Overview

About the property

Kezar Lake 5BR, 4Bath home tastefully decorated, perfect for family gatherings

When visitors come to see us on Kezar Lake, their jaw drops at the exquisite, natural setting where you truly can get away from it all. Our dock is in front of our house where swimming, fishing, kayaking and boating is all at your fingertips. Our home has all the amenities you could wish for, such as a chef's kitchen, a gracious fireplace, cozy bedrooms, a giant basement playroom.

There are numerous "gathering areas" in the house. The large but cozy living room is centered around a mighty fieldstone fireplace. In the sunporch, overlooking the lake and the White Mountains, there is a smaller sitting area. Outside, there is a large deck with comfortable seating for many overlooking the lake and the White mountains.

There are also multiple dining areas in the house. The kitchen area has a large teak table that seats 8-10 people. In the sunporch, a second dining area seats 8-10 people depending on how many leaves are in the table. On the deck, there is a teak table that seats 6-8 people.

The house has 5 bedrooms and 4 baths as follows :

1) First floor master bedroom with King bed with en-suite bath

2) First floor bedroom with Queen bed with adjacent full bath

3) Second Floor bedroom with Two Queen beds and crib with bath in hallway shared with BR #4

4) Second Floor bedroom with Two Single beds with bath in hallway shared with BR #3

5) Basement bedroom with Double bed with adjacent full bath

In addition, here are two comfortable day beds in the basement playroom.

The kitchen is a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen. Appliances include a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Aga stove, Miele dishwasher, Fisher-Paykel drawer dishwasher, expresso/cappucino machine, KitchenAid mixer, trash compactor and all the necessary pots, pans and accessories.

The stereo system in the living room has the usual CD, DVD etc, and we have numerous DVD’s for adults and children for a rainy day. The stereo system in the living room is a Bose but there is also a bluetooth receiver on the system so you can stream your music from Pandora, Spotify, or your phone library. We just installed cable TV with Time Warner. There is wireless internet that reaches most of the house – there is NO password.

There is a new outdoor shower on the front of the house overlooking the lake. Enjoy!

There are 15 or so beach towels at the house so don’t feel like you need to bring any. There are 4 blue folding beach chairs in the garage or down at the kayak rack.

All of the Westways 100+ acre property is common property with the exception of a small parcel around each house. So feel free to explore the property. All of the docks are common although it is expected that you will use the dock out front. There is an old rec hall with two old time bowling alleys that are very cool and not to be missed. The pins are set manually and there is a great ball return system.

Wood is in the garage, kindling is by the fireplace or in the basement room. Gas grill is on porch. Feel free to use ping pong, foosball and anything you see. Feel free to use the food staples that are there and anything in the cupboard.

At the dock in front of the house, there are:

1) Two single kayaks

2) Two paddleboards

Life jackets and various noodles and floating devices are in the garage. There is a mooring and dock space for your boat, or a rental boat that can be rented from the Kezar Lake Marina.

The clay tennis court is for all to enjoy. There is a sign-up sheet that goes up early in the morning but most of the time sign-up is not necessary.

Even though our house is private, we are a five minute drive from a beautiful par 72 golf course, a world class brew pub, a classic New England Country store and multiple antique stores.

We have a golf cart to use on the Westways property. It is a quick way to get to the beach.

If you are into hiking, snowshoeing, skiing there are numerous great hiking right around or near the house.

Why Sarah Wilson chose Lovell

We purchased this home as a gathering spot for our immediate and extended family and we chose to get married up at the lake as we couldn't imagine a more ideal setting. Time just slows down at Kezar Lake. Whether walking the trails on the common property just outside our front door, playing tennis on the Westways court, swimming at the Westways beach, sitting on our dock in the evening watching and listening to the loons on the lake or visiting our local farmers' market for locally grown, organic produce, our time at the lake allows us to connect and be present with each other. We often tell people that our second home is the nicer of our two homes. We did not set this house up as a rental, and you will be thrilled at all our house has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Our house is set in the north corner of the Westways community. It is completely private and at the end of the road. However, whether by foot or using our golf cart, the 100+ acre Westways property has much to offer guests such as a clay tennis court, a bowling alley, walking/jogging/snowshoeing trails, a picnic/firepit area and a beach area with shade and grass perfect for families with young children. In the fall, we are a short drive from the Fryeburg Fair (less than 10 miles from our house) and in the winter, you two ski areas, Shawnee Peak and Sunday River are a short drive away.

