Darling Cottage in the Garden District

We loved the cozy atmosphere of the rental, everything was clean and comfy. It was a great property for my mom who doesn't do steps well and the town is about as wonderful as they come!

We're already looking forward to our next visit!

We are a family of five, two adults with three children, and found the accommodations to be exactly as advertised. The space was perfect as the upstairs loft area has a separate tv area which is great for the kids, with the Master bedroom in the main floor. The property location is second to none and we really enjoyed being able to walk within a comfortable distance to the beach, restaurants and local shopping. As others have mentioned the property is original in many regards and could use a Reno - this is why I offered a 4/5 rating. However, this aspect would not prevent me from booking again and I would recommend the property to there based on the superb location and affordable price. Many thanks!

We absolutely loved our stay! We stayed here for three days while we visited Silverwood and loved it. The house was very clean and had every amenity we could want. We were also very close to downtown and some very good restaurants. Perfect little house for us and we will definitely stay here again.

The home is well located to many enjoyable attractions around the city and lake. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. The home has two really comfortable beds, great storage in the bedrooms, a lovely living room area with a nice sized TV and wonderful couch. The kitchen is complete and we did do quite a bit of cooking. The laundry is very handy with a generously sized washer and dryer. (Important if you are going to the beach and playing in the lake!) We were happy to have the air conditioner on the still days. The back yard is private and has a super nice picnic table with umbrella, barbecue, and fenced yard. We also liked the parking choices - on and off the street. We would definitely go back,

The cottage is conveniently located near the lake, shops and dining. It functioned for the 3 of us, but honestly it good do with some updating. The vinyl wallpaper at the head of the tub had to be wiped down after each shower to keep water from spilling onto the floor....some tile there would have been nice. My daughter had the upstairs bedroom and said it was very warm. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals in, but the cabinets and drawers did stick. This property has a ton of potential. It is ashamed someone hasn't updated the bath and kitchen.
