Anticipate the magic that most people dream of as you climb a long private road thru a priv. vineyard and arrive at this estate on top of the hill overlooking the largest ocean reserve on Earth. A transformative serenity and energy are impactful when staying. The view of Hearst Cove is why he also built 3 miles above the ocean.

Very open floor plan on one story with a mini suite a few steps up that is about 600 sq ft. Rooms have either an ocean or mountain view(I prefer the mountain view) home is 4000 sq feet. Dining room, bar, Master suite, 4 bathrooms and 6 sleeping areas to house up to 20. We have companion tents for an additional fee.

This entire house runs off the sun and uses water from deep earth wells from the aquifer below the house. The house has a generator for additional power needs.

We can arrange reservations for your group in advance. Delivery is an option for an extra fee. Yes we allow weddings and events here with prior written approval and our other 4 Homes and can sleep about 50 in homes and our on site Tent Bungalows. Pricing depends upon size, time of yr, and we can arrange all rentals in house, catering full bar etc. There are 10-15 sites to choose from Mountain view, ocean view, creekside etc.

Fast Fowarding to the Past in an Off the Grid state of mind. Less is More.

From El Toro Ca family from South Dakota. Went to USC Entrepreneur program started Dynamic Medical Systems and exited to unplug and be a family man.

Having little appetite for the stock market I went from San Diego to the Central Coast looking for acreage. Once I found this land it made it was an easy decision nothing compared.

Next door to Hearst Castle, great microclimate, no airplanes, no oil rigs, largest ocean reserve on Earth, easy to get there and a great drive to arrive. Wanted to do an experiential Farm/ forest to fork and started and put our flagship restaurant bar,market, wedding venue, below these places on the water and have been told the best properrty in is humbling and hard to reconcile.

Knowing about distribution it made no sense why tomatoes are shippped to countires while we buy them from the same country~ reduce food miles = less need to fighting over energy/ resources. Don't like consumerism everyone works too much and it is avoidable.

There are no such things as droughts although I do love dry humor.


70's best era in music ,but an 80's kid. The Cult, Billy Idol 2 best from the 80's in my opinion. Whodini most underrated OG hip hop. Kings of Leon, Bob Marley are staples. Every band should have both a male and female vocalists. I do a lot of free consulting mostly unsolicited✌️

Mexican food my favorite cuisine and Elf is a good lighthearted movie granted about 10 yrs behind on movies.

Life question: How did natives live happily off the land with no commuting, no late fees, deadlines or jobs and how do we integrate a life of enjoyment?

Amazing property and location with breath taking views. Quiet and tranquil. House is in disrepair, not supplied and dirty. Owner not responsive. Example - there for five days and outside trash bin was overflowing with garbage piling up next to it when we arrived and still there when we left. Missing light bulbs throughout the house and no response from owner, fridge and tub were disgustingly filthy, nails protruding from kitchen floor, deck railings not secure, no dish soap, dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent. Minimal kitchen supplies and what was there was grimy and needed thorough scrubbing -pots, pans, Coffee mugs etc. Blinds on bedroom with ocean view didn’t work so no way to raise them without taking them completely off. Central air did not work so house became unbearably hot in 90 weather. Internal doors either did not latch closed or could not be closed because they locked themselves. Beds and rooms were clean and comfortable with nice linens and pillows. No on could come up to remove the trash but someone did bring a family up to show the property while we were out eating breakfast on the patio. They strolled around, took pictures etc and acted as if we were not even there. Hugely invasive. Would go back in a second for the location and views if it were a better cared for place with a responsive owner.

Fair. Nice house and beautiful view

People should know that the house is way up in the mountain about 20 min from the beach area on a very narrow one way road. Windy and a bit dangerous. No lights st night so even more dangerous.

A few issues such as not very clean, microwave broken, sheets on bed an issue, no kitchen towels or paper towels , no sponges to clean. No garbage bags. No batteries in the tv remote. Could use a real refreshment in the amenities and a good deep cleaning

Owner's Response: Thanks for the words and will address any deficiency this was our only low rating made us make sure it never happens again. The kitchen towels, linen issue has been corrected--this was due to an employee change and the transition in September. We have since redecorated this house that will be shown in photos @ the end of the month(home being repainted and new flooring) in the next 3 weeks. As for the road this is the only time I have heard about no lights on a road---there are no street lights on PCH or Big Sur either--a good thing and why we have world class star gazing. We have just signed on Turnkey Property Management which will give us and our guests have a positive and seamless experience. In our 1st year it has been a learning that some people use the outdoor BBQ 5x a day-some use 3 towels a day per person etc and how to manage the variability & needs of all guests. It is also why we don't charge full price yet as once we move to Turnkey in November 2017 we will have a significant increase in prices that the place deserves along with other value added services & packages that guests have expressed interest in while staying with us especially our repeat guests.

Fabulous location. Wonderful weekend with family.

I wish 4.5 stars were an option! This was a great place to stay for the weekend. We had 14 family members and all slept comfortably using the four bedrooms and one air mattress that we took with us. The house is large and accommodating. It could use a little bit of updating to make it just that little bit more posh.

Owner's Response: Appreciate the compliments & addressed the updates that have happened on previous comments. Also just hired Turnkey as a management company. I say this to the industry not to you: The star rankings & value propositions on property rentals as an industry needs some discussion. In the area folks pay $250-$400 plus for any hotel room--which is 150 sq ft. w/neighbors and they come with a TV. Everything works,but the expectations are very low & you know what you are getting. Rent any home for a thousand a night for 15 people and folks can have issues with every aspect from the garage, weather, knobs, yard, design, roads its pretty interesting as hotels don't have all those amenities while the per head charge is lower than the hotel. So we will take that as a learning experience and assure every guest has a predictable stay & all bases beyond covered for an amazing stay & charge what it is worth per guest.

A very special place, no matter where your from.

My family gathered at the Noel property recently for my Father's 80th Birthday. The property allowed all of us to stay in one house which was key. But the location made the gathering exceptional. I would highly recommend the Noel property for any group that simply wants go get away and enjoy nature and each other. Perfect location. We were completely satisfied. Thank you.
