Originally from Owensboro, KY, we made our way to FL over 9 years ago. We are local, which makes our property easy access if something were not to be to your liking. We look forward to sharing our hard work/remodel with you!
Lyndsay and Terrance Sterett purchased this house in 2014
Literally Key West Low-Key living at its finest here in New Port Richey - close to a lot of attractions and beaches, but we've noticed, most people don't want to leave the house!
The original character of this house makes it one of a kind! Attention to detail, wood work, and a coastal feel rejuvenated this property beyond belief.
This house is in a great location. Not far from Tampa about 30 minutes! This house was the perfect size for me and my family. The house is decorated very nicely and was very clean, definitely made us feel like we were on a tropical vacation . The pool area is really nice to hang out. The dock was perfect for fishing and watching the all the boats pass by (Wind Song is very close by to rent a boat). We love the fact that the neighbors were so friendly and informative. The private beach is nice.
Tarpon Springs is about 5 miles away south on rt 19 and is a must see, plenty of deals. There are shops, restaurants and excursions and only $5 to park all day. There is a fresh fish market "holiday seafood" and has good fish and very reasonable prices. If you are looking for outdoor mini golf, there is Congo River about 3 miles north on Rt 19 . Looking for great BBQ, there is Robert's Smokin BBQ "next to Taste of Philly", Go north on Rt 19 it's across the road from Rum River in a red shack, awesome food. Very reasonable prices and very nice people. Rum River and Catches are a great place too. Main street has a nice ice cream shop, plenty of choices. There is a nice park right behind the ice cream shop with lots to do. Main street also has some night life. Looking for cheap local places to have a couple of drinks, there is a place called the dive bar and it was very, very reasonable.
We did not get to do everything we wanted to do so we will definitely come back and stay here. The people are so friendly just ask and they are willing to help.
I live locally, and was having family come into town. Our houses are not big enough to accommodate so, we rented this gem! It was clean, well decorated, and very modern. I cooked, has everything I needed in the kitchen. Pool was nice to cool off, great patio outside to relax.
Also, the owners were very prompt getting me in and getting my deposit back! We had a very pleasant experience and would recommend this home to anyone!
This property with awesome! It is in a great location, right on the water, and with a great pool and hot tub. The house is wonderfully updated and provides everything that you need in a VRBO property. The bedrooms offer plenty of privacy and one bedroom is completely separate with a bathroom and mini fridge. Again the house has everything that you need both inside and out. We will schedule our next vacation back to the Tampa area around the availability of this house!
I really love this house everything you need, starting from kitchen supplies to backyard entertainment. House is very clean. My husband loved the deck for fishing especially when he saw the house provided buckets to store his live bait. I highly recommend this house for a nice and peaceful family vacation. Owners are wonderful. I will be definitely renting this house again in the future. I'd rather pay what I paid for a day then renting a hotel room for a more expensive price and not even have 1/3 of the amenities this house has! I give this 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a very relaxing stay at this beach house. The listing was accurate. The property was clean. The owners provided prompt service with a few questions we had. We would definitely come back without a question. We cooked in and grilled out most nights (the grill is really nice) and we went to Catches Restaurant which was great. We traveled to Honeymoon beach (about a 25 min drive) to go to the beach 2 days which was really nice but there is free private beach access only 3 min away if you choose that. We took a pontoon boat ride out to a secluded beach island which was really fun. The pool and hot tub were awesome and we caught a number of fish (catfish, stingray) off of the back dock.
This was our first time using a home rental service and I will definitely be doing it again thanks to the wonderful experience we had at "It's a Shore Thing". We stayed here with another couple and our three small children. After some "child-proofing", this truly felt like "our home". The house is clean, comfortable and well-stocked with all of the basics needed to cook, grill, and enjoy all the property has to offer. You can't beat the location of this home. Everything is a quick jump on US 19. We took a trip to nearby landmark Weeki Wachee Springs, which is a short 30 minute drive. There's a Publix within walking distance, as well as plenty of restaurants. The private beach is beautiful and quiet. There's a boat rental place right down the street -- I recommend a pontoon and checking out the nearby sandbar, just about a 45 min. boat ride away -- it was HEAVEN! You could easily spend every day there. Our kids loved the pool and the family-friendly, open-style kitchen. They played, while we enjoyed home-cooked meals every night. You can watch the sun set while fishing off the end of the dock. The owners reply quickly and make the stay easy and stress-free. They provide all you need to know on arrival and departure. I can't say enough about this place -- we can't wait to go back!
Close to everything! Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks/Antique Shops, Clearwater Beach, Honeymoon Island, and Caladesi Island to speand the day. Charter Boats out of the River, Pontoon/JetSki and Kayak Rentals are just a skip down the canal. Wiregrass/Citrus Park Mall and Tampa Premium Outlets are less than 20 miles. Tampa Museums, Theatres, and Sporting Events/Concerts are within 45 minutes. Lots to do - but you may decide to just relax by the pool instead!
