Beautiful place and lovely grounds.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay...very beautiful surroundings. The dogs from across the way came to visit. Looked up the entire history on Meadowburn Farm and was so enlightened by the stories.
The cutest little red farmhouse in all the land!
We had a wonderful stay. The home and grounds are lovely. Listening to the birds in the morning and the stillness of the night made our sleeping time some of the soundest we’ve had in years. When the sun comes up the world is alive. With clean fresh air, you’ll feel invigorated! If you must have a large bathroom and shower - this may not be the place for you- it’s a guest farm house. So it’s small, but once you learn to navigate it (we have a 5 year old- so sharing a tiny bathroom and taking turns was new) you’ll find that it’s a minor inconvenience. The property and grounds are one of the most beautifully landscaped we have ever seen. Do ask permission to enter the gardens- there is a much much larger family home on the property and the gardens belong to the family. From the register you’ll see that others have held weddings in these gardens in the past- they are jaw dropping beautiful and women extensive. The effort to create and maintain something this large and colorful must be a Herculean task.
You do need to pay attention to where to park- it’s a second gravel driveway that is just to the left of a driveway that would appear to go to the front of the house-
Bottom line- this one is a keeper! We would love to come back in the future and enjoy the wonderful farm house and the hospitality of a gracious host. This was a 5 star experience for our little family.
Charming, comfortable and clean!
Can't say enough great things about our stay at the Red House. Super clean, exceptionally spacious, and the fire pit was a huge hit for marshmallows. Surrounding property is absolutely beautiful and serene. Kitchen was more than sufficient for cooking all meals, huge table a nice touch for games and a family meal. Would 100% stay again - already planning next year!
Perfect fall weekend getaway
Loved everything about the cozy house ;the garden ; the pig and cows on the farm. We had a great time apple picking nearby. We got to see a ridding school and chase dogs ride by. And to top this off I got to pick my birthday bouquet on our last day. Fantastic countryside experience!
Super comfy and friendly atmosphere!!!
We stayed in the Red House, and I must say, the beds are truly fantastic. Exploring the property was great fun, as the gardens are lovely and the farmdogs are exceptionally nice! Met some nice cows, as well, and tried some of the cheese from said cows that the farm provides to a nearby restaurant, which was delicious!!! My girlfriend and I reside in a city, so this was a relaxing switch-up.
Peaceful and comfortable
There were six of us that stayed here comfortably. We were meeting my daughter and her boyfriend, who are hiking the Appalachian Trail. This house was three minutes from the trail head. The home, the gardens, everything was elegant, peaceful, and comfortable. The staff was attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend Meadowburn Farms.
Located just 12 minutes from Mountain Creek, and 15 minutes from Mt. Peter, The Red House is the perfect spot for those interested in the many outdoor winter recreation activities the area has to offer, including skiiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snow tubing, snow shoeing, and sleigh rides.
The Red House is also located just 10 minutes Warwick, NY and 20 minutes from the arts and crafts village of Sugar Loaf, NY. These charming towns are home to boutique shops, artist studios, and merchants selling locally produced products- perfect for finding unique holiday gifts!
