everything one might need. It is an old home and has the expected limitations, such as creaky and narrow stairs and low ceilings in some rooms which make them feel a bit dark, but the kitchen and bathrooms have modern appliances, and everything worked well. After staying at several rentals where the heat was rationed or not turned on at all it was a treat to be told we could adjust the thermostat to be comfortable. It is a house clearly well-loved by the owners, and will be appreciated by people who enjoy a place with a sense of history.
My sister and I had a very nice stay ( two weeks) in this house in Urbeis. The house has a lot of space. The weather was fine. So we could have our breakfast, lunch and dinner often use outside in the beautiful garden. The house is equipped with all comforts. The owners are helpfull. We made many walks in the area. A very peacefull place! So we heartly recommend this house to other people.

We just returned home from a five weeks vacation at this lovely house in Alsace, and a very lovely five weeks the were. The house is spacy, beautiful, with all convenience and very tastefully decorated. We spent most of our stay en deux but for a week our two grandchildren joint us and the house can accommodate four with ease. I will not trouble to describe the house and its equipment since this is done very well and accurately in the description and pictures. The garden and the surroundings merit a special mention - they are just marvelous. The owners were very friendly and helpfull. Three caveats: You will need a car and should be prepared to drive 10-20 Km or more to reach any other significant destination. Some of the equipment and fixtures are not quite modern - but the owners will help you to run the place smoothly. There is no mobile phone reception in the house and its immediate neighbourhood, there is WiFi which may have been faster. These are absolutely minor complaints compared to the real joy of staying in the house.
Thanks to the owners for their very warm welcome to this charming and comfortable house. We loved the piece and quiet, the excellently equipped kitchen and the network of walking paths starting right outside the front door. Would love to come back.
Wie schon vor zwei Jahren haben wir uns wieder mit 4 Erwachsenen in dem gemütlichen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei bestem Wetter konnten wir den entzückenden Garten nutzen und die wunderschöne Umgebung kennen lernen.
Wer Ruhe sucht, aber dennoch nicht auf interessante Ausflüge in naher Umgebung verzichten möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.
Haben die Tage sehr genossen. Das Haus ist wunderbar, ein richtiges Kleinod. In den liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern findet man immer wieder etwas neues zu entdecken, kleine Kleinigkeiten, aber auch schöne Möbel, die zum Faulenzen einladen
Wenn man einen ruhigen Urlaub verbringen möchte ist man hier genau richtig aufgehoben.