Outstanding vacation rental!

  • 5 of 5

My family has stayed at many vacation rentals in Maine and New Hampshire. This rental property exceeded them all. We had an outstanding time; fishing, boating, swimming, and enjoying quiet time. The home had everything we needed; a well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. An advantage of this property is the proximity of the Center Lowell Market. The market is a very short drive from the house and has everything you would need. Highly recommend this rental!!

Great house, location and a terrific week.

  • 5 of 5

Our group of family and friends has rented homes in a variety of states over the last 20-plus years, and this tremendous Kezar Lake home takes the cake for being the most well outfitted place from top to bottom. We were a group of eight aged 19 through 78 this time around, and we all had a terrific time. Everything we could have imagined was here already, from a coffee bean grinder to a couple of kayaks and everything in between. The house itself is gorgeous and well-appointed, and the days and nights spent out on the deck were sublime. We had an issue with the hot water, but the homeowners addressed it quickly and efficiently (as they did with every detail leading up to the rental), and we cannot recommend this place highly enough. We're hoping to return ourselves one of these summers!

Unbelievable - Amazing - Can't wait to go back!

  • 5 of 5

We had an unbelievable stay on Kezar Lake. The house was immaculate, spacious and so comfortable to stay in with small children. The basement was a dream come true for the kids with an endless amount of toys to play with a space to run around in -- especially when it was raining outside. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in with all of the things you would need to prep & cook, and then some. When we arrived we noticed a small problem with the hot water which was resolved within an hour after we reached out to the owners. They were responsive, attentive and caring. We wouldn't hesitate to come back in a heartbeat again next summer and every summer if we could!

Gorgeous, Meticulously Kept Home on Kezar Lake

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a weekend away with friends in the middle of March. The home was absolutely stunning, with tons of space for everyone and a large basement with toys, books and a ping pong table for the kids. Not only was the home and location on Kezar lake gorgeous, but the owner was such a pleasure to work with. She was extremely accommodating, generous and responsive. Needless to say, we will definitely be back! Already tried to reserve again for the summer, but not surprisingly, it's already booked solid. If you are considering renting this home, you will not be disappointed!

A Rare Jewel

  • 5 of 5

We just finished our week at the Wilson's home on Kezar Lake and I received this request to write a review. It is with great pleasure that I write this review. Our weekend was one we won't soon forget! This property is about as good as it gets. The description of the home was spot on.The whole property was clean and extremely well maintained. The Wilson's attention to detail is extrordinary! The Wilsons were as accommodating as they could be...they saw to our every need. The home itself is absolutely gorgeous as is the setting on Kezar Lake. In the master suite, you wake up every morning to the most spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains that just about takes your breath away! All the other bedrooms also have views of the lake as well. The beautiful, well equipped kitchen, lovely great room and porch all overlooking the most beautiful view of Kezar Lake was so much fun to cook in, relax in, and just enjoy. We did not want to leave! We spent a day on the lake on a boat we rented from Kezar Lake Marina...also awesome people to deal with..... which was out of this world...we enjoyed the fair for a day and we visited the summit of Mt. Washington another day via the Cog Railway....although it was hard to leave the home for our day trips...the area offers so many fun things to do we fit in as much as we could.

We would highly recommend this home to others...and we thank the Wilson's for one of the nicest weeks we've ever had!

Sincerely,

Paula Higgins and group

Step back in time and get away from it all to a pristine, well zoned, private lake with a glorious view of the White Mountains. Center Lovell is not highly commercialized. There are no billboards, malls or restaurant chains (although North Conway, NH is a short drive away). Enjoy an the simple elegance of a town and lake that prides itself on looking much the same as it did 70 years ago.
