beautiful room, clean and every thing we needed.
great stay recommend it to friends and family.
Our stay has been fantastic. The place was clean, beautiful, historical; just amazing. The personal touches from the owners were very impressive such as the fresh ground coffee, beautiful chocolate, the fresh flowers. We would highly recommend.
Thankyou Mirella, it was great to host you, see you both again some time soon,

Carrick a cracker
Beautiful accomodation, you could tell a lot of thought and detail had gone into preparing and decorating this property. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was everything we needed for our overnight stay. Carrick is really close to lots of fabulous places to eat and shops, which meant neither of us had to be the designated driver. After dinner we lit a cosy fire in the bedroom fireplace, which was delightful. Unfortunately we didn’t get time to light the one in the bathroom, that would have been wonderful while having a bath in the enormous bathtub. We were very comfortable and would recommend to anyone wanting a luxurious night or two away.
Wow, thankyou so much for that great review, glad you had a fab time up here in the Mac Ranges.

Staying at Carrick is simply a home base for you to experience the myriad of incredible offerings here in the Macedon Ranges. To help plan your stay, here's a few ideas on where to go in Kyneton (and surrounds).
Shop Till You Drop
In Kyneton alone there are numerous galleries, homeware shops. You'll find Australia's largest collection of authentic Persian Rugs, some incredible restaurants (two with Chef's Hats), great pubs, cafes, two nurseries, a vintage record store and lots more.
Learn Something New
Now incredibly popular are Kyneton's creative workshops. Sign up for a three-day traditional stool making course right up to an eight-day Windsor chairmaking course at Rundell & Rundell, or learn to make a true English pork pie at the Piper St Food Co. Just out of town there's ceramic homewares workshops at Pom-me-granite. For love birds you can make your own pair of silver rings or take a beginners course in lead light creations at a local gallery.
The Macedon Ranges is home to over 40 wineries. You may have never heard about them, but this region punches above its weight, with chardonnay and pinot noir (two cool climate wines), that do particularly well up here.
Unlike the Yarra Valley and Mornington where wineries line up back to back, the Macedon Ranges wineries are spread out, so chose your route and taste some of the best wines in the country, right here. Passing Clouds, over near Daylesford, does a great lunch Friday to Monday, but you must book.
Things to Do Near Kyneton
Just a short drive is Daylesford, and Hepburn Springs, known for its spa treatments; historic Hanging Rock; Holgate Brewery at Woodend; the Wombat State Forest (home to mountain bike trails); and the Radio Springs Hotel in Lyonville (a classic country pub offering great craft beer, fine wines and a terrific menu).
