Renovated Victorian Era House Convenient to Historic District

This owner-occupied B&B, recently renovated, received a Historic Preservation Award for 2016 from the Historic Savannah Foundation. It’s a high-end, glamorous mix of original architectural details, antique and contemporary, with eye-catching furniture, paintings, photographs and illustrations throughout. The “Savannah glamour” home has a kitchen decked out with modern finishes, as well as the bathrooms. Bedrooms have “cushy” beds with luscious linens. It’s an ideal backdrop for wedding photos and a perfect spot for a bride to get dressed.

This beautiful home is situated in the eclectic Starland District, an area the New York Times called the “hottest neighborhood in Savannah,” with boutiques, galleries and restaurants popping up daily.

The latest addition to the area’s restaurant scene is The Vault, a short stroll down 38th to Bull Street. Cotton and Rye, nearby on Habersham Street is another new gem that joins the roster with Elizabeth’s on 37th, Back in the Day Bakery and the Starland Café and many more.

Concordia House is also just blocks away from new design and fashion boutiques such as Nola Jane, Urban Poppy and Emily McCarthy, Starlandia Art Supplies, art galleries, consignment shops and a glass blowing studio.

The owner’s suite is separated from guest quarters for privacy and is on the premises.

Weekday rates may be based on # of bedrooms used so please send an inquiry for a quote based on your specific needs.

Linens are provided (just like a hotel) as well as coffee & continental breakfast items (granola bars, cereal bars and/or local baked goods)

Busy time periods such as October, March and April will require 3 night stays during weekends.

Wonderful, clean, thoughtful, spacious

Loved the feel! Very clean and well kept. Great for the price-very thoughtful owners. We opened the fridge and there was already plenty of snacks and drinks waiting. Loved it all!

Really nice house near many wonderful sites - awesome views.

We really enjoyed our stay in Savannah. For this trip there were 7 adults. The house has three "real" bedrooms and one small room with a fold away bed. The upstairs has two full baths that are small, but fully functional with a small half bath down stairs. It would have been nice to have door locks on the bathrooms and bedrooms, but there were none. It has an nice kitchen with almost everything you would need to prepare a meal. We arrived to find half the fridge space already in use. For 7 folks planning to prepare breakfast and a few other meals it made it a challenge to store all our groceries. It would have also been nice to have an outside grill. If the owner was occupying the house, we never heard or seen them. If we had we would have invited them to our meals...It's just the right thing to do...good 'ole Southern hospitality. :) Even though Savannah has a "quite time" from 9pm till 7am or something like that...if you are a light sleeper carry some ear plugs. You will need them due to the road noise (sirens, loud cars, motorcycles etc). As for the house, from room to room it's pretty much sound proof so you only have to worry about external noises. All in all a nice place to stay and relax. Oh, one other fun fact...while there a film crew appears one morning and filmed a scene on the front porch as we watched from inside the house. It was interesting to see the process. How many folks can say, hey I was in that house when they filmed that scene?

Owner's Response: Future guests may wish to know there actually are locks on the bedroom and bathroom doors, they are small pins by the knobs. We do leave some welcome breakfast food for each guest and the items in the full size refrigerator were meant for this guest to use so we are sorry to hear they found the items to be in the way. There will not be a barbecue here but this is in a fabulous city location surrounded by great restaurants like the The Vault and Elizabeth's on 37th.

A magazine worthy home!

This home was comfortable and beautifully decorated with a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary. We loved all of the original art adorning the walls and the fully updated kitchen. There's even a commercial ice maker installed under the counter. The beds were comfortable also. The house is centrally located so downtown and midtown Savsnnah are a quick drive. The Kroger grocery store was walking distance for us. The home is close enough to train tracks that you can hear the train whistling by at night, but it doesn't come thru often. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for spacious, stylish, centrally located lodging.

Owner's Response: Thank you! This home has indeed been featured in more than one magazine including Savannah Magazine. It might be worth noting that the train has a set schedule and never passes through during the night technically but it does have a very early morning pass through at 6:30am, which can be heard by light sleepers from many homes in the downtown area, including both Victorian and Historic District areas of Savannah where many tourists stay. Our white noise machines are helpful so that some people can snooze right through that distant train noise but city life isn't entirely quiet and travelers often are more sensitive than residents who are accustomed to those sounds.

Breathtaking house!

We could not have asked for a better location for our bachelorette party (or any group get-together). I am pretty sure this is the most beautifully decorated home I've ever been in. The owner has used a really cool combination of antique & modern finishes to create a stunning space. We also thought all the beds (including the cot) we very comfortable. We decided to walk to Back in the Day bakery for breakfast one day, and it was also truly amazing. I highly recommend doing that as a good way to see the neighborhood and try some great local food.

The street parking was free and readily available - just be sure to read the street sweeping signs. Each of the nearby streets had different sweeping days, so it was easy to find one where we could park on the days we were in town right across the street from the house.

We decided not to drive much at all in the busier part of downtown, because parking there was tough. Uber and Lift were both easy and cheap options. We also saw that there was a free bus near the house that we didn't take advantage of.

We did hear the train blasting their horn mid-morning Saturday, so I guess if you're trying to sleep all day it would be a problem, but it didn't bother us.

If I ever go back to Savannah, I will definitely stay here again.
