About Dorothy Ann Snowball
I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Idaho in the late 70's. Attended John Burroughs Junior High, Fairfax High, University of Colorado and graduated with a degree in accounting from Woodbury University in Los Angeles. Started my career with Touche, Ross (now Deloitte) and I am still a practicing CPA. My three children and two of four grandchildren all live here in Boise.

Why Dorothy Ann Snowball chose East End
I have lived in my current home for 25+ years and have owned numerous rental properties for the same number of years. With the trend in "little houses" I thought it might be fun to make use of my backyard and build a little rental property. Traveling around the world I have often stayed in B&B's and enjoyed the atmosphere so very different from a hotel. In addition when we remodeled my residence several years ago I found it very difficult to find a short term rental and feel there is a market for this type of rental.
What makes this Cottage unique
My reason to locate to Boise's East End is that it has wider streets but is a quiet neighborhood close to everything that I enjoy and all the neighbors are friendly.
Best Cottage in Boise !
In my VRBO Boise search, nothing compared to the uniqueness of Dorothy's Pensione! Nestled in a quiet, older, tree-lined neighborhood, it had everything you could possibly want and then some. Decor is a colorful, fun, retro style with a spa-like bathroom including W/D. Designer touches were everywhere and we looked forward to returning there after a day of sightseeing. Memory foam bed was awesome. Appreciated private parking space, easy code entry lock, Direct TV, fast Wi-Fi, and ample closets and drawers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next summer. Thank you, Dorothy, for creating this delightful cottage!
Such a great place to stay in Boise! The charm and comfort of the accommodations exceeded all expectations and we look forward to staying here again,
Great cottage in a great location
This was our first visit to Boise and staying at Dorothy's cottage made it even more special. We came for a college tour to visit Boise State. Everything we could have needed was in the unit, including the use of bikes which allowed us to cruise the greenbelt river trail. She provided us with advice and recommendations, and the unit has a wonderful notebook full of information for visitors. We so appreciated the keurig coffee cups provided to us for morning coffee! This cottage was so quaint, decorated beautifully and has the MOST comfortable bed and pillows. We had a car with us and were able to park easily behind the unit. We were able to drive everywhere we wanted to within about 7 minutes! The location is fantastic and safe- beautiful tree lined streets and cute homes. If my daughter chooses Boise State, this guest home will be my home away from home when I come for visits!!! Thank you Dorothy for your hospitality!!
We did get to met Dorothty.
We ended up staying her the main house due to a mix up of some sort. We had no issue with the change.
Thanks Kathy. It was a pleasure to have you as guests. Dorothy
We love Dorothy's pensione!
My husband and I stayed at Dorothy's in Boise for the second time in the last year, and we love the place. It's great for 1-2 people, centrally located, has heat and laundry and any other amenity you would need. And thank you Dorothy for getting a much-improved broadband connection for our house hunt--very helpful!! Patricia and Kevin
So happy to host you and Kevin again and also glad the wifi helped with the house hunt. Looking forward to you becoming ID residents and friends.
Really nice place and thoughtful host.
Very clean and quiet place.
Linnea, Thanks for the kind review. Hope you come and visit Boise again. Dorothy
