3 B/r 2 Bath House On A Gently Sloping Waterfront Lot With Views Of The Lake.
About Neil Fitchett
My grandfather purchased this property in 1953 and built the house. It's been a vacation spot for our entire family now going into the 4th generation.
Neil Fitchett purchased this Cottage in 1953
Why Neil Fitchett chose New Milford
Easy living, beautiful lake side views and access to sandy beach next door. Only 3 miles to stores and downtown New Milford. Wonderful neighbors and a great community.
What makes this Cottage unique
The property is actually 1.5 lots so the waterfront is extra wide. Unlike many waterfront properties on the lake, this lot is a gentle easy slope down to the water with mowed lawn and lots of room for your water toys or just hanging out in the sun or shade.

This house is very quiet, comfortable and clean. We were here for a week and enjoyed the lake and being in the country. Shopping is nearby. There are many restaurants also nearby.
The owners were very gracious and kept in touch to be sure things were going okay.
This is a wonderful place to relax.
Relaxing lakeside retreat
We had a great time at Neil's house that had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Any questions were handled perfectly. The view was fantastic, there's plenty of shade for those that need it, and the lake was just a few steps down a stone path, complete with a dock and stairs into the water. Hope to stay again sometime in the future!
Neil was very helpful during and after the renting process.
I would rent from this gentleman again
Great lakeside getaway
I wanted a nice quiet long weekend to fish and rest and that’s exactly what I got. A quaint clean cabin w a homey feel and comfortable setting is what you’ll find here.
Perfect family lakefront spot
Great location right on the lake. Beautiful views, directly next door to the shared community beach. Our grandkids and the rest of our family thought we were in heaven. House is stocked as if we were at home. All of the people we came in contact with from the community were just wonderful. Stores and restaurants are a short drive away. We are very much looking forward to returning next year.
Clean and cozy
Little tuff getting a boat trailer in and out ,however doable .
Great location , little beach next door was great for entertaining kids.
House was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable vacation.
IF you are there for fishing, you might want to come earlier in the season or later because of the wake boats riding up and down the cove, ( instead of the main lake), with no regard to boats tied to docks making them thrash and bang against the docks..I am very surprised the locals don't do something about this, as they play very loud music till sometimes 10 pm while doing this.... overall we did enjoy our stay at Candlewood Springs and most likely come back.
The Elephants Trunk Flea market featured on TV's "Flea Market Flip" is only about 4 miles away from the house on Rt 7 / Rt 202 south toward Danbury. One of the Northeast's largest flea markets. Occurs every Sunday morning till around 1 PM.
