Outstanding renovation of a 1890 house in the upcoming Elliotborough- Cannonborough, steps away from the bustling Upper King area. Leave your car in the driveway and walk to the city`s best restaurants, bars and shops.

This house is one of a kind- the unique design merges the historic elements of the home with the luxuries of contemporary living. Every room in the house offers a glimpse at the historic architecture with exposed beams in the ceilings, fireplaces and brick furnaces.

The house has a driveway for 3 cars (1 small)- on street parking is only 1 hour except for Sundays. There is a bedroom with a full bed, walk-in closet and access to the guest bathroom with a shower, which can be locked and used as an en-suite at night. The open floor plan faces the backyard and provides an intimate experience. High ceilings and large windows illuminate the space.

Upstairs there are two more bedrooms, one with a full bed and the other with a queen bed, which share a jack and jill bathroom. Laundry room with a stackable washer and dryer.

The en-suite master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet and an incredible master bathroom with double vanities, separate shower, a freestanding tub and a water closet.

The house is fully equipped with kitchen supplies, toiletries and everything you need to make you feel right at home.

Guest will be provided an access code to the electronic lock.

Elliotborough/cannonborough is one of the most upcoming neighborhoods in the Charleston peninsula with new and exciting businesses opening in every corner. In just a few blocks you can find local coffee shops, bakeries, groceries, bars and incredible restaurants to suit all your needs.Stroll through scenic downtown to the Aquarium, Waterfront and Battery park.

You can walk almost everywhere but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Charleston bike taxi & Charleston Rickshaw, green taxi or yellow cab.

Beautiful design with a wonderful location

Do not hesitate to book this wonderful home for your stay in Charleston. It is an easy 15 minute or less walk to anything you could want near upper King Street and if you aren't up for a long walk only a $5 Uber ride if you want to head downtown.

This home is so thoughtfully designed, our group felt incredibly lucky to stay in such a beautiful space. Laura was responsive and flexible with our needs.

We did wish for a few more window coverings/blinds in some of the main areas.

A great place to stay

This is a great bungalow. Very recently remodeled with a twist of modern. My family loved it.

We walked downtown, rode our bike and had coffee on the back patio. It was less than 2 miles from the wedding venue for our bridesmaids.

our stay at "Modern Twist in the Holy City"

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children spent 3 nights for our niece's wedding in Laura's lovely home in the Cannonborough area of Charleston. The location was perfect for attending all of the downtown wedding festivities. The home was clean, bright, updated and the perfect floor plan for our family. We loved the wood floors as our 1 year old grandson enjoyed crawling around the spacious downstairs area. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very modern. Side driveway parking was tight for an SUV, van and compact car. We did get one $45 parking ticket for having a car protrude into the sidewalk. It would be nice to have long wall mirrors in the bedrooms. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has all utensils and appliances needed. All in all, a lovely two-story house for a vacation in downtown Charleston.

Beautiful home in a revitalizing area within walking distance of downtown historic area

The home was beautiful, new and clean. Plenty of amenities to keep us comfortable. Rooms were far enough apart that that it felt private at night even with four couples. Parking was slightly an issue if you have cars.
