Cyprus for a perfect holiday:-: Cyprus is the third largest Island in the Mediterranean, it is an island of beauty & a country of contrasts. Cool, pine-clad mountains are a complete scene-change after golden sun-kissed beaches. Tranquil, timeless villages are in striking contrast to modern cosmopolitan towns. Luxurious beach side hotels can be exchanged for large areas of natural unspoilt countryside. Yet in Cyprus all distances are easily manageable, mostly on modern roads & highways - with a secondary route or two for the more adventurous. The summers are long & hot, fruit trees buckle under the weight of their bounty as do the vines, the grapes of which go into producing some fine local wines. The Island has long been of great strategic importance and boasts the legacy of many of its occupying empires, fortifications built by the Crusaders still stand. A holiday here is idyllic, there are lots to see & plenty to do, the welcome is warm & the weather likewise.

Local shopping:-: Part and parcel of any holiday is the question of what to take home. Leather is very good value. The shoe shops stock up-to-date styles at very reasonable prices. Handbags, suitcases and jackets are a good bargain. Shoes and jackets, as well as men's suits and shirts, can be made-to-measure within a week or so. Handicrafts abound on every shopping street. A good spot to view them is the Cyprus Handicraft Centre in Lefkosia, with retail shops in every town. Small items of the distinctive, traditional pottery make good gifts, & so does Cyprus copper ware and filigree silver. Always popular is the beautiful 'Lefkaritika' or ' Lefkara Lace'. Folkweave, needle and crochet work, woodwork and basketwork are a few more of the things visitors like to take home with them, not to mention Cyprus brandy which can be bought by the demijohn, Commandaria & even Halloumi - the Cyprus cheese.

Golfing:-: Paphos is the new jewel in the crown for golfers seeking golf breaks in the warmth of the eastern Mediterranean. It offers golfers challenging world class championship courses, warm hospitality and almost year round sunshine. There are 18 hole Golf courses to choose from. Tsada Golf Club which is just 20 minutes from Paphos town, 550 metres above sea level to ensure cool breezes during the summer months. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6,060 metres. The Secret Valley Golf Club is 18 kilometres east of Paphos lying within a scenic valley and offers panoramic views. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6,120 meters. The Aphrodite Hills Golf Complex is a unique up-market experience The Award Winning Golf course is located near to the birthplace of Aphrodite, only 2 mins from the main Limassol-Paphos highway. The course is in a fantastic setting on 2 plateaux, 300m metres high. It plays to a Par 71 & measures 6,665 metres. New Elena Golf Course is very near on the road to Limassol straight from the Apartment.

spacious well equipped comfortable apartment

This apartment is situated in a convenient location on a bus route with local shops and a bar within walking distance. Ideal for couples and families the complex has a lovely pool right outside the patio area. Comfortable furniture and spacious well equipped kitchen, ample towels and fresh bedding available if required. Would recommend this apartment for a relaxing holiday in Cyprus.

Very spacious and well equipped

This apartment is fantastic, we couldn't believe how big it was. The open plan lay out of the kitchen/living area worked very well for us as the sun terrace was plenty big enough to sit out for dining. The aircon was fantastic and essential in July!

The pool area was relatively quiet most days and we often found that we had the pool to ourselves which was nice.

It is walking distance to the town and harbour but if you're going when it's very hot I would recommend hiring a car. We walked in to the harbour a couple of times and got a taxi back which was only about 10 euros for 4 of us.

The booking process was great, Christine was so helpful and even arranged the extra equipment we needed for our children so it was in the apartment when we arrived. If we return to Paphos we will certainly be staying here again!

A brilliant apartment

It was not like a normal holiday apartment you get on the package holiday, small and cramped with minimum facilities,but had large rooms,2 excellent bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen with everything you need and of course the much needed air conditioning.

We found a walk to Debenhams just to the north of us not too tiring and their food hall was excellent.

The pool was excellent and regularly cleaned out,which was good.

We did find the walk down to the front in the heat sometimes difficult, however we did notice that bus bays have been constructed but no bus service as yet.

We were alsoe pleased with the food items we found on arrival, saving us having to rush straight out to get food. Again the litch came into its own as we ate in considerably more that we ate out!

The apartment is located on the development of Sirena Olympia just a 25 minute walk from the main Kato Paphos tourist area with shops, restaurants & bars. The famous fishing harbour overlooked by the medieval fortress where in the evening the tavernas that line the quayside come alive serving fresh fish & the traditional Cypriot 'Meze' is a 25 minute stroll away. There is a regular bus service from across the road to the port and tourist area. There is a small shop 10 minutes walk from the apartment, also a taverna next door to the shop which offers excellent food, very good value and very large portions!! They also do a take away service. Paphos has established itself as the main tourist resort in Cyprus, there are many places of interest. A guidebook can be found at the property. Not to be missed are the Troodos Mountains and closer to home the Paphos villages where time has stood still. Hiring a car is easy & relatively inexpensive (available for pick up & drop off at the airport)
