Originally from Owensboro, KY, we made our way to FL over 9 years ago. We are local, which makes our property easy access if something were not to be to your liking. We look forward to sharing our hard work/remodel with you!
Lyndsay and Terrance Sterett purchased this house in 2014
Literally Key West Low-Key living at its finest here in New Port Richey - close to a lot of attractions and beaches, but we've noticed, most people don't want to leave the house!
The original character of this house makes it one of a kind! Attention to detail, wood work, and a coastal feel rejuvenated this property beyond belief.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and the weather was near perfect. The house had been recently remodeled and every room was very nicely done. We appreciated the fact that EVERYTHING we needed was there. We brought in some food and that was all we needed to enjoy this gorgeous house. There are quite a number of restaurants and shops nearby with easy access to all.My wife loved the pool and spa just outside the back door and the large canal and boat dock. The beach was very nice. Not crowded and well kept. The sunsets were amazing. We would highly recommend this fantastic retreat to anyone who loves to relax and enjoy such a beautiful get-away.
What a fantastic house. It is beautifuly decorated and from the moment you arrive you feel at home.
The pool and spa are fabulous and we even saw dolphins swim past
Hellas Greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs is worth a visit, especially the pastry shop next door. The Dali museum in St Petersburg is a must visit!
Great, prompt communication from the owner. Would highly recommend this property.
This house was an easy drive from the Tampa Airport and was perfect for our trip away from Snow. Nicely updated and tropically decorated; has everything you need to cook, etc. The main road (19) has every dining and shopping option you need. The owners are very responsive and helpful.
The private beach was uncrowded and had BBQ Grills and covered tables. We were there mid-week and never saw more than 10 people there - seriously private.
One nice feature of the home is the separate Suite down by the pool, the kids stayed there and we were up in the Master. Nice to have all that space.
We enjoyed the evenings by the water and even saw a Dolphin cruise through the canal. The evenings are so quiet we only used the patio speakers once – didn’t want the music to disturb anyone. We did use the Hot Tub almost every night.
The included WiFi worked great and we did turn on the TV once to watch the NFL playoff games in Hi-Def.
As for what to do… We visited a Safari place that was 45 min away and it was the highlight of the trip. http://girafferanch.com/visit. We fed the Lemurs but should’ve paid to feed the Rhino; who knew they had such a personality.
We like to explore nature preserves and there was no shortage of hikes close by (bring cash for $2 fees). Werner-Boyce was a favorite.
Also check out Tarpon Springs for souvenir shopping, eats, and a crazy good pastry shop. The Osprey and Manatee’s were hanging out close by at Craig Park/Spring Bayou.
Had a great trip and owners were very responsive I mean with 1 minute. House is beautiful and the hot tub is great. To top off our trip Clemson won the national championship.
My wife and I both really enjoyed our stay here. The place is nicely remodeled from top to bottom and we found the owner to be responsive to our questions. Besides the beautiful house in which to hang out, we really enjoyed having access to the private beach that is part of the vacation rental, too. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to others, and we would consider returning with our family and staying here again.
This house is in a great location. Not far from Tampa about 30 minutes! This house was the perfect size for me and my family. The house is decorated very nicely and was very clean, definitely made us feel like we were on a tropical vacation . The pool area is really nice to hang out. The dock was perfect for fishing and watching the all the boats pass by (Wind Song is very close by to rent a boat). We love the fact that the neighbors were so friendly and informative. The private beach is nice.
Tarpon Springs is about 5 miles away south on rt 19 and is a must see, plenty of deals. There are shops, restaurants and excursions and only $5 to park all day. There is a fresh fish market "holiday seafood" and has good fish and very reasonable prices. If you are looking for outdoor mini golf, there is Congo River about 3 miles north on Rt 19 . Looking for great BBQ, there is Robert's Smokin BBQ "next to Taste of Philly", Go north on Rt 19 it's across the road from Rum River in a red shack, awesome food. Very reasonable prices and very nice people. Rum River and Catches are a great place too. Main street has a nice ice cream shop, plenty of choices. There is a nice park right behind the ice cream shop with lots to do. Main street also has some night life. Looking for cheap local places to have a couple of drinks, there is a place called the dive bar and it was very, very reasonable.
We did not get to do everything we wanted to do so we will definitely come back and stay here. The people are so friendly just ask and they are willing to help.
