Swan Shores Lodge offers magnificent water views and is a one of a kind square log home with 200 feet of privacy on pristine Swan Lake. This square log home was architecturally designed to take advantage of the expansive lake and mountain views. The home his multi levels with spectacular lake views from every room. 7 bedrooms 6.5 baths and 6500 sq feet makes this home the perfect gathering place for a family vacation.

When sending us an inquiry please tell us a little bit about yourself and the purpose of the stay. We ask that you please read through the entire listing before booking on line. Maximum Occupancy is 12 guests (NO EXCEPTIONS). Also, re-confirm the number of adults and ages of all children as VRBO has the default set at 2 adults.

The home sits on one acre of privacy in a park-like setting and is sheltered by cedar trees. Walk through the front door of this impeccably maintained home with open great room floor plan, ideal for entertaining. Our home has been designer decorated with beautiful upscale nautical-style furnishings and designer theme touches and has wood floors throughout. This is true luxury vacation home that is considered to be one of the finest homes in the Flathead Valley.

Main Floor: The master bedroom is located on the main floor and features a king size bed a Jacuzzi tub and walk in shower is in the master bath, a second guest bedroom is located on the main floor with queen size bed and full size bath room with another walk in shower located next to this bedroom. A large gourmet kitchen features every small appliance imaginable, top of the line Monogram stainless steel double oven, microwave and a six burner gas range, warming drawer dishwasher and compactor. The dining area has a large dining table with seating for 12 guests, a nice breakfast bar is wide an open for family entertaining. Also, on the main floor is a half bathroom and large laundry area with large capacity washer and dryer, this area also serves as a mud room.

Second floor: Two guest bedrooms with two full size bathrooms are located on the upper level with a walkway bridge that separates the two bedrooms and baths providing really nice privacy. Both bedrooms are very spacious one bedroom has a queen size bed the other has two queen beds. Both bedrooms have larger dormer window seats.

Lower Level The 5th and 6th bedroom are both located on the lower level of the house. The 5th bedroom has a unique speed boat trundle bed that opens to make two twin beds. The 6th bedroom is new for 2016 with a queen size bed and adjoining bathroom. Also on the lower level is a large game room with pool table and a private office set up for those that need keep in touch with work, the lower level also features a fabulous home theater room with ten recliner seats.

The 7th bedroom is through the breezeway and located over the garage, with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

For planning sleeping capacity the bedroom layout at Swan Shores Lodge is as follows:

#3 Bedroom upper level – 2 Queen size beds

* A quick clean and laundry is included in the rate.

*Arrival & Departure Times: Arrival Time is 5:00PM / Departure Time is 10:00AM which are the times shown on the rental contract and the booking confirmation receipt. Reservations made through the VRBO/HomeAway system automatically shows a default time that is not correct. Time change option $50.00/hr for early and late check out (not available months of June, July and August or on back to back stays).

Minimum Stay Requirements:

*7 night minimum stay (Saturday to Saturday Only) throughout the year

* Maximum Occupancy = 12 people (No Exceptions)

Cancellation Policy: No reservation holds are permitted. Once the property has been taken off the rental market with the calendar blocked and a booking confirmation receipt sent the terms of the cancellation policy will apply to all reservations. No refunds on previously paid deposits. Refunds will only be made if the property can be rebooked for the same reservation period and price. Refunds are based on any alternative revenue received, less the 25% cancellation fee (the initial deposit amount paid at time of booking). Any such refunds will only be made once we have actually received the replacement reservation. Security deposits are fully refundable. Rarely are we able to rebook a stay so it is highly recommended that guests purchase Trip Insurance should there be any unforeseen events that may require a cancellation.

My husband and I manage our own vacation homes and do business under the name of Vacation Holdings. We are a trusted member of the Vacation Rental Industry and a member of the Professional Vacation Rental Association. We have been in business for over 10 years and have the highest integrity. We are not a management company these are all of our own properties. This enables us to describe the home in great detail. I am an interior designer so all of our homes have been designer decorated by the design arm of our company. In addition all of our vacation homes are maintained by a caretaker so that the property is well cared for and our guests are given individual attention. I respond to inquiries within 10 minutes of submission or give us a call as we are super easy to reach. We try hard to exceed our guests expectations!

Why Lisa Strauss - Swan Shores Lodge chose Flathead Lake

We live full time in the San Juan Islands in the State of Washington and choose Montana because of its close proximity. We started in Whitefish and narrowed our search to the Flathead Valley as we were looking for a lakefront home. We settled on Swan Lake because it was less populated and the views of the Swan Mountains. Swan Shores Lodge was really an ugly duckling the bedrooms were painted shocking pink and baby blue. We were initially not wild about the house because most log homes are stained in a rustic brown whereas this one was stained in a dove gray. It needed some serious updating but the lakefront location and views were just magnificent. Fortunately, we had some vision and could see the potential with some updating and interior design touches. I decided to design around the dove grey stain, so instead of following a traditional rustic we went with a nautical theme and it worked. The end result is we ended up with a totally unique lakefront vacation home that is not like anything else you will find in the State of Montana.

What makes this estate unique

Lakefront, Lakefront, being on Swan Lake which is a smaller lake that does not have a great deal of boat traffic. Winter months the views of the Swan Mountains are breathtaking! Just about every bedroom has a separate or private bathroom!

Very comfortable home with great location

Swan Shores Lodge is a thoughtfully conceived and very well stocked vacation retreat (our French son-in-law was delighted to find and use a crepe maker in preparing breakfast one morning) whose location is ideal. Our family of ten appreciated the calm and beauty of Swan Lake and the views of the nearby Swan Range from the house's water-facing decks, as well as time spent with our grandchildren in the water and on the dock and grassy shoreline area. Rides in the kayaks were fun, and we all enjoyed being able to eat at outside tables large enough for our whole family. A treat at the end of the single rainy day of our week was the appearance over the lake of a brilliant, sustained rainbow that was the best any of us had ever seen. We had hoped to watch all three episodes of our set of Lord of the Rings in the home theater, which everyone agreed was awesome, but found time only for the first. Big Fork with its playhouse and Glacier Park were a short drive away, and an afternoon on Big Mountain at Whitefish was also an easy and enjoyable trip for our family. The house with equipment for almost any activity along with the wonders of the surrounding area provided many more vacation opportunities than we were able to take advantage of. If you can, plan to stay for two weeks.

Awesome home!! My husband and 4 other couples stayed here in June. The house is not lacking for anything. Beautiful views throughout the house and on the deck. Hard to do anything but enjoy...The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need, with lots of extras. It was actually fun to prepare meals. Theater room was a great way to wind down every evening. Pool table, ping pong table, horseshoes, bikes, and kayaks were a few of the activites provided. You can't go wrong with this beautiful home.
