Aeschi is located on a beautiful sun terrace. The place has everything a guest could want. Our house is quiet, slightly above the village with stunning views of the mountains. Just a few steps from the house you can enjoy the views of Lake Thun. In the village itself there in summer and winter (optimal for cheap ski u. Cross-country skiing with the family) many entertainment venues, hiking, walking, biking, swimming, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, etc.

From this prime location you can enjoy countless trips into the mountains and the waters of the whole Bernese Oberland. Lovely comfortable apartment in a fantastic location

The apartment is in a great location, lovely and quiet but within easy reach of nearby towns of Spiez, Thun and Interlaken. We had a car so it was easy to visit different places but it would be possible to get around on public transport. The views from the apartment were excellent with mountains all around and views of Lake Thun from the end of the drive. Christine was very friendly and helpful and the apartment was well equipped with good facilities. We would definitely recommend staying here and are hoping to visit again.

IDYLLIC !

This past June, my husband and I stayed for 10 days at Marcel & Christine’s place in Aeshi (Interlaken) and what a beautiful choice we made. Everything pleased us; first the hosts, they were always ready any time we needed any help (or even if we didn’t); then the apartment, very well appointed and with everything one needed, including washer & dryer (not so common in Europe); after come the views from the property, they were breathtaking and finally the location, at 1 hours drive from a considerable amount of sites and up to 2 hours if you want or have the time to venture a bit further away. We would go back in a heartbeat and have wonderful memories including of our hosts’ family! Thank you Christine and Marcel and hope to see you soon.

Amazing views of Lake Thun and the Niesen Bahn

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Aeschi. It was centrally located between Thun and Interlaken, making it easy to sightsee a variety of places from Berne to Lauterbrunnen. The views out the bedroom windows were amazing and we enjoyed listening to the cow bells in the morning.

The condo was very clean and has been updated recently. The kitchen was quite large and we found it well stocked for cooking some of our own meals. The fold-down couch in the 2nd bedroom was comfortable and it was perfect for our family of 5.

The owner, Christine, was very kind and accommodating, helping direct us to grocery stores and other nearby restaurants. Aeschi is a small town but is a great choice if you want a quiet Swiss village, with walking trails, few crowds, and spectacular views. We traveled to the Interlaken area a few times during our stay and it was a quick drive.

The ceilings in this ground floor apartment were fairly low, so a traveler over 6 ft tall might find that bothersome, but for us it was no problem. We also seemed to have some trouble with the WiFi connection. Our laptop kept dropping the connection. At first, I thought it might be a problem with the laptop but it worked fine at other stops during our trip. It might have been the location we put the laptop (we set it up at the desk in the main bedroom) but you would think it should work there.

All things considered, we found this to be an excellent property in a great location. The cost was reasonable and the owner was very responsive to our correspondence. We would rent here again if we were visiting the Alps. We loved it our week there and have great memories of the trip.

Geweldig appartement op een rustige plaats net buiten Aeschi bei Spiez

Geweldig huis met alles super aardige mensen. Rustig gelegen met vele wandelmogelijkheden vanaf het huis. Leuke terras om buiten te zitten en te eten. En een tuin met trampoline. De waterbak net buiten de voordeur was voor onze kinderen een geweldige afwisseling van de dag. Het Suldtall is geweldig om te wandelen en erg speciaal voor mensen die van rust houden. Verder de Jungfrau regio en het plaatsje Grindelwald zijn erg leuk. Wij hadden een regionalcarte gekocht waar je 10 dagen onbeperkte mogelijkheden hebt om de omgeving met bijna alle bergbanen te verkennen. Wij hopen zeker nog eens terug te gaan. Voor langen mensen is het plafond in het huis wel wat laag. Maar gaf voor mij geen enkel probleem. Kortom geweldige mensen. Keurig ingericht huis. En een geweldig uitzicht. Groet fam. Peursem

The tinkle of cow bells!

The apartment was perfect for our needs and met all the criteria in the announcement. Things we found top class or very practical were its size (900 square feet), the fireplace which was easy to get working, the dishwasher, the modern and very large kitchen, the washer nd dryer which were easy to use nd did not take an eternity to wash and dry the clothes, the full size bath, and the large master bedroom with huge bed and beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and mountains.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, airy and bright.

Not only did the owner leave many brochures of things to do in the region she also popped in from time to time to tell us the best places to go, foods to try, shopping, and local supermarkets. We also invited to share a superb fondue with them one evening.

I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend this place to other travellers.

We found the apartment to be ideally situated to visit many places. We went to Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken, Thun, Gruyères, Mürten for hiking, visiting, chocolate and cheese tasting and a lot more.
