Short-term 1-bed serviced Apartment, fully furnished to a high standard. Owner operated, this spacious apartment (510 sq ft/48 sq m) has sound proofed windows, wooden floors throughout and Central heating. The apartment has a large separate King size bedroom (5ft bed). This bedroom also easily accommodates an extra Single folding bed, and has a build in wardrobe with lots of hanging space, a hairdryer/hair straightening irons plus a spare blanket. Baby cot can be provided on request.

There is a separate lounge/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine/dryer, fridge, cooker/oven plus 4 ring hob etc.

The apartment faces an internal private courtyard, so is particularly quiet for a city centre location. The building also has an elevator and the apartment is on the third floor.

Satellite TV plus Wi-fi is included. Hairdryer, Straightening Irons & Alarm clock provided.

All bed linens/towels (Bath, hand & face towels), and toiletries are included.

Hi there, My name is Mary and I have lived in Dublin for about 20 years, but originally come from the West of Ireland. I married a Dublin man and I haven't looked back! My husband owned this apartment before I met him.

This is our second property on VRBO, we also have a 2-bed apartment (#558046) in the same building, click into it and you can read our many reviews - some of the reviews are even for this 1-bed apartment, as we have accommodated guests here in the past, when the 2-bed has been fully booked.

We don't have any family (as yet!), so I manage the 2 apartments daily and just love it. I have met such wonderful people during the past year from all parts of the World, it is the best job I have ever had!

Why Mary Mullin chose Dublin Southside

Temple bar is the vibrant hub of the city centre, from street entertainment, great quirky stores; to genuinely great food from street markets, wonderful cafes and patisseries, it really has a bit little bit of everything.

I honestly don't believe you could pick a better more central point in the city as a base, and yet this apartment faces onto an internal private courtyard, so the only noise you hear are the bells of Christchurch.

Literally everything is just outside your door, from shops, museums, restaurants, the best cafe's, street markets, theatres etc.

This is a cosy well furnished quiet and extremely comfortable apartment with so much fun on your doorstep, you will inevitably have a blast for your stay!

  • Bathroom is a comfortable size with a full size Tub plus Power shower and WC. All Towels (Bath, hand & face size towels) are provided. Bathmat plus Toilet roll & toiletries are also included.

  • There is one very spacious bedroom, with a King size bed (5ft). The bedroom can also easily accommodate a second single folding bed which we supply with linens when required! The bedroom has fitted wardrobes with plenty of hanging and shelf space. Hangers are also provided. The wardrobe also stores a Hairdryer, Hair straightening irons & an extra blanket. Radio/alarm clock is also provided. All Bed linens are provided and changed weekly. There are 2 bed side lockers and bed side lamps in the bedroom.

Quiet apartment in the middle of Temple Bar

We stayed in Mary's apartment for 3 nights. She was able to meet us early to check us in, as the place was empty the night before. We really appreciated this after a long night of travel.

My first impressions of the apartment was how clean and well-equipped it was. It has everything you need. It's not a huge apartment, but by city standards it's appropriate. We were traveling with our teenage son, so there were two beds in the bedroom (a king size and a twin) Both beds were very comfortable.

The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice having the washer/dryer. I did two small loads of wash during our stay. It is a washer/dryer combo unit. Mary explained how to use it, and the first time I did it right, but I must have pressed something different the second time. Be sure you understand how to use it. I was tired when we arrived, so I'm certain I missed something.

Bathroom is small, but appropriate for a city apartment. The shower worked great. Always hot water. Good pressure.

The apartment is located on the 3rd floor and is extremely quiet. It was very secure. We took the stairs, but there is an elevator. Bedroom located by interior courtyard so no noise whatsoever.

The location can't be beat. Cow's Lane is a pedestrian street and Queen of Tarts is right there. This is a must for anyone traveling to Dublin. Bus stops 2 minutes in either direction that will take you anywhere in Dublin.

Piglet Wine bar, also on Cow's Lane, was a wonderful little place to get a glass of wine. Had we had more time, I would have loved to have dinner there.

Our favorite restaurant was Il Vicoletto. Make a reservation. Yes, it's Italian, but Dublin is so much more than fish & chips. Right around the corner is Darkey Kelly's - great place for dinner followed by trad sessions.

8 minute walk to Trinity College and Grafton Street. Across the street from Dublin Castle. 15 minute bus ride to Kilmainham Gaol and the IMMA.

I can't say enough about the apartment. Mary's response time was lightening fast and she was a pleasure to work with.

PERFECT STAY AND LOCATION!!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our trip. The location is walking distance to almost everything! We fit 3 people in the apartment very comfortably. There is so much great food and nightlife just steps away. Mary is so friendly and helpful. She emailed during our stay to see if we needed extra towels or anything else. She had some treats waiting for us upon arrival. It was just perfect! I would book this apartment again and recommend it to everyone!! FYI, be sure to go to Queen of Tarts just downstairs from the apartment. Sláinte!

Wonderful flat right in the middle of everything!!

Mary is lovely and accommodating and the flat is wonderful!

Is is perfectly located. We could walk to everything!

The kitchen is perfect for light breakfasts and tea. The flat itself was comfortable for the 3 of us, myself and my 20 year old twins.

The beds are comfortable. The bath is a full tub shower.

I highly recommend staying here.

This is the place to rent

Mary's place is perfect! Walking distance to everything you need- bars, restaurants, the sights. The apartment was quiet, clean and affordable. Mary was a great host- very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended.

WONDERFUL APARTMENT IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION

We stayed in this lovely apartment several years' ago and we couldn't wait to return. It is immaculately clean, attractive, comfortable, spacious, well maintained and extremely well equipped. As many others have said, the owner, Mary Mullins, is an outstanding host. She simply radiates genuine warmth, care and humour. Nothing is too much trouble and she is genuinely keen to ensuring her guests have a wonderful stay. We love the location, being on the edge of Temple Bar, which makes it easy to see the vast majority of Dublin's many sights of interest by foot. In addition, there are lots of excellent pubs, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, etc nearby. Despite the central location, the apartment is quiet and the bed is extremely comfortable, so we slept very well. We look forward to our next visit to Dublin and we wouldn't stay anywhere other than in one of Mary's apartments.

Beautiful apartment in a prime location

We visited Dublin for a few days in december and we were so happy about this beautiful apartment in a prime location. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures show. It is SO cozy and you have everything you need for a really nice trip. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. Although absolutely centrally located, it was very calm.

Outside, everything you need, is nearby. A cafe with delicious cakes...a wine bar...a bakery...a small supermarket...a bus-stop...everything in front of the door...Christ Church, the Liffey, all pubs of Temple Bar, shopping streets, so many other sights and attractions just a few footsteps away...

Mary (the owner) was very friendly and helpful, from the first beginning of (email-)contact, during the stay and afterwards...Everything was really uncomplicated.

We would definitely recommend this apartment!! - Much better: now we know where we can stay while our next Dublin vacations...

The apartment building sits on the famous 'Cows Lane', which is a pedestrian street located in the 'Old city, Cultural Quarter' of Temple bar, and looks across the road to Dublin Castle.

The cultural quarter is the quieter end of Temple bar so there are no bars or nightclubs located on the lane. Instead it hosts a wonderful array of book, antique and garden shops. And when you feel like a coffee or afternoon treat, you can visit 'Queen of Tarts' - the most wonderful cafe and patisserie in the city centre!

At the bottom of Cows Lane sits the first theatre ever built in Dublin; Smock alley Theatre was built in 1662 and hosts a varied artistic programme of Theatre, Comedy, Music and Dance.

Found outdoors on Cows Lane each Saturday is the largest designer market in Dublin, offering one off original designs. The market sells everything from silk custom made underwear to art prints, funky clothing and jewellery!

The apartment is truly in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Dublin Castle, Trinity College, Guinness Brewery, Christchurch, Grafton street and St Stephens Green.
